So I will be taking my family for there first time Oct 4 thur 10. As I booked our vac the only resort that has rooms was camp wilderness cabins which I booked. Now should I be ready for summer crowds or is there something going on

Summer crowds, no. A combination of discounted rooms, Food & Wine, and MNSSHP will make for a moderate crowd level.

Also you're leaving as Columbus Day weekend starts, that weekend usually has high crowd levels.

There's a large IT convention at the Epcot resorts taking up rooms.

We are in GA and have our 4-night Fall Break during Columbus Day weekend.
