We are sailing with you on the Dream 10/30-11/3/2011. (Joined the thread a few pages back...but noticed more info was requested). Right now we have stateroom 9603. We booked on our 7 night western a few weeks back, as we wanted to get one of the sought after inside staterooms on the Dream. Based on the deck map, looks like we are midship with a sideways room?

My hubby is a manager at WDW, and we generally wait to book close to sailing, however, we priced everything out, and with the platinum onboard credit we received, and other onboard booking incentives, it made this one too good to pass up for us.

We are the Beal Family...
Peter (DH) 11th DCL cruise
Stephanie (me) 13th DCL cruise
Kayla (DD-age 7 at sailing) 8th DCL cruise

I've read some of the pages, but way too many for me to catch up on everything previous. Is there an FE group?

2010 has been a really tough year for our family. Today is my parent's 40th anniversary. They are celebrating together in heaven. My mom passed away in June from Ovarian Cancer, and my dad joined her in November, passing away from Lymphoma. We are heading to Epcot today to have lunch in their honor at the Biergarten in Germany. We miss them tremendously. They lived about 8 miles from us, and our DD has grown up with them in her life so much. We took 2 cruises this year for family time, and booked this one so we have something happy on the horizon. While we do miss them and feel the loss here, I am so happy to know that they are together. They never complained, and their faith was so inspiring. Celebrating them today!

Have a great Sunday and week everyone. 314 days until we sail...

Stephanie

Morning all,
Stephanie, great to have you posting again. Wish you would have gone to WDW last week when we were there, we could have said hello and met up for a few minutes some where. I didnt realize you were so close or I would have send you a PM or something.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My dad passed 30 years ago, way too young and my mom is in Hospice care right now. They think she is down to her last few days now. She has dimentia so she doesnt even know she is ill which is a blessing for her. So I understand your feeling of loss. I have been there and will soon be there again. You never stop mssing them but it does become more tolerable with time. My prayers are with you and your family.

I am hoping to get some cookie dough mixed up today for my holiday baking. I wont cook them until next week though.
My cold is a bit better today but Gregs is worse again. We just keep passing it around between the 3 of us.

Well I have some dough to get mixed up so I better go now,

back later,

Kathy

Hi Stephanie:
The holiday's always seem the hardest time with them no here...My mom is gone 14yrs (dec. 9th) So this time of year is always hard for me...Since my folks always had the holidays and we were always together..since her passing the family kinda does their own thing...its sad, I miss those times together...but my dad is still here and will be here with me for christmas day...He's 95 and he lives on his own...just hard of hearing and glacouma but otherwise healthy. So I am grateful that he is still with us.
Have a fun day celebrating your parents...their life should be celebrated what a great honor.

Gosh the boards are quiet this weekend??:confused3

Gee whiz, I guess people are shopping, baking and getting ready for next weekend. They need to get their priorities straight and post at least once :lmao:
Just kidding, I know this is the time most are having company and enjoying the season. My family is so far away we dont get together until Christmas day.
I did get some cookies mixed up but I want to do one more.
I cant get to the large bowl i need while Greg is sleeping so I have to wait a bit. He is sick so I dont want to wake him. He needs his rest.

I also got my macaroni salad half made for us ot have with dinner the next couple of days. Again I need a large bowl to mix it all together in so the rest will have to wait a bit.

So i will surf the net and watch Christmas with the Kranks while I want.

Kathy

Hello Everyone,

The Magic still looks good. The kids had a great time.

And I got a top. Woo hoo

Hi Bobby,

Glad to hear you had a good time. Was it still cold in Floida when you got back? We froze at WDW the last couple of weeks. We have been home for a few days but I just know it got warmer after we came back. GRRR!! I didnt watch the weather though, I was afarid it really did get warmer again.
The week before we went it was in the 80's, so I figured after we left it got warm again :lmao:

How were the changes at Castaway Cay?

Kathy

Morning all,

well its still dumping rain here and that is suppose to continue for as far as they can predict.:sad2: No white Christmas here just a wet one.

Hope everyone is having a good start to their week. Hope to have time to post a few more photos later today:goodvibes

The weather in Florida is still a bit chilly for my liking, but it is better than last week. Today is sunny and a high of 66, but lows still in the upper 30's/lower 40's. Mid 70's by midweek...67 and rain predicted for Christmas day.

We went to Epcot yesterday for lunch, and ended up leaving after a that. It was drizzly and very damp and cool. Happy the sun is shining here in Orlando today.

Sorry to hear your still in the cold there.

When we lived there we were very lucky that the few times it got cold it was over in a week. Love the winter there, hate the humdity in the summer though.;)

Have you tried the new Pizza place in Italy yet? We thought it was good but spendy for pizza. Glad we did it once.:thumbsup2

Still dumping rain here today.:guilty:

How were the changes at Castaway Cay?

Kathy

We went to Discovery Cove Friday, we woke up and it was 39 degrees. Woo Hoo. I love it chilly.

Castaway Cay looks great, Nana point is still there. I still think its too small for the Dreams crowd, but thats just me.

I was afraid CC would be too small even with improvements they made. I think they really need to improve part of the other side of the island for more people not just improve the same areas.

The family beach gets really crowded as it is, even with them extending it I am afraid it may be way too crowded now and loose its charm of the little island appeal. Hope i am wrong.

Hopefully if I am right they will decide to improve part of the other side too so people can stretch out in more space.

Kathy
