View this as you may, maybe I am just trying to bump up my posts or maybe I am posting something to do with the cruise LOL
Since there is internet access in the rooms now, how many people are bringing their laptops on the cruise and how much time will you buy? We were thinking it would be nice to keep in touch with family members and friends. How much time are you going to buy? If the guys go out one night and the girls are stuck in their rooms or vice versa. I just remember from experience that once the kids go to sleep, we are prisoners in our rooms.

I don't think I want to keep in touch with anyone really. If I bring my laptop, my bosses might find they need to contact me for something. I think I prefer to be unreachable!

I was doing a search just for the fun of it to see what would come up for DCL for our cruise and up it came. Prices do include air though but I thought it was alot to. I thought it was interesting too.

I just compared their prices to mine, and the listed prices are $900-$1000 more per cabin compared to mine. But with airfare and transfers (airfare from MN is not cheap), it's actually not too much more. A couple hundred maybe. I see it includes gratuities, so I guess it's actually about the same.
I notice also included is a "check in worship", gee, I am not getting that with my rate LOL.

Ok here is the background my kids go to the same school that I student taught at and taught at..So the principals know me very well. Their Kinder. teacher was my mentor my first year teaching...

Last year in May the PTA our parent organization invited all parents to go to the end of the year party. SO all KInder. parents were invited. THe principal was there. The PTA needed a newsletter person and a co-chair for the science fair. I hate Science.. BIG Mistake I tell them whatever they need help with I'll do..Mistake number one. SO I end up doing the monthly newsletter that is such a pain and goes home with every kid every month. It is like 7-8 pages long. Takes hours to do. Then at the Nove. meeting they announce that I'm, co-chair for the science fair...UGH!!! The other mother is all gung hoo!!!!!!! SHe has a meeting at her house to discuss the science fair. I went and was not really into it...Then in Dec. she had another meeting a ton of other parents showed up..She knew at that meeting that I was having surgery and could not help out at that time..THen I had the surgery and well you know all about that, etc. They had two meetings about the science fair at the time Jan, etc. and I did not go. She has been nice to CC me on all the emails but I have done nothing at all to help out. SHe emailed me Friday saying she wanted to have a meeting at her house on Monday night. I can not go~DH will not be home and truthfully I do not want to go...I know it sounds bad. But at that time of night I still am tired and not well enough to be out late. Also, a side note my kids are too young to partake in the fair anyways. The night of the fair is the first Friday in April too five days before we leave for Florida. Plus, that weekend our friends from our first cruise are going to be here I just found out since their daughter has a dance competion in this area of CT..Then my kids come home Friday bounding off the bus. WIth a paper in hand asking for Volunteers for their cultural day event also run by our PTA. They are screaming mommy can you help out with this for our class..Ms. Clevleland said to ask you to help out...Well, this is the same week Wed. of the science Fair. Science Fair is that Friday night and set up is Thursday night. What to do. ????????
I would like to tell this women that since I have done nothing for the Fair I just am not up to being part of this comittee but then how can I be helping out with this cultural thing...Any thoughts??

DH tells me I volunteer for to many things that is why this happens. I also, need to keep in mind that I go back to my dr. on Friday and truthfully have not been "cleared" by him for any of this stuff as of yet. Sorry, for being so long winded but not sure what to do..???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristin, I completely understand where you are coming from, as a SAHM I also seem to take on alot of things at the kids school and feel guilty if I don't. Having said that, due the circumstances, I think this lady would completely be understanding if you bowed out. Like Nancy said, explain that since you haven't been involved thus far it would make sense to not help run it. That way if you want to help with the cultural day which involves your children you are free to. Also with the amount that will be going on during that time, you won't be able to be focused on the event. Also don't feel bad about it, its not like you aren't involved, it sounds like you do alot as it is, the newsletter sounds time comsuming!

honestly I would just kindly say to the lady from the fair that since you were not well enough to go to the last meetings and missed most of the planning you really feel like you don't really know what's going on. just excuse yourself and say maybe next time you would like to help but this time you don't feel up to it!!! Then if you want to do the cultural day event with your girls then do. You shouldn't feel obliged to do anything. I'm sure that lady will understand since you have not been feeling very well at all!! I would get involved with things my boys would actually be in!! just my 2 cents hope this helps!

Hello all! Busy day! Kristin, sorry I didn't call, but really, it's your fault! LOL See after church, the boys and I ran to Michaels, we found the foam pirate ship..if anyone needs one, they had more.....and stuff to make candy. My boys were in hog heaven! I don't know how many we made, but they worked on them for like 3 hours! Connor weighed the container of made ones, and it weighs like 3 pounds! LOL Needless to say, we are ready to send out chocolates! Once we got those made it was time to make dinner. I haven't even had a chance to read the Sunday paper yet!

I like the second siggy better....but the first one is great too! I'll use both, one for our door and one for the boys!

Have to tuck in the boys..BRB....
