Lets see, yesterday (Saturday) we chilled in the condo for a bit, still recovering from our hectic travel day. I went to Universal while my wife and son went shopping. I was meeting with some guys from over at the Chain Saw Wolf boards, very cool people. I didn't do any rides, as it was packed and getting close to closing time for HHN. But I did get a few pix, here's the BB and the band in front of Mel's. We went to Blue Man Group, but like I said in an earlier post, I wasn't feeling well, and was leaving the theater to go to the bathroom a lot, that sucked, but what I did see was awesome, Sherry and Zak thought it was great as well. Thinking of going again this Saturday, so I can enjoy the show, we'll see. So today I laid around a lot, had a fever, took a bunch of tylenol and made it to HHN. Now, it didn't rain at all until we left for the parks, here's some more of the famous storm clouds floating around Orlando these days. We arrived around 4:15 and headed up to the stay & scream area by Jaws, and it really started coming down, it was pouring like crazy, so while waiting for the first house to open we stood in the little area across from Jaws where the bathrooms are. It was hot and humid, very uncomfortable! As soon as they released us, we got 3 houses done (Friday the 13th, The Thing and jack's house) by 6:45. We liked them a lot, but they'll be better when we go back when it's dark, there was some light leaking through, so that takes away from it a bit, but they were fun regardless. We also saw Rocky Horror, very good, the singing was dead on, I was impressed! We left because of the rain, I wasn't going to wait in line and get soaked. We're going 3 more nights, 2 of them with express passes, so we will get our fill of HHN. Very few pix from today because of the rain, don't want to get my new toy wet, but I did get a few. Here's a shot of the parks after they closed but before the general public was let in, the calm before the storm, according to some team members, last nights crowd at HHN was 50,000!:scared1:
Oh, almost forgot, this was pretty funny. I wanted to take a pic of the weather cam that points at Uni or IOA. So I leaned against a pole on the bridge near the globe, so I could zoom in and not have a blurry shot. OK, so, we continue into Uni and one of the Uni rent-a-cops on a bike stops me and wants to know why I was taking a picture of a security camera!!! I explained to him it's not a security camera but a weather camera from the tv station WESH. I guess I look like a terrorist???
Here's a link to the cam, sometime it's pointed UNI, sometimes at IOA, actually, after taking the pic, I think there are 2 cams, one pointed at each park, but I can't be sure, maybe one really is a security camera????
That's all for now, gotta get to bed, hopefully it's not raining in the morning, so we can head over to Epcot. I'll be back in a day or 2 with more!

Oh, and here's where we parked today!

Ok, Mike. Be careful! I got sick on vacation, tried to deny it, and then caused a tremendous scene when I just couldn't deny I was sick anymore. Don't push yourself too hard!

Hope you get to see BMG one of these days! Are you actually paying for tickets every night you've tried to go?

I never knew where that WESH camera was. We like to forward that link to co-workers and tell them we'll wave. :goodvibes

Mike,

Hope you are feeling better and am loving the live trippie!!

Have a great time and be sure to check in again!!

Hey!! We are those people from Delaware!!!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. We had a blast at the RIP tour on Friday!
