******ATTENTION: CRUISE QUESTION******
As some of you have pointed out, Parrotthead is mis-spelled in the green mickey ears. That is intentional because Jimmy Buffett spells his name with 2 T's. Some parrotheads spell it with one t, some with 2 t's.
THE QUESTION IS, Do y'all want me to change it to one T, or leave it alone????:confused3 :confused3
BTW, for those of you who haven't been around here long, I am making the artwork for the door magnets like the green mickey head you see below, but it will have your dis-name on it, and it will be much larger. I am using the list to make the artwork. If you are not on the list, you will have to tell me you want one. Or better yet, get on the list!!!! Use the link in my signature or pm me that you want to be on the list and I will add you!!! The list has the following info on it:
Disname
email address
first names, age and occupation for adults
first name and age of children
dinner seating (early or late)
Stateroom number
Where you are staying night before cruise (because there are parties going on at a couple of different places)
any special occasion you might be celebrating on the cruise like

There are only 3 or 4 people that I don't have on the list.
AVOID THE RUSH, JOIN NOW!!!!!!:rotfl2:

I'll send you my friends info,. this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Oooooh, recipe please??????????

Taken from AllRecipes.com...one of my favorite websites!!

Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup

PREP TIME 15 Min
COOK TIME 55 Min
READY IN 1 Hr 10 Min

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
1 (3.5 ounce) link sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
1 cup chopped onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
5 cups beef stock
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup red wine
4 tomatoes - peeled, seeded and chopped
1 cup chopped carrots
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 cup tomato sauce
1 zucchini, chopped
8 ounces cheese tortellini
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese for topping

DIRECTIONS:
Place the sausage in a large pot over medium high heat and saute for 10 minutes, or until well browned. Drain the fat except for about 1 tablespoon, add the onions and garlic and saute for 5 more minutes.

Next add the beef stock, water, wine, tomatoes, carrots, basil, oregano and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, skimming any fat that may surface.

Add the zucchini, tortellini, green bell pepper and parsley to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until tortellini is fully cooked. Pour into individual bowls and garnish with the cheese.

I think I am going to get it started in the crock pot and let it simmer. Then I'll add the last of the veggies and tortellini in the last hour or so.

Time to get started!!! I can't beleive I forgot the chips for the salsa! I'll have to run out or have Steve stop on his way home!

Kristin!!!! This salsa is AWESOME!!!!! OMG! I made a double batch and I didn't think about how much there would be! I have mason jars, so I'll put it in them and into the fridge. have no idea how to actually can it, so just into the fridge it goes...although, it won't last long!!

Hey all,

Just got home, it started spitting as we left the Pinkeys at the zoo, we met at 10:30-ish and it only rained a little bit. It is pouring now though!!! They were going to see the sting rays so I hope they didn't get caught in it!! We had a great day together, it was seriously HOT!!!!!! We all agreed that we don't need to Wii-fit as we walked for hours!!!

The Pinkeys are great people, it sure was great meeting you all!!!:goodvibes

Just an FYI, a double batch of this salsa makes 3 quarts. It's really yummy though!!!!!!

Have a great Girls Night!!! sounds like so much fun!!

Allen, I think one t but I am easy and will go with the majority. thanks again for doing them all.

WOW!! Maybe we need to enlist you as our activities coordinator! LOL I like the idea of a pirate night group photo too...and one on the beach at Castaway Cay. hmmm....might have to think about this. I hate to do too many....don't want to have to buy 2 photo packages...one for family and one for Dis Family photos. But then again, I like these ideas!!!

