Speaking of sub block - has anyone checked the weather for next week? Is it rainy season in the Caribbean?

I'm waiting until about tuesday or weds to check the weather channel site. Any further out and i won't trrust it too much. OH I hope its not the rainy season down there.

They say that you shouldn't use sun block older than a year old.

Actually, that's not true. You can actually use them up to 3 yrs. At least according to the Drs. my mom asked. The 1 yr thing is a scam to get you to buy more.

ONly reason i ask about the sunblock is cause the sun is stronger down there than here. BUt personally I can't even use up a whole bottle of sunblock in 3 yrs, they should make em in smaller bottles. Cause i don't buy the big ones.

Iron Ons question:

What temp does the iron have to be at and how long should i press the press the desing on the t-shirt?

hey Maureen!!
here's what I did on mine (but it depends on what brand you may have)
it says to use a HOT dry setting with NO steam. Make a small circular motion while pressing down for a few seconds.
take a peek at the corners to see if the transfer is set in place then slowly peel the backing away. if it's not set then apply more heat for a few more seconds but don't over do it, it will become a mess!! LOL

Sorry, I meant to send that to you.....Here they are from the package...
Set iron at maximum cotton setting, dry, no steam. Use a hard sturdy heat resistant surface. Press the entire transfer lightly for 20 seconds before applying heavy pressure. (It doesn't say how long with heavy pressure).
Allow the t-shirt to completely cool, then evenly peel the backing off.

I would buy a new bottle of high SPF sunblock for the cruise. We never burn in Florida when we use SPF 30 but in Cabo last year, my kids fried!!! We had to go buy some 50 and we used a lot of it! The sun in the islands is going to be much stronger than USA sun.

Okay guys, over a week ago I posted about my attempts to reach Godfrey Tours to try to change my pickup time from 9:00 to 10:00. I have continued to e-mail them everyday and I've had no response at all. I even called the number listed on the internet site twice and got an answering machine and did leave a message. No response to that either.

Can someone tell me what your experience was? I got the link from those of you on here who were using them. I got on and filled out the information slip to book the tour. I have never received anything back from the confirming the booking. Now I can't reach them. I'm starting to worried that maybe I don't even have the tour booked.

That's what I figured should happen. I just sent another e-mail. I guess if I don't hear back, I'll go to the tour bus when I get off the ship. If they won't let me on the bus, I'll just rent a car and do it all on my own. I really wanted to do it on my own anyway, but I ended up getting scared about the idea of my daughter and I driving around the island alone.
