Hi all....wow....found the new thread!!! Can't believe you guys chat so much....away from the boards for a few weeks and you guys rack up the posts!!!

Big doings here in NY with the Giants celebration!! Going to be a big ticker tape parade and celebration at Giants stadium. We are outside the city but the whole area is hopping.

Well, let's see what has been happening....DD19 left for London for her study abroad semester early January and we miss her so much!!! Thank goodness for Skype....almost every day we can see and talk to her through Skype. She is keeping really busy and has already been to Wales, Amsterdam and is going to Dublin at the end of the month. Allie is a fashion major and one of her classes in London was picked to work the London Fashion Show next week!! They get to dress models and seat the people, keep the lines moving ect. We are going to visit her soon for a week....back to jolly ole London!!!.

Got most of our cruise plans set.....booked our airfare already...Continental had some great fares out before Christmas for October....

We decided on going to WDW for 2 nights pre cruise and then spend the night before at the Marriott Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral. We booked Wilderness Lodge at WDW.

Only thing really left is car rental and waiting to book Palo, excursions, etc.

How is everyone doing??? Seems like you are all very busy!!! Sorry to hear about all the kids being under the weather with various things....we had the flu come through and hit oldest DD and hubby.....I avoided it luckily!!

I am really going through cruise withdrawl though.....it will two years since our last cruise when this cruise comes around.....I really want to go NOW!!!

Last week took DD to Dancing with the Stars tour for her birthday. It was great...but poor Wayne Newton.....he could barely sing but kept plugging along doing about 3 or 4 songs....his voice kept cracking and disappearing....found out later he recently had throat surgery but I think he should have said something about it to let people know he was recovering....many who don't know his career must have thought he was just a horrible singer....there would be a collective groan in the audience each time he came out on stage to sing. We felt very bad for him but he carried on like a trooper!!!

Then I went to see the Hannah Montana move/concert with some friends at midnight on Saturday!!! I had to see what all the hoopla was about. Well...she really is a great little performer. I enjoyed it.....it was funny...here we were 8 adult friends surrounded by tons of little kids....I was really surprised how many parents took their real little ones to the midnight show...it was sold out but everyone had a good time!

Anyway....just wanted to keep up with the thread.....glad I found the new chapter!!!

That is all so very exciting, you have been very busy. I think we are all wishing the cruise was here already!!! I know I can't wait!!

My goodness, you can't catch a break, well get all the sicknesses out of the way before you vacation. Pink eye is not fun, sorry to hear that

yep, I've got some of that to do as well, I was in the school this morning and I am taking the kids over pancakes for lunch and I have yard duty then back home to finish cleaning to get ready to take Jenna to dance and Jake to Mad Science. I will fit the DIS in there somewhere as well as a coffee!!

Hey MJ, glad to see you back here!

Also glad to hear you enjoyed Hannah, I was waiting for your response on the other thread we were discussing the movie on. She really is an amazing perfomer for someone so young!

Your daughters life right now sounds very exciting!!!!

I have the Hyatt booked for before and after, and airfare was done in October. I still have to figure out the transportation to and from though, as well as excursions, etc.

Josh is also taking an after school program called super science and he LOVES it! last week they made a lava bottle and GOO!!!! can't wait to see what they do tomorrow LOL

HI all! It's weird to be home in the middle of the day! The dad was home about 1130! I think everyone wanted a nap before going to see Diego.

We were researching stuff for the cruise the other day. I think we are going to go with a rental car. It's cheaper then using DCL buses or getting a car service. We are debating between Pop Century and Coronado Springs. Although Coronado is a moderate resort, it still has double beds and only one sink...which is what we would get at Pop for about $100 less. Then we were contimplating the dining plan. For us, even without the tip, it might still be worth it. We are trying to decide what to do friday. I am pretty sure we are going to do the Magic Kingdom, but if they have MNSSHP, then we could do HDDR that night, or just walk DTD or just swim in the pool...or both! Then, upon return of the cruise, it looks like the boys are leaning towards going to USO/IOA. If we do that, then we'll stay at one of the USO hotels....we've stayed at The Hard Rock and Royal Pacific before. When looking online this weekend, the only hotel that was listing available was Royal Pacific. I told Steve, the others might not have released the dates yet? WHY would they be sold out already? So, we'll watch and see if we can catch a code for both WDW and USO.

Making pancakes tonight...decided not to go to church since Connor stayed home again today. I am starting to think that whatever he has, has nothing to do with whatever the food related stomach symptoms. I think he might have a touch of a stomach bug! Never has his belly aches lasted 24 hours...usually just about 3.

Off to make some kind of dessert for tonight.

Hi Michele!! maybe Connor just caught a virus!! poor guy!!!!
we are also getting in Orlando on Friday and doing shopping pretty much the whole day!!!! hey it's my first time in Florida and I want to shop LOL we are renting a car probably Budget and staying at the port. We also decided to stay for an extra day after the cruise just to wander around and relax a bit before flying home on Sunday.

Allegiant Air hasn't released dates past August. Our plan is to fly out Thursday after the kids get out of school...the flight is at like 6pm, arrive in Sanford about 730, get our car and check in...maybe take a dip in the pool or just get a bite to eat. However, I was just looking at the Allegiant site, and it seems they have changed the flight to an AM flight, which means the boys would miss ANOTHER day of school...not good. I'll have to see what the Saturday flight times are. They don't fly on Mon and Fri to Sanford. Going to have to play around once they post the actual flight days. I bet they are changing flight times since they have added Ft Lauderdale and Tampa. Also, the flight out on the Sunday after the cruise is 7AM! UGH...I know after a day at the parks, I WON'T want to get up that early. We would have to leave the hotel by 5am to get there by 6 to check in. DOUBLE UGH! Hopefully, they will post the schedule soon!

Sounds, like you have it all planned out for the cruise. The Wed. before we are going to go to SSR..I still need to get the car booked to take us to the port. Also, need my airfare but am waiting for AirTran or JetBlue since we have credit on both and need to use them up....

Hope Connor feels better really soon!!!!!!!!!!!