I can't take credit for these things. We had some incredibly organized people on our cruise. I couldn't begin to list the activities and chotchkas that people made and gave out. We had a pre-cruise meet at the Beach Club the day before the cruise and a lot of people showed up. There were Halloween themed cupcakes, personalized ID pins, magnetic message boards to put on your door, and all sorts of goodies maybe by some very creative people. We used the meet thread to vote on a logo and used it on various merchandise we were able to purchase online (hats, t-shirts, magnets, etc.) People like Kristen and the like who managed the cruise list and also had a web site chock full of info and coordinated with DCL to organize our tables in the dining room. We even had someone who coordinated collecting everyone's pictures post cruise to create a 5 disc DVD package of photos. All in all, I think we DISers have way too much time on our hands :lmao:

CRUISE QUESTION

For St Thomas and St Maarten, do we dock or tender? If we do tender, any advice? I have never tendered before. Allow extra time when departing/arriving? Is the boat really shaky? Is it hard to get in and out of the tender? Any other advice is appreciated!

I'm sure this has already been answered, but just in case, we dock in both ports of call.

FYI - tendering is not too bad. We tendered in Grand Cayman. Yes, you do have to allow extra time to get to any planned excursions, but the tender is not at all shaky. I

thank you Sandy!! This question had not been answered!! I am glad to hear we won't be tendering, although, to me, I guess it really didn't matter one way or the other...I would get off the ship.....I was just curious!!

I also have to point out what makes Disney so special. When we returned to the ship (it was a very hot day) we passed the tender line for another cruise line. It was very long and the people were standing out in the hot sun. The line for DCL was relatively short and covered.

You are right! It's things like that, that keep us coming back! Steve asked the other day if we should rebook while on board. the boys are getting older and we thought we might try another cruise line. :scared1: I told him I think we need to go ahead and rebook and then try another line. If we are just as happy with the other line, we can always cancel and get our deposit back. That said, I highly doubt we'll do that! LOL I am pretty darn sure we'll be back!

Hi Everyone!

My extended family is all going on the Oct 11 cruise:cool1: :cool1: . Half of us are new to cruising and half are only new to Disney cruising. The group consists of my parents, sisters, my brother-in-laws, my nephew (1 year) and myself and my husband. Thank god we are all in our own cabins:banana: for a total of 4 room reservations.

My question is in regards to Palo reservations, can one room make the reservation for all 8 of us? If not what is the easiest way to get reservations for 8 and reservation for flounder for the same time?

Thanks Everyone!
:welcome: Aboard!!!! We have a list going if you are interested and we have a website. If you will send me an email (see link in my signature below) I will email you the link to the website. See post 3439 for details about the list!! For your question, I think each room has to make their own reservations for Palo. I doubt you will be able to get all 4 room booked for the same time online, if at all. You should get on the ship as early as possible and go directly (do not pass go, do not collect $200) to where ever they will be making ressies for Palo that morning to book for your group. I don't remember where that is, but someone here will!!!

Allen, is there an official spelling of parrotheads? I looked on the Margaritaville website and it shows it with one T. :confused3 but do the official parrotheads use 2? I am really :confused3 . My personal opinion is one T. It just looks right....far be it from me to call a true parrothead wrong! LOL

Thanks for all the work you have done on these Mickey Heads!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Did you get my email?? Can you help??
I am tempted to change them to 1 T. It just looks better / right. The vast majority use 1 T. Just a few use 2 T's.
I can't do much with the artwork. I got it as a Word document like it was a saved screen shot, very low resolution. I like them all. Is there a way you could send me the original artwork? Or can what ever program you are using to create them, save them as a jpeg, raw, pdf, pcx, psd, tiff, or bmp(bitmap). Photoshop can open almost any kind of artwork. Let me know!!

BigRed,

We thought about a shrimp boil tonight, but I figured you two were worn out from the sale. How did it go?

Maybe we can do it tomorrow night if Mary Margaret feels like it since she has to start school on MONDAY!!!:scared1:

I still have one week of freedom.:)

And either way you want to spell parrothead is fine with us. pirate:

That's how I got it from them. I didn't create them. HHmmm.....any ideas on how to get them posted? What if, and I know the resolution would be bad, what if I took a photograph of the screen and then posted them? Personally, I like the second one the best.
