Let's get something straight. I've googled LOST and looked it up in wikipedia. I just don't get it. They crashed in a jungle, now it's actually an island but there are houses with kitchen appliances, food, gas, cars. I'm lost but getting addicted.:happytv:

Actually there is only 1 car, and it was found in the jungle in bad shape. They managed to jump start it by rolling it down a hill. That is the only vehicle on the island (except for boats). And the people who were already on the island do have access to the outside world, so that's how they would get something if they needed it. And food is dropped by the company who put the other people there to do their experiments. It's very hard to explain and you have to have watched from day 1, but it's the BEST show!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey Gina, in a year or 2 we might be moving in your end if Denis gets the job he applied for, the job is in TO so we would eventually have to move!!

You should check out North of the big city. That's where we live. The traffic into the city isn't as bad. Just a tip...check us out

All this banana talk, I had to go buy a bag of circus peanuts this morning LOL. I believe your bananas and our circus peanuts are one in the same. When they rang up at WalMart they actually show up on the receipt as bananas LOL.

Sandy,
I hope you can a room for this cruise......I know of one cat 4 that will be opening up in the near future!

Maybe that's the one I got. I called DCL yesterday and a cat 4 was available so I grabbed even though we really want a 5 or 6. There's only the two of us, so we really don't need a family stateroom. They only waitlist for suites, so we'll have to keep calling every day to see if a vernda opens up..

Thanks to those of you who IMed me offline.

So, who is going to summarize the last 400 some odd pages for me? :lmao:

By way of introduction, my DW (Judy) and I are veteran cruisers. This will be our 5th DCL cruise. We last went on the Member cruise in 2006. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary a month late, which is why we're jumping into this cruise so late. We originally wanted to do a cruise to Bermuda where we honeymooned, but we couldn't find the right cruise at the time of our anniversary. Besides, my company is closed the week of the 11th, so this works out better for us.

Good Morning all!

I am curious what people are planning for excursions. I have some ideas to do with our boys, but figured I would ask and see if anyone else has some interesting ideas. We are not generally beach people (Sean does not like getting wet since he was unable to until about 2 yrs ago... had a permanent IV placed until then and we had to do sponge baths). He does love critters though... and is currently enjoying history a LOT. Older boy is a boy scout and wants to be an astronaut, but still tends to shy away from high adventure type stuff.. he needs to get OVER that if he is really going to fly out into space! LOL!

Also, has anyone ever done the REAS? Was thinking it might be fun even though we will have the kids along...

Thanks!

Heidi

Hi Heidi!! how old are your boys? mine are 4 and 6 by the time we sail.
In St. Maarten we want to visit the Zoo, Butterfly Farm, Maho Beach to watch airplanes fly very low over the beach, some shopping and a few hours spent at Divi beach.
In St. Thomas we want to visit Coral World, visit the skyride and maybe watch the bird show there, some shopping also of course! LOL

Thanks. Btw, this will be our second Eastern on DCL, third time to St. Thomas. (We went to San Juan, St. Thomas and Tortola last year on Carnival). So if I can be of any help too, please feel free to ask.

Hmmm, why didn't my new sig show up?

Thanks Sandy and Welcome to our crusie family!!!

Nancy, got your pm that you got the chocolates I sent out, thats great!!!Enjoy!

The boys are 11 and 13 (14 by the time of the cruise...). Sean would love to do the semi submarine but is terrified of climbing the ladder to his physical issues over the years. Gonna work on that once the weather warms up a bit and hopefully that will help..
