In the morning Bruce has to replace the light in our pool and that is it. Making Texas Salsa for the :

Here is the recipe for Texas Salsa. Enjoy!

1 can black eyed peas drained
1 can corn drained
1 can black beans drained

1 orange pepper finely chopped
1 small bermuda onion finely chopped
1 4 oz. jar pimento chopped
1 jalapeno pepper diced small

Mix it all together.

DRESSING:

1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup sugar

Heat over stove until sugar dissolves, and pour over salsa.

ENJOY!


I think my mom is going to come over and hang out by the pool with us since it is going to be in the high 90's then she and my dad will stay and watch the kids for us...My dad is going out with his friend to take pictures tomorrow morning so she'll be alone. She sounded better when I just spoke with he a little bit ago!!!!!!!!!!

Pinky's and Belle's, have a great time today! I hope the Pinky's drive is okay!!!

Erika, we sort of had the same experience when we moved in. Our A/C took a dive then too. Steve first said it was because the door was open and such. After 2 more days, I told him, no, I think it's shot. This upstairs A/C has been my PITA since we moved in. It seems that every summer we are calling to get it fixed. Hopefully, this will solve all that!!!!

Alexa, CONGRATS on your performance last night!! Way to GO! When we get on the cruise, you'll have to let the performers for the shows know that you can be ready in a pinch!! Just in case someone gets sick or something, yanno??

Kristin, thanks for the salsa recipe. I am going to make it today. There's no tomatoes in it? Enjoy your day with your folks and your dinner party!!!

Maybe those of us that have booked with DU, maybe we should call them and tell them that there is going to be a reception from another agency. I mean, they wouldn't want to be out done would they? I know I would rather book with someone who did special things for me!!!! Oh well, while Kristin is at her reception, we'll steal her blender and have our own frozen drinks!

I am on the fence about going to Walmart and getting an air conditioner for the window in our bedroom. Can I do at LEAST 3 more sleeps without it???

My extended family is all going on the Oct 11 cruise . Half of us are new to cruising and half are only new to Disney cruising. The group consists of my parents, sisters, my brother-in-laws, my nephew (1 year) and myself and my husband. Thank god we are all in our own cabins for a total of 4 room reservations.

My question is in regards to Palo reservations, can one room make the reservation for all 8 of us? If not what is the easiest way to get reservations for 8 and reservation for flounder for the same time?

Disney Becky! WELCOME ABOARD!!! I have been on 2 other Disney Cruises, but I don't know the answer to your question! Although, when I made my Palo Ressies, I saw where I am linked with 2 other families and it asked me to check the box of the other people that would be at Palo. However, the one family can't book until the 75 day mark, so it would not have let me pick them. I am thinking that just one person can make the ressie, as long as they are all linked together. Make sense? GOOD LUCK! I hope you get the ressie you want!!

Good Morning everyone, from the lovely town of Cascade, Idaho. Brian is downstairs on the treadmill, and I am going to go take a bath in the therapy tub (bubbles and colored lights! LOL!). Anyone wants a special getaway, the Ashley Inn is a marvelous retreat... fireplaces in every room, lovely victorian decor... I don't think I want to go home tomorrow!

So far no phone calls from camp... I guess Sean is having a great time without us! LOL!

I am not even going to try to go back and read the last few days worth of postings... you all are just too prolific!

Okay!! I was thinking, If I am going to make this, I might as well make 2 batches! I am off to the store to get stuff to make this and I am going to make a sausage tortellini stew!! I think if I start early enough, I can toss it in the crock pot to simmer! Then I'll make a loaf of beer bread to have with it!

******ATTENTION: CRUISE QUESTION******
As some of you have pointed out, Parrotthead is mis-spelled in the green mickey ears. That is intentional because Jimmy Buffett spells his name with 2 T's. Some parrotheads spell it with one t, some with 2 t's.
THE QUESTION IS, Do y'all want me to change it to one T, or leave it alone????
BTW, for those of you who haven't been around here long, I am making the artwork for the door magnets like the green mickey head you see below, but it will have your dis-name on it, and it will be much larger. I am using the list to make the artwork. If you are not on the list, you will have to tell me you want one. Or better yet, get on the list!!!! Use the link in my signature or pm me that you want to be on the list and I will add you!!! The list has the following info on it:
Disname

first names, age and occupation for adults
first name and age of children
dinner seating (early or late)
Stateroom number
Where you are staying night before cruise (because there are parties going on at a couple of different places)

Allen, is there an official spelling of parrotheads? I looked on the Margaritaville website and it shows it with one T. but do the official parrotheads use 2? I am really . My personal opinion is one T. It just looks right....but far be it from me to call a true parrothead wrong! LOL
