Sorry Kathy - I've been missing in action but I've been trying hard to keep up with work while getting some things ready for the vacation. Christine close your eyes now. I haven't packed anything yet and we leave on Thursday! Girls have their stuff pretty organized but I haven't even opened the closet yet. Kinda hoping it magically all just lands in suitcase and I wake up in Barcelona. Hate to wish time away but I hate hate hate the day or so before the trip when we are hustling to get everything ready and the stress levels are topping out.

If I remember to take my camera transfer cords I'll post some photos to FB when I'm in Europe. Otherwise, I'll put some on here when we return.

After all your trips I would think you would have a set of suitcases left packed for trips.



Greg, not sure if they have a weight limit for Segways? Taller people do weigh more so that might be more of a problem rather than your being to tall to balance. maybe I will look up the excursion on line. I had thought about booking it to surprize greg on our trip in December. We have Mickeys Chrsitmas party tickets already for the 5th.
I am so clumsy that I may have aproblem. I know it's hard to believe that someone as perfect as me could have a fault but I am a bit clumsy once in awhile

Christine, are the Segways very hard to drive? I've always wanted to try it, but I've been worried that because I'm so tall it wouldn't be able to keep me upright?

I don't think height would be a problem. It's amazing how they move with your body. There is a light that let's you know if you are properly balanced and it won't go it you're not.


Kathy - do it, Greg would love it. Especially since you get to see Epcot with all the Christmas decorations.

I will post soon. I had to take down my PC to shed rid of my old computer desk, i am waiting on my new desk to come in. It is suppose to be here tomorrow. If i can get it put together tomorrow night, i will post some thursday before i head off to work.

Morning all,

cool and cloudy again this morning, even a heavy drizzle out there but it is suppose to be in the 80's again. It's nice to be able to open windows all night and have it cool enough to sleep good.


Christine I need to get a photo of my DD's foot. Her toes are fluorescent colors and on her right foot she has a tattoo of a cute Banana with bird wings and on the side of the nana it says Bananabird

Bananabird is the nickname she always called her DD and she still does. Now she is going to get a different tattoo on the other foot that will represent her son. It will have to do with a tuba but dont know the meaning of it yet.


Not much else happening here right now. I will look for more photos later today.

Ok, what is the use of telling me the delivery date for my desk is today 8-5 and they call at 130 (while i am at work) and say they need to set up a delivery time. I was hoping for today so i can put it together tonight. I go in late to work tomorrow so i could stay up and put it together. Now i will have to wait and put it together Saturday night...UGH!

Cool again this morning but again heading to 85. So glad we dont have the extreme heat and humidity some places are having. Last year at this time we were over 100 for several days, this year we have a break. Oregon is usually cooler.


I guess I am finally getting a bit older. My knuckles are swollen and hurt. I cant get my rings off either. Arthritis has arrived. My knees also hurt and are stiff. I didnt expect this in warm weather and only being 29, it did surprize me. Now i need to walk extra and keep moving those joints.
Next winter should really be fun

I will try to come back this afternoon with more vacation photos.
I hope others will do the same.

Delivery company just called, just my luck, it will get here at the time i have to be at work. I was able to talk DH into staying up till they get here!!!

All this talk of 85 degree weather gives me the chills. We were at 101 yesterday with heat index of 113. We are already at 86 with heat index of 96! BRING ON THE FALL WEATHER!!

The weekend is almost here

Stephieann, that desk better work great after all the trouble getting it to your house. Now to assemble it We did that before and Greg swore NEVER again When we moved we even left the computer desk there. He said if he took it apart he would of ripped it into pieces since it wouldnt fit out the door, so it stayed for the new owners to deal with.


I am soooooo glad the weekend is almost here.
Our weather is cooling to mid 70's over the weekend so it will be perfect for going to the festival called Homer Davenport days in Silverton. Plus the dogs go to the sitter for the 2nd time. Hope it goes well again. i need for them to get comfortable there and like going. They just need to get use to several other dogs running around. That stresses them because they arnt use to it.

Gregs mom who lives in Silverton got a new computer and my son got it up and running but Greg needs to go and put favorties on it for her and create shortcuts to some of her favorite sites. She doesnt know how to do all of that kinds of stuff. So after we walk around the festival we will go there to visit and help her before going to pick up the dogs and come home.

Plus right after leaving the dogs we will stop and see my mom too. Saturday will be a busy day for sure.

I get to babysit this weekend. DH has to work the whole weekend and this is the weekend that the great birthday season for us kicks off. Worst part about DH working is that he's on nights also so we can't go out and do anything after work and he is sleeping all day long. BUT, hopefully we will be able to go out and do something next week some time.

The planning for me is in full swing, I have 42 days until Feast of the Hunters' Moon set up starts (which I am in charge of), 51 days until we go camping down there, and 56 days until the event. I'm starting to get really excited since DH is taking almost a month off for it. Kids are already asking if it's time to get packed to go down there, I love that they love it as much as I do! I will try really hard this year to take pictures of everything down there, as long as it's not raining again this year.

DD starts school in a little less than 2 weeks!!! She's getting excited for that cause she knows right after school starts, it's her birthday. Then DS's while we are camping at the Feast and he's getting excited for that also.

Almost spilled the beans to MIL while we were there the other day, she still has NO clue we are taking her on a cruise. She's been having a really rough time at work though and she was just so down the other day, it took all I had not to tell her about it!
