Hope everyone enjoys the game tomorrow! We are crazy busy for another week with activities, then hopefully I can actually read this board and get to now everyone!

I am going to try to finish our FE this weekend so that it is one less thing to worry about in the next four weeks. We booked this cruise six months out and it seemed like it would never get here and now it almost is! I know the next one will seem to drag for a while, too!

We did a countdown chain for this one and it has been so fun getting from 60 to less than 30 now!

Hope everyone is able to stay warm today!

Stephanie, I am quite jealous that you get to go to WDW! It would be wonderful to do that (and maybe someday we can!).

Have fun on your cruise Amanda! I know about booking way out, we booked 18 months out for the Disney Dream in October 2011 and everyone was like "OH but thats not till next year..." Now everyone is so much more excited that it is only 9 months away! Still seems like forever to me :)

Just booked at CI and S as well with AAA rate :-) Thought it might be less stressful to get in the night before. Now I have some questions:
1. Anyone have a good Hertz code. Going to try to do one way drop off from MCO and will have to book a car to get back to the resorts after.
2. Aside from Disney transport what is the easiest rental agent to use from the port.

Thanks!

Good Sunday am everyone! Well after booking CS&I yesterday I've decided after looking at all the options that the least expensive and hassle free option is the DCL transport. I can then get a boarding group# at the airport terminal and god forbid there is bus breakdown or traffic they will hold the boat for us.
On the other end I don't have to spend hours in line for a rental car to take us back to Beach Club so time in the parks on that end is extended. The cost difference between using a shuttle service/car rental/limo service was so small as to make the inconvenience unjustifiable.
Also I don't have to spend extra $ for a night in a hotel as we have flights that leave early enough to land us at MCO by 10am so.....I guess we will miss the fun at the hotel the night before though!

Anyone know when a Silver Castaway Club member can book Palo or excursions? Do they even take Palo ressies before boarding? They didn't last time we cruised but I thought they might now.

Silver members can book all special activities at 90 days.

Hello All,

Super Bowl Sunday!!! Woohoo...time for some good football! Just hope it's a GREAT game and not a runaway for either team. :happytv:

Yesterday, we had a scrapbook party and it was very successful. One lady completed 12 pages and you should see them!!! Creative doesn't begin to describle this woman. Her experience showed as she's been cropping for over 10 years.

Then my DIL, who recently started scrapping first time ever, has being very artistic with all kinds of embellishments and imaginative designs. Wowser!!! :)

DD accomplished beautiful works of love on her album (celebrating her newborn).

Proudly for me..I finished 5 pages. :) I'm thrilled.

Speaking of SCRAPBOOKING, I had a notice via a PM about a couple modifications I'll need to make concerning some of the themes I posted. I'll again post our list with those changes. One of them: No Character Breakfast on this cruise (BUMMMED) so I renamed it Character Meet and Greet. And the other is a new theme, which I think is an AWESOME idea--Kid's Club(s). This theme will be highlighted in Blue. Thanks Stephanie!!!! :cool2:

If you would like to participate in the scrapbook exchange, there is plenty of time to be a part of it. And IF you've seen a theme you would like to do that I haven't listed, this list is not comprehensive--still many more choices out there. Just let me know so I can include it in the exchange. :thumbsup2

Below are the theme ideas. You'll aslo notice those that are highlighted in orange are what others have already chosen. Do not choose these to scrap. Thanks. :cool2:

1. Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral with ship before cruise
2. Embarkation/Through the Ears/Ship model
3. Sail Away
4. Character Meet
5. Halloween/Costume Party
6. Pirate Night

7. Castaway Cay
8. Fun at Sea
9. Bahamas/Nausau (Port-of-Call)
10. Disembarkation/See You Real Soon
11. Food/Menus
12. Pool Time
13. Deck Pictures/Random pictures of the boat
14. Cast Meet and Greet
15. Stateroom inside/door/magnets/fish extenders
16. Character Meet and Greet
17. Formal (semi-formal) Night
18. Adventures that might have been left out
19. Excursions
20. Shows/Theatre
21. The opening page of the cruise album
22.Kid's Club(s)

Once you’ve read the exchange information on page 205, please PM me, if you want to participate, with what I asked for, and please don’t forget to give me the name of the event/category.:rolleyes1

I'm totally looking forward to this part of the cruise. :cheer2::cheer2: It'll be so much fun to scrap a page (and recreate it for others) and then get in return different pages to help me finish the cruise scrapbook full of memories... And then also...the same for you. :flower3:

If you have any questions at the end of all the information I provided, please PM me and I'll be happy to help you. See you soon. princess:

Today is a great one for me! My boys are playing in the big game tonight. Go Pack Go! The MVP from today's game will be at Magic Kingdom tomorrow...I will be there in my green and gold cheering, as I am hoping it's a Packer player!

Jaime, you can let me know whenever. We're just now really getting the information out for everyone on the scrapbook exchange.
Sure will. About how many pages do you think we will need to make?

