the weekend is almost here


Jeff, glad your all back safely and I am really anxious to read your report, so is DH. He has been looking at the photos on facebook and so have i.
So I will allow 2 days of rest, then you need to get started on that report even if you just add to it each day for a week or so to complete it.

Hi Jaime,
we are now in the big town of Oakland Oregon. The town is a gas station/store. There are NO apartments or housing developments, just farms, cows, sheep and a few llamas and us. I am actually in a really nice RV park near the freeway so I get to meet all kinds of nice people who are traveling through Oregon from all across the U.S.
We have all our family here in Oregon but over 100 miles away from us, so we don't see them as often as we would like to. I have #5 grandbaby since we last chatted, its a girl. MaryAnn.


Cool morning here again, heading for upper 70's the next few days and cooler and cloudy on the weekend. At first I didnt like the sounds of the clouds but after hearing Christines forecast i am tickeld pink at mine!!

No plans for the weekend here, next weekend we will go the state fair and visit my mom.

Annyone here do a b2b before? Do you have to pack up and get of the ship then wait until noon to get off again? Or is it simlar to St. Thomas where you just meet with a customs agent onboard?

We have never done it before but talked to some people who did a back to back to back (they were on the ship for nearly 30 days) in Europe as they did all the Northern Med, the Dover to Barcelona repositioning and the Southern Med with us. They said they basically got locked into Sessions for a couple of hours between sailings. As long as you book the same room - we did - you don't have to pack up in between.

Yes, your pictures have been amazing.

From what I have read on these boards for a B2B you all meet in a specified location and they walk you off the ship to check back in and then get right back on. Like Jeff said as long as you have the same room you could leave all your stuff in it but you won't be able to get to your room until 1pm. Don't know if it will be any different on the Dream since I think there will be a lot more of us doing b2b.

To me it will be like an sea day we'll have the ship to ourselves for a while and the pool will be empty.

Howdy Nana's!

What a fun, yet exhausting day!

Chayce and I drove up near Yellowstone this morning about 8am to float the river and fish. We both caught a couple of nice sized trout, so it was a successful trip.

While floating the river we rounded a corner and found a Moose in the water along side the shore. Well, he wasn't to happy to see us in his territory so he charged us. We rowed towards the opposite bank where the water was deeper. Once the Moose discovered that the water was over his head he decided it wasn't such a good idea to come after us and he turned around and headed back to his side of the bank.

I always carry pepper spray in case we run into bears, but I never thought I'd need it for a Moose?

I'm exhausted and going to bed. Have a good night.

You can do an Alaskan cruise the next year. BUT you wont have a bunch of Bananaheads cruising together again for who knows how long
Its a No brainer, you know you want to see us all again and the kids want to see old friends too

Morning all,

cloudy cool morning today,suppose to only get to the mid 70's which will be a nice change.
I need to get a few groceries today but thats all the excitement for this weekend, which is ok with me. Nice to have a relaxing weekend now and then too.

Yeah, Moose are nothing to mess with, but generally they only charge if they perceive you as a threat. You never want to get around a Moose with her calf or around the males during mating season.
This was a huge male with a full rack...it isn't mating season and we weren't doing anything to appear aggressive, so I'm a little stumped as to why he charged? My only conclusion is that the reason he was standing in the water was because he was hot and trying to cool down.....I think the heat got to him? It was 95 degree yesterday.
