Still think the Outlook would be fine. Since it is at the top of the front stack (Deck 14), I don't think DCL is using it the first day for anything.

How many people can it hold? How many seats are available?
We are a good size group and will grow even larger by cruise time. Our normal meets have 50+ people. I am sure this one will too.
If it could hold us all, it would be a good place. Very easy for everyone to find.

I can't find any writeup on the DCL site other than then deck plan. I would bet it could hold 50+ as it was fairly big.

Evening all:

Has anyone ever been to the secret deck 7 on most of the ships? I understand it's located at the back of the ship through a door on deck 7 and it's supposed to be a decent size area with chairs and a fair amount of room. Never seen it before so I have no idea if that would work. Plus, you'd have to have your drink or whatever with you when you arrived, there's no bar or service there.

Just a thought.

Where did you order it from? I have been looking for it on their site and it says they don't have an exact date yet.

The last post by Dave Marx one of the authors of PassPorter said they've had to move back the distribution date to some time in April. They had too much information from the Dream they wanted in it. I'm watching their site and Amazon so I can order it when it's finally released. Love those PassPorter books for Disney vacations!!!

Morning all! :) Less than 7 months to go now! We got travel trays for the kids to use in the car and some twistable colored pencils for the car ride down there this week. We are slowly getting things around that we need for the van. :thumbsup2 I think my BFF and I are going to be working on the FE gifts next week for everyone as well.

Kathy, is Shell not going on this cruise now, or are you just helping her out with the list? I've been bad about the forums since my laptop died and the desktop is so ancient and barely works.

Ahlam, totally have to see Tangled. My mom took the kids and I on opening day since we happened to be out of school that day and no other schools around here were and both of my kids LOVED:love: it! DH is waiting now for Cars 2 to come out. He and DS and my DF are going to make a boys day of it and they are going to go see it without the girls. I need to find out what is coming out around then that just the girls can go see. popcorn::

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!:goodvibes We are planning on going to some friends house for dinner tomorrow night and tonight is Mommy Night Out. I'm headed to watch my old work friends band play and I can't wait!

I'm going to try and be better about checking in here so Kathy doesn't whip me when she sees me on the ship. :scared1:

They cancel the cruise!!!!

jk, April 1st.

I do have some questions for those with experience. This will be our first 4 day cruise; we sailed once on a 3 day and had a blast. From what we learned on our 3 day, we do not want to miss any of the nightly shows or dinners.

My questions:
Are there 4 shows on the 4 night?
Are there 4 dinners?
I would love to take my wife to dinner at Remy. Does that mean that we miss one schedule dinner and show? What about the kids? Do they also miss a dinner and show?
How hard is it to get a reservation at Remy? I can only reserve after August 01, 2011.

Thanks for your patience on my basic questions.

Morgan,

Bill & Shell are still coming. :thumbsup2
She is just so busy at work and home this year she didn thave the time to put the list together like previous cruises. so I told her I would do it for her this time.

Good morning everyone,
we were 67 yesterday and sunny. Today is to be the same then back to cold and rain tomorrow.:sad2:

4 nights, 4 dinners.
I assume Remy's will work just like Palos does which means try to book aminute after midnight for the date you can book. Dont be discouraged if it says no reservations are left. This happens alot for on line bookings. However once on board they have a place you can go and get reservations or be put on a waiting list to get in. They hold a few reservations just for on board bookings and people do cancel or want to change dates all the time. The Welcome Aboard paper they give you at check in should tell yo when and where to go to do this.
You may miss the show depending on what time your reservation is.

If the kids are old enough they can go to the show on their own. They can also go to dinner without you, but tell the wait staff the night before. If your reservation is a different time than your dinner you can sit with the kids and have them eat, just tell the wait staff you have Remy ressies so your not eating.
Or you can feed the kids around the pool for burgers or pizza, ice cream for dessert. They can go to the kids clubs while your at Remys too if they dont want to go to the show without you.

I assume they are doing the same as the other ships, if so your kids can eat dinner with the kids club too but you must sign them up for it.

the last two night we are in the same restaurant. Night 3 is pirate menu and Night for is the standard rotation menu. If you plan Remy either of those night at least you will be able to see all three restaurants.

From what I have read Remy is empty on the 1st night so if you can't get it on night 3 or 4 maybe try for the first night

Hey everyone just want to know if there will be anyone sailing with kids around my sons age? He will be 20 months when we sail. :goodvibes

Sorry I have been MIA for the most part since getting off of the Magic last month! We had an incredible cruise!!! I had two funerals the week after we got home, and they were 1000 miles apart, so lots of time in the car!

I will get the info out for our family. I have a paper and a test due at the end of the month, and then I should have a little more time for stuff!

I thought that we were going to be a part of the bad parent club, but with so much craziness going on in our school system, we have decided to homeschool our oldest that starts K in the fall. I'll just work it in...and if we continue it will be easy to work in less crowded vacations!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Funny April Fool's Day joke.

I am probably the only cruiser, aside from my DH, that has no desire to dine at Remy. We are able to book on July 2nd, but I will be going after Palo brunch and dinner ressies. We might do it on a longer cruise, but even then, we can't justify the $150+wine cost for us. I am excited to see all of the new dining rooms after enjoying the Magic and Wonder so many times, this is all new and exciting! We will just stick with dining in the main restaurants and our free trip to Palo...Hopefully you will be able to grab ressies at Remy's. I have had many friends sail, and they have all been waitlisted to dine at Remy once onboard, and have all been called on the ship given the opportunity, but all declined. No one we personally know has dined their yet. Best of luck on Remy ressies.

Happy Saturday everyone! It's going to be a gorgeous day in central FL. 83 and sunny today. Such a nice break from all of the rain, thunderstorms, tornados all week. DD and I are hanging around the house for a bit. We will probably head to our local garden center and pick up some flowers and plants to put in our front yard. DH is working today at MK. It will be very busy at MK today as it's the weekend, and one of the nicest days we have had lately. Hopefully it's a nice day for everyone, no matter what you're doing today.

I think when I was working on the cruisemates list last week I think I saw 2 kids around that age, one was yours. Sorry I dont remember who had the other small child but when you get the list next week you will find him. Then you can make contact :goodvibes

Cool and rainy here today. Will be doing laundry and grocery shopping today. Exciting huh:rolleyes1

Have a great saturday everyone.

Hey Everyone Happy Weekend! The sun is shining here and I am full of energy I woke up at 530 which i never do on saturdays and got in two workouts before 10am. I got new shoes yesterday and they have me on a runners high LOL. Made homemade fruit smoothies and now i have declared it cleaning day or toss crap out of the house day which ever I am ready to take it on. Hope to see the family tomarrow and the weather stays like this. My inlaws have a 3wheeler motorcycle and so does my sister in laws and her bf has a regular 2wheeler and my fatherinlaw is taking his car and he invited us to go along for the ride. Now i just need to convince the hubby to tag along otherwise i just may go alone. well hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

Thanks.

You might consider trying to get Palos brunch on the sea day. Many like it better than the dinners. Kids can play in the club while you eat. If you feed the kids breakfast at the buffet you can work around what ever time you have brunch.:goodvibes
