Headed for our first family vacay the last week in october. what is the weather like? i already know to pack ponchos just in case. will i need long sleeves/coats/pants? or is it still warm enough for shorts/tees? hoping we can make use of the pools and water park? coming from NC, by the way.

It's definitely still warm enough for tees and shorts, the pools, and water parks. Afternoon temps are typically in the mid-80's, though the humidity isn't as high as it is during the summer.

I've been checking the extended forecast on AccuWeather and for our trip starting on 10/21 the high every day (as of now) is 78 or 79. We are still (or only? OMG only!) 3.5 weeks away, so I'm assuming it may change a few times between now and then.

I just checked the temps myself on easywdw.com and average daily highs are 80s and average overnight lows are mid to high 60s. We are going the last week as well.

I've lived here for 14 years now, and it has always been at least mid 80's on Halloween. Ponchos are a good idea just in case. Have a great trip!
