October 11-18, 2008 Disney Magic Parrothead Pirates in Paradise Chapter 13

The pics are great!!! Wow what a week.....I am on the only one in the office and it is a zoo!!!

Anyway, thought I would pop on over to say hi!!! Time is short...we leave for WDW next Wed the 8th!!! Yeah!! Surprising hubby by staying at the Yacht Club in Club level (he things we are still at Wilderness Lodge). Two nights in the park then over to the Mariott Residence Inn for Friday, then the cruise!!! Yeah!!

This past Sunday I had a pre=cruise party for out group of 15 going on the cruise and it was hit!! I had the whole house decorated nautical/pirate and looked good. I made Pirate names for all the guests, had a pirate themed menu, made cruise line cookies (will post a pic later...they came out cute!!!), order a cookie cake with palm trees/sunset and Bon Voyage writtin on it. Made an awesome playlist of tropical songs (5 hours worth) and we got really geared up for the cruise!!!

Hope everyone is getting all their last minute stuff done.....see you all around the ship!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS TRIP!!!!

Nope...we have a 7:15 am flight out of Newark. My niece is flying out White Plains on Thursday.

Forgot to add that I called DCL this morning and asked what movies would be playing for our cruise....here is the list for the movie theatre

I also asked about the dining rotations and all they could tell me were main and late with 3 staggered times in each but could not tell me what the rotations were. Anyone else have better luck with finding out the rotations for our cruise? There was talk that they were doing away with the staggered times but I guess not so.

Thanks so much for that info. My kidlets want to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua (don't ask me why ) but thats kids for ya. They will be thrilled to hear the news.

Gina, my boys want to see BHC too and I didn't want to pay to see it! LOL I guess you could see this as I am seeing it for free, or I have paid a whole BOAT load of money to see it!

Just here for a quick second again. Just got off the phone with Shirley and got 3 baskets ordered for the boys. I wanted to get Michael the pirate one, but decided not to. I didn't want the other 2 to get upset, so I got all 3 their own sand bucket. Shirley is so nice and asked if I was with that crazy bunch the Parrotheads. I said, yes of course. Said you all are a great bunch. One more item of my list.

I think in 3rd grade, you could go with either HM or HSM. I think HM is probably the safest bet though, and there is tons of it to be found. My dd would have liked Star Wars stuff LOL!

Thanks for the tip-I saw alot of HM stuff at the Dollar Tree here. I like Star Wars too.

I agree with Kristin. Some people will wear the t-shirts on board and others like us will probably wear more photo friendly shirts for embarkation photo. We will change into Parrothead shirts before the "meet" at the pool. Probably no big deal either way, whatever you guys are more comfortable with. Hey, it's YOUR vacation!!!!!

We'll probably change into the shirts afterwards too, I'm gonna make another set I think for the emabarkation photo. Can't wait for vacation-it's too much work getting ready for vacation, but fun though.

I think we had decided to meet by the pool before Sail Away kind of informal since many of us said our kids had wanted to swim. I think some of us are wearing the shirts to board and others are putting them on after we board. Do whatever you feel comfortable with.

Pool sounds great-my kids should already be there. I'm gonna try to unpack if we get lucky enough to get our luggage early.