Trying to figure out the logistics for transport from the airport to port (or hotel). If we come in the night before and stay at CI/S and rent a car at MCO, is there a rental company close to the hotel for dropoff? Or would we have to keep the car and pay port fees for parking for the 5 days? Also when we arrive back is there options to rent a car to take back to Disney? Struggling with finding the least expensive option. There are 4 of us so it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to pay $280 for Disney transport but if it's really the least hassle and expense then I'll go for it. Also will the transport take us back to BCV or only the airport and then we'll have to use Magical express?
Renting a car is usually the cheapest option if you have 4 or more people in your group. It is a very easy process. I have many clients that pick up cars in Disney and drop them of at port. Picking your car up at port is also very easy. There are car rental lines...the bus comes and will bring you right to the agency. Very easy and quick.

Ok, here's my take on getting on the ship....I dont want to be the first on...there are not enough people aboard to clapp and welcome me aboard!! :banana:
:goodvibes:goodvibes

If you board around 1:00 will there still be time and opportunities for lunch and swimming before the sail away party?

Also, I finally figured out that we have Main Dining, but I don't know what that means as far as time. Also, I couldn't find my show time anywhere. If I have main dining will that automatically give me the 9:00 show? And will that interfere with other things that are going on (i.e. Pirate or Halloween party)? The more I know, the less I know. :scared1:

I found most people who have early dining have been assigned the 9:00 show. We usually have late dining and never found that we missed any of the special parties so I would think the 9:00 show would be fine.

:goodvibes:goodvibes Hi Everyone. Sorry I have been in and out lately. I am going to try to get on more. Just have been very busy with work.
All the snow here makes we want to wish I was going on this cruise sooner. Trying to make our plans for before our cruise...what are most people doing? Any recommendations? I am leaning towards maybe going to Discovery Cove. It is somewhere I always wanted to go but this is the first year my girls are old enough also I think the new expansion sounds really neat.:goodvibes:goodvibes

Discovery Cove sounds like fun. It is definitely on our list of future plans. The girls are still too young this time. We will just have an afternoon after our flight gets in on Saturday, so we are thinking of just heading to Cocoa Beach and letting the girls see the ocean for the first time.

Got reservations at the Marriott Residence Inn for the night before. I finally have the in-laws looking at some of what we will be doing in case anyone has strong opinions about excursions or our time in the parks afterwards.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We got out the toboggan and spent a couple hours sledding. Love it! This has been a great winter for outdoor activities. Before we know it we will be soaking up the rays in the Caribbean.

TTFN.

Count us in,Me Chris and DW Hazel this will be the last cruise of a B&B&B were from England as the name may suggest,i believe we've cruised with one or two of you guys before so it will be really nice to catch up for a chat and case, sorry can of Boddingtons finest.....:thumbsup2

I think it will only work if I go back from port to airport and I'm going back to the resorts. I don't want to take the extra time in the am to go back to the airport and get Magical Express.

Hi,

Rental cars will work great from the Port to Disney World too. I book them all the time for clients. There is a Dollar Rental Car and a Budget Rental Car in the downtown Disney hotels. They will bring you back to your resort after you drop the car or you can walk to Downtown Disney and get the bus from there. I have used Budget on our last trip. We took the bus over to the hotel from the parks and picked up our car the drove to port. It was simple and they didn't charge an extra fee for drop off at a different location.

Hope this helps.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend! We got more snow...yuck:scared1:

Just cancelled my November 3rd cruise but am so excited about this cruise!
Have a great day.

WELCOME !!!

Happy to have another family coming along. I love your posting name:goodvibes

I am Kathy and DH is Greg.
Gosh your coming along ways for a cruise. Hope your going to spend extra days in Florida to enjoy everything before heading back to the UK.

Many of us have cruised together before here, maybe 15 families? This is a great fun group.

Shell is making us a cruisemates list to keep track of everyone. The list will also ahve important info about a meet and FE group.
So Please PM woogal that your coming slong to tell her about your family so she can add you to the list. She will then e-mail the list to everyone on it.

Basically she needs to know your names, city and country your from, cabin # (for FE), if you want to do the FE exchange, dining time, ages of kids,e-mail address, photo, how many cruises you've been on.
Those kinds of things help us all to get aquainted.:grouphug:

Also if anyone in your group likes to do scrapbooking Terry is organizing a special get together for them, so watch for her posts to join in on that fun.
I think last page she has some info about it, or a few posts above your post.

Looking forward to chatting with you,
kathy

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post to state that my wife and I just booked this B2B (26th/30th) over the weekend after getting off the Maiden B2B. It was just so much fun, we had to do another B2B on the Dream and add Halloween to mix was too much fun to miss.

This will also be our 9th and 10th cruise so we will be Platinum before the Fantasy Maiden nest year.

We are booked into 5538, and are looking forward to the extended balcony (tho, I would have loved the round shower in Cat 8s & 4s).

Please add us to any FE (or SHE - Sea Horse extenders) lists and DIS meets. Not sure is any were mentioned and didn't have time to read all 212 pages in this tread. :rolleyes1

WELCOME !!!
