Randy just left for work,, he is going to be very busy tonight!!! A tragic accident happened.......A Metrolink train and a freight train hit head on!!!!!!!!! I'm sure the train was full because of people heading home from work in L.A.!!!!!!!!!! It looks like a few people were killed and alot of people injured!!!! This wreck has happened in Randy's area, so he will probably be heading right over there after roll call!!!!!!

CNN is giving 23 injured with 10 critical now also. That's so sad! I wonder how both trains got on the same track without someone realizing it.

I'd like to know how that happened too!!!

Our gas was at $3.85 when we came home from practice at 7 and cars were in the street waiting to get in. Little did I know....Steve just called and said gas was at $4.05. A customer just got in from Myrtle Beach, SC and said gas was the same price but there was a 10 gallon limit.

I just talked shortly with Kristin. She is not happy about Bruce's situation!!!! I told her of our problem 2 years ago. Steve broke his foot about 5 weeks before our cruise! He was in a walking cast for part of it. When we switched planes, I think it was Atlanta, Colton and I ran to hold the plane as Steve and Connor hobbled up to the gate. Steve didn't go on the ruins excursion with us either. He was afraid the ground would be too rough for his still tender foot. It made for an interesting cruise.

Merkie's Dad owns a Marathon station and he has gas left, but has closed his pumps down. He contacted Marathon and they told him that those raising the prices at this point are only price gouging. But if he sells his gas at the lower price and then prices stay high and he as to buy back at the higher rate only to have prices drop again, he will lose all his profit. He elected to shut his pumps down until the price levels off.

That's what everyone is saying. Apparently they had to close half of the oil refineries in America because of the hurrican and the said even if they suffer no damage it will be up to one week before they get them back up and going. If there is damage, it could be as much as 6 months. This means that the amount of gas being produced in America will be cut in half until the refineries are back up and going. I don't know how any of this works, but even CNN is saying that it may lead to a nationwide gas crisis, but for now it's just panic by station owners who are raising prices for the crisis even hits.

Oh this is SO very interesting!!! It just burns my backside when they pull this stunt. We ALL KNOW FULL WELL that the gas in the tanks was not brought in at the higher price, so why charge it? When they have to buy the supply at a higher price, THEN we should pay the higher price! It just stinks no matter how you look at it!

Oh I know. The same thing happened here on 9/11. Some of the local station owners were actually fined for their actions then. I think gas went to something like $5.25 and the prices didn't even start at $3.86 then the way the have now.
