AMEN!!! We have seen one of those Carl Edwards backflips in person when he won the Busch race at Nashville!!

Allen I don't think she has them blocked. I think she has too few posts to get them I forget how many you have to have to use them.

I've never been to Nashville for anything. I'd like to go 1 day. Ever been to a race at Bristol? That's on our list too. And Darlington, Talladega....

I'm sorry I'm sitting here being a slug myself. I need to get my act together for this week at school, but I'm slow walking it right now. Just eight more weeks until break!!!

I've never been to Nashville for anything. I'd like to go 1 day. Ever been to a race at Bristol? That's on our list too. And Darlington, Talladega....

Never been to a race anywhere but NSS. We had season tickets for 3 years. We were also at the race that Michael Waltrip won after the leader and #2 wrecked each other, on the back stretch on the last lap, and the yahoo in 3rd watched Mikey drive right by him, on the last lap. That was wild!!!

Believe me I'm counting the weeks till my break 2. Funny thing is I think I forgot how to count because when I counted the weeks on my calendar last night it said 10 full workng weeks. Tell me that's not right somebody

Ah, OK. I've seen a couple newbies on different boards saying they'd been locked out of PMs. So I thought it was that. My bad.

It is 68 days till the cruise, so 10 weeks is about right!!

I wanted to know if it's too late to join in the party you guys are having....
You all seem like some really fun people to share a cruise with.

We will be on this Eastern Cruise (our first Eastern Cruise). We have been on 2 other cruises as a family - one 4 day in 2004 and one 7 day Western in 2007. My husband and I took a 4 day cruise this last February -yes! just the two of us on a Disney Cruise
I have been an occassional "lurker" on the boards for about a year...spending LOTS of time reading and learning before each of our cruises.
This time I decided I would like to actually participate in the excitement before we actually see the ship.
My children are excited to be going on another 7 day cruise....the four day cruise was WAAAAAY too short. I have a DS who is 11 and starting middle school in a week and a half. And I have twin DDs who are 9 and will be in 4th grade this year.
Although I have read a lot on the boards and know a lot of the things that are popular for DIS members to do on cruises (door signs, fish extenders, meeting each other before the sail away party...) I have never done any of these. If it's possible, is there a list of people who have "plugged in" to this Cruise Meet thread? and if so can we be listed on it. I'd love to be able to visit prior to our trip.....I only hope I can keep everyone straight in the who's who list
I have posted one earlier reply to someone's question about an excursion we did on the Western last year. I'm not extremely computer savy and hope I can learn as I go....I enjoy all the clip art stuff although not sure how to do it.

Hello! I see you are from Kentucky. So are we. We are about three hours from you though. We live in Hindman. That is around Hazard, Kentucky. We are closer to the TN border and you are at the IN border. My step son is coming your way though. He was just accepted to law school at Louisville. He rented an appartment this past Thursday and will be moving in on Saturday the 9th.

We all have our favorite NASCAR drivers here...NONE of them include Kyle Busch I am HUGE fan of Mikey Waltrip..My Father and Hubby like Jr. of course! My FIL is a huge fan of the Oldies but goodies...Richard Petty was his FAVORITE...got tons of Nascar cars here at his house...My son always asks to play with them but not happening so we have to buy him his own LOL
Did anyone see yesterday's race??? The windshield wipers on the racecars looked funny!!

I haven't started working with the children yet. I'll start picking up some tomorrow to do some assessing. That ought to be an eye opener! Our school is a preK-4 and we've got around 600 students. I "get" to give another test at the end of August to kindergarten through third grade. However I'll be one of several testers, so it's not too bad. Just occurs on my birthday though!

Gail- I am so glad that you and Merkie are doing so much better...YUMM I like Mexican food as well...bet that was nice I have to admit that I have DS as well that I like to play when I get the free time. (usually in the bed at night LOL) those games are addicting but they are nice to play when you need something to do to keep entertained.

Merkie loves the DS. I can't play it because I can't get that stupid pencil to do what I want it to do. We have the Wii now, and I have to admit that Merkie and I are both addicted to it. It just amazes me how that thing works.
