Good Morning Parrotheads!

It's hot, hazy and humid today with scattered showers. Same as it's been the last few days. Monday it's only going to be in the 70s though! Got to love that!

If my memory is working right, then it's also a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Kristin's Dad!!! (We need to get her parents to start posting too!)

Not sure what our plans are for today. Connor wants to go look at trucks. LOL Steve is working, so there will be no new truck in the garage this evening. I could get the Walmart shopping done today too. One less thing to worry about tomorrow!

Just finished reading the Saturday paper which includes USA Weekend Magazine. In it is an article about Jimmy Buffett, he's the cover story, and an article on the creator of WiiFit! Who also created Donkey Kong, Zelda and Mario Bros! To read them online go to www.USAWeekend.com There is also a contest to win a trip to Jamaica!! You just have to come up with a NEW First verse to Margaritaville! Yikes! That seems like a daunting task! How can one recreate one of the best songs ever made? I might just have to have a go at it though!

Morning All!!
Thanks for the link to the article, Michele! My nieces gave me Buffett's book "A Salty Piece of Land" for fathers day. I'm not much of a reader, but I'll read that! I'll let you know how it goes.
Today is the pre-cruise pool party. It hasn't rained in a month, and it is supposed to rain today. We won't let that stop us though. I have the Konk Kooler fixins' ready, and Mary is making some totally sinful dessert that had chocolate chip cookie dough as a crust, snicker bars and I don't know what else in it! We will try to post some pictures live while we are there. Depends on whether I can re-size the pictures or not.....If not, I'll post when we get home!

Well, it looks like we won't be getting a new truck, and I am TOTALLY okay with that! They could not give me what I needed on my trade in and they wouldn't budge on the sticker price, so I walked away! I told them, I have a perfectly good truck that I love, so I'll take it home with me! I did tell him that if he can work the numbers some more and come to where we can meet, then to call me, but I doubt he will. Just 26 more payments and it's MINE!

We then went to the mall and spent too much money! We did make out REALLY well at Aeropostale. They had a clearance rack and all the shirts were $6! Then they had hats and flip flops for $3. I told Connor, since he got the most shirts, he would be set for school! All they'll need is long pants, but I won't buy them until October...maybe even after the cruise. It really doesn't get cold enough until then.

Okay, time to start dinner. It's hamberger helper night!
