Things are cooling down here! The forecast is for highs in the 60's and the nights around freezing.

I've been pretty excited today. The group tour I've been putting together for our excursion to the Great Pyramids in Egypt got a huge boost today.
The Ministry of Tourism in Cairo today approved a private viewing of the Sound & Light show at the Great Pyramids along with a 5 star catered dinner, at the show, for just our group!!

80 days and we'll be on our way!

Thats AWESOME Greg !! Are Bob and Lisa on that excursion too??
You need to drop hints for them to come along on this cruise too!!!

We are not down to freezing yet, but we are in the low 40's now and then.

Just saw the sports news where Kelly has turned up the heat to 95 in the auditorium (coming out the vents at 120 degrees) for the team to practice in before playing Arizona. I get his idea but it usually takes a few weeks to really acclimate to the weather?? Maybe it will help.

Well heading out tomorrow morning to Colorado...have a 6am flight. pretty much finished packing...did some last minute cleaning around here...even the "bathroom" and I told Wally it better look like this when I get home Hey a girl can dream, cant she!!
Watching dancing with the stars elimanation show....hoping the david hasselhoff leaves.......I really dont care for him that much, plus I dont think he danced very good last nite.

Well will try to get on from time to time while I'm in colorado....it all depends when Miss Izzy takes her nap and gives me a few minutes to myself.

Hi Kathy,

Yeah Bob & Lisa are doing this excursion with us along with about 90 other people.....so far. We've arranged to have camel rides at the pyramids for everyone which should be really fun and make for great photos opportunities!
I've been having my kids learn to make Egyptian "moves" so we can "walk like an Egyptian" in front of the great pyramids while we video tape it. Then when I get home I'll edit it and add the music from the Bangles......should be really funny to watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVrNV_5LhNE

I sure hope it's a little cooler in Arizona this weekend. I can't imagine playing in 90+ degree heat!

Hi Christine, hope your weather cools down soon.


Today I am making Greg a birthday cake. It's tricky to do in a toaster oven but thats all I have to work with for now. Not sure what to make for his birthday dinner. May let him pick but not fix it until this weekend when he can relax and enjoy a nicer dinner more. But the cake has to be on the birthday. Thats the tradition!!!

So that is my day today.

woo hoo I'm offically booked on back 2 back cruises on the Dream. This will be my 5th and 6th time cruising DCL. I am super excited. Anyone else booked?

We leave for a cruise on the Wonder the end of the week. This will be our third time to cruise and we love it. We will go again in 2012 and I am thinking it will be on the Dream. Can't wait.

No rain down my way in Oregon, all the rain is north of me, guess that means you have my rain.
Of course your area is known for getting lots of rain. Me too and i dont like it at all, but mother nature never listens to me.

Hi Kathy!!! I hope the weather is not heading down but up to Canada ))) I've heard it will be nice during the weekend though... we'll see!

Kathy, those pictures of your camping are just gorgeous! Where in OR is that? If you like camping and you have time next summer you should try driving up to the San Juans here.. i went to Orcas island last summer and it was one of the best camping sites i have ever been... so beautiful. It's called Mouran State Park.... it's worth checking... well the San Juans is worth checking even if you are not camping....

Guys i have a non DCL related question - we are going to WDW on the first week of december and my mil will be with us. She has a very hard time walking... we are going to rent a scooter for her. I was wondering how will she manage to go in the lines with the scooter or how does that work?

I'm soooo excited to go to WDW again!!!! It will be our first trip as DVC members... YAY!!!

She wont have any problem at all, My FIL had an electric scooter he used and EVERY attraction had some kind of handicap entrance that you'll be directed to. Your entire family will enter there together.
Sometimes the first or last row is reserved for people in scooters and family members. We loved it because we never had to wait in long lines when grandpa was along we always got to use the handicap entrance. There are usually signs too.

The only place we had a problem was getting out of the country bears jamboree. It had a sharp turn for the scooter to go and we had to actually lift it around because he couldnt turn it that sharp. But it was ok and he only had to stand for 10 seconds.


Yes i know you have some beautiful country up there. Maybe soemday we can explore it. There is just so much to see all over this beautiful country its hard to choose where to go.
