Looks like a fun time! Love the bride's shoes! May they have many, many, many happy years together!

PS Looks like I got a top!

Very nice pics Denise!!! Love the kilts! :)

Christine, you crack me up! I am going to have to figure out something shiny for your FE. :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing well! I'm getting really excited to get the list Kathy! Nothing much going on here right now, just waiting on the final warm up so we can start softball and working out outside and things.

Hope everyone has an awesome Wednesday!

Morning all,

Morgan the list is coming along very nicely. I still have a few people to hear back from soon. I spent all afternoon yesterday writing to people here asking for their information if they wanted to be on the list or do the FE.
I got several responses already.
Thanks to everyone for that!:yay:

I hope to hear back from everyone by the weekend so I can have the list out by the next weekend or even sooner.

If I missed anyone who wants to have their family on the cruisemates list or do the FE, PLEASE contact me. You can PM me or even e-mail me at sixtoedfrog@yahoo.com

If your not sure if i have you, feel free to just double check with me.

Anyone not sure what type of information to send me, go to page 227, post 3395 I think and it is explained there.

Has anyone read any TR's that have mentioned a good place for a meet?
We have always used the Promenade lounge in the past but now we dont have such a place, so I need a suggestion where to have our meet at?:confused3

I always feel so sorry for families that come to WDW over spring break (or summer vacation, and the worst time between Christmas and New Years) for their first time. It is so crowded, and while still a great time, you don't get the chance to do near as many things due to the crowds. I always fear that they think WDW and other parks are always that crowded. When I was a manager at WDW I would always suggest to parents to come for a long weekend in the off season when kids are typically in school...a much more enjoyable experience.

This year hasn't been too bad. Since Easter is so late this year, schools have really staggered spring break this year. The counties around us had different spring breaks too, staggering over a 3 week period. We actually braved the parks...Sea World and Universal/IOA this year. We didn't think it was too bad, but since we have annual passes, we weren't stressing over getting everything done in 1-2 days either. I have so many friends that homeschool, and they take their breaks when everyone else is in school...better vacation deals, less crowds.

I am the mom that will continue to take DD out for some vacation during the school year as long as I can get away with it. I am so thankful DD principal understands that our family works in the tourism industry and therefore need to vacation during the school year. DD can miss up to 20 days of school, per state laws, but we try not to take her out for more than a week. After all, she does get sick from time to time.

We can't wait to board the Disney Dream 7 months from today! We were at Universal/IOA this past weekend, and we have been talking about our Halloween costumes this year. Even DH and I will be dressing up. DD has the Rapunzel dress from Tangled from our recent DCL trip, but she may change her mind by the time we sail.

We love going at Christmas time but will never go at Easter time again. We have done it the past 3 years and it is just not fun at all. Everyone seems so much crankier than at christmas even though the crowds may be bigger at Christmas it sure seems worse at Easter.

Given how much we take our kids out of school I can't believe I'm the one who started the discussion about that topic -as if we were the rule following parents. :rotfl: It's only this particular cruise that doesn't work but it's more about taking advantage of days off when others aren't off (early Nov.) and them not falling on the days we were hoping to make this cruise work!

Don't go trying to join the bad parenting club jd99, that's set aside for us special bad parents:)

Kathy

I was checking out this site and they had some great photos of the Disney Dream at the bottom of the page taken by people (probably TA's) that went on the Dream:

Maybe the pics will help find a place for us all to meet!
I can't wait, 7 more months to go :)

I am confused, there is only 230 pages, where would 277 be?

Looking at the option of lounges online these two may be good.

687 or The District Lounge. They are open to all ages during the day.

Looks like that post is on page 227. Here it is, quoted:

WELCOME
Renee and family,
Nice to have more people along on this magical cruise.:goodvibes

Woogal (Shell) is making a cruise mates list for everyone here so we can get aquainted, find kids the same age as your own to make friends ahead of time and to sign up for the fish extender exchange.

Please send her a private message to her or me with your information so we can add your family to the list. Once its done, everyone on it will receive a copy and it will be update right up to cruise time.
The types of information people have shared are:

Posting name
Family photo
city and state your from
first names of everyone and ages of kids (so moms can find kids the age of theirs)
cabin number if you have it
dining time
how many cruises you've been on
Yes or no to participating in the FE exchange
any celebrations on board like birthdays or anniversaries.
e-mail address so Shell can sen dyou the list. It is too big to PM to people and we NEVER post it here for anyone ot read. Its kept private to just thos eon the list.

If anybody else still hasnt sent in their information please do so soon so Shell can finish the list and send out a copy to everyone.

Love that you pulled out your H2O! I actually just purchased more Sea Marine products recently...was having an "I miss the cruise" moments. They do offer some pretty good deals from time to time on their website.

DD and I watched Tangled last night. We saw it when on the Magic in Nov/Dec 2010...it brought me back to that cruise...wish we were on again right now. 7 months from today we will be!

I havent seen Tangled but maybe I will with my DS this wkend or something. I just added a disney countdown to my phone to excite me more it shows as a mickey mouse head with the number of days left in it. :)

Morning gang,

Thanks for catching that page error.:guilty:
Maybe I was thinking about posting that again on page 277 when we get there:lmao:

I have gone back and corrected my post for anyone else who might read it.
I have got a lot of repsonses so the list is coming along nicely. Just a few more to get back to me and then I will send out the first draft of it.
I know it will need to be updated as we go along with new crusiers joining us , but once the list is made its easy to add others to it.

When you get the list please look over your information for any errors I may of made. With so many numbers and names it can be very easy to make an error.
As I proved in my above post:rolleyes1

Thanks you everyone for responding to quickly to my e-mails and PM's. I really appreciate the help.

Kathy

Those are good possibilities.:thumbsup2
Sometimes the first day they use different areas for things like dining reservations or selling wine packages etc.. So we need to make sure nothing is going on there the first day.
Hopefully some one who has cruised already can help us with that.

While I was reading some WDW trip reports I read about the Garden Grove buffet in the Swan. I have never heard of it before but it got some really good reviews. Then I find out that you could get a $25 gift certificate for only $2 on restaurant.com:cool1::cool1:. So that's where we will be having dinner on Thursday night. Just thought I would let you guys know too.

Beautiful day here in Vegas...gonna be 86 today and 89 tomorrow:cloud9:

Ohh can you share how you got the countdown, I have an Iphone is it for that type of phone?

Trust me, I thought I was just having a "blonde moment" LOL Plus it had been a loooonggg day at work when I finally had a chance to sit down and catch up with the boards!

Still think the Outlook would be fine. Since it is at the top of the front stack (Deck 14), I don't think DCL is using it the first day for anything.
