Hi Denise,

have fun with Izzy.:goodvibes
Hope her ears are better soon. Seems like some kids just get ear infections for no apparent reason?

Suppose to be our hottest day of the week today then cooling down to the 70's for several days. Sounds good to me.

Pretty quiet around here lately, we need to get Bill and Shell to post more.

Guess i need to threaten them with my whip!!!:scared1:

Kathy

We will be sailing on this cruise as well, it will be our first DCL cruise! We are looking forward to this cruise especially b/c my fiance and I are getting married on Castaway Cay! So looking forward to spending time with family and friends for the week :)

Lisa

Welcome Lisa and family!!!!WOW your first crusie and getting married on the same trip. That will be an awesome trip!!
Castaway Cay is beautiful and I have seen a few weddings there from a distance over looking the water.

I am Kathy and hubby is Greg, this will be #21 Disney cruise and 1 Carnival cruise for us. If you have any questions please ask. Many of us here are repeat cruisers and have cruised together before. So between all of us we can probably answer any questions you might have.
Accept the ship will be new to us too.;) We know CC and I am very familiar with Nassau.

We will all learn about the Dream together.:banana:

We are going to have a meet the first day so we can all meet. We will have a cruise mates list for everyone soon too. Its so much easier to get aquainted that way. Later I will tell you how to get on the list and to get one.

Hope you will post often so we can get aquainted,

Kathy

Morning everyone,

gosh where is everyone today?
I know, you all out having fun while i am sitting here with the dogs.:lmao:

Anybody have plans for the weekend?
Something fun?

I am taking the pups for their temperment evaluation at the sitters house. If all goes well then we will finally get to start going out to movies and stuff again. Lots of fairs this time of the year that I would love to see.
I do have one more sitter if this doesnt work out. Actualy I wouldnt mind 2 sitters because one is close to my mom, the other closer to us. Wish me luck.:thumbsup2

Going to be mid 80's today then down to the mid 70's for as far as they can predict.

Sounds good t me.
Going to spend 3 days at the beach next month, but for now no special plans.

So you guys have to go and have fun and share with me.

well off to do the breakfast dishes, so exciting huh?

Kathy

I am so ready to get this done so i can be online without guilt. If i am online now without doing school work i feel guilty.. LOL

see you guys more in a few weeks.

Hi Stephieann,
glad to hear school is almost over for you.

Morning all,
had a busy saturday. I didnt get home until late last night. I am still tired today but I still have all the usual laundry and dishes to do. I think I will make a potato salad today too. I have an excess of eggs that need to be used and thats a good way to use them.

What did everyone do this weekend?

Hi Kathy! :wave2:

Looks like things have kinda slowed down over here?! :scared:

The hot temperatures finally found us and we've been in the mid 90's for the past couple of days. The kids have been having fun at the lake trying to stay cool.

Janel and I have been looking at homes in the Portland and Seattle areas, so maybe we'll be neighbors next year? :rolleyes1

Have a great day.

Neighbors??:scared1::scared1::scared1:
Now I'll have nightmares all night :lmao::lmao:

Dont like either of those cities unless you go to outlying areas. Scary gangs and violence!!!
I think Portland suburbs are better than Seattle.
If you like smaller towns, Milwaukie is nice, its just on the border of south Portland.
I grew up in the Portland vicinity and Greg grew up in Portland. So I know the area.
West Morlan is a great area, but a bit pricy , of course the neighborhood is nicer too. If you want property again look towards areas like Estacada or Molalla. Lots of acerage there at good prices right now. Lots of local hospital in all these areas for Janel.

Even though Portland get lots of rain, Seattle gets more. Its nasty there, worse than here for weather. I have also lived in Washington.

Hope you find a place that will work for you guys, no matter where it is. You can get some great deals right now. People are taking much less than the asking price in many cases, rather than loose the house and go through foreclosure.

Glad you dropped by, It had been dead around here lately.
Denise has Izzy so she is busy, Morgan is busy helping at a camp cleaning up, Christine is camping, Jeff is probably enjoying his pool:woohoo:

Let me know if you decide to move out our way,
I need time to make plans where to hide at;)

Hi Kathy,

Yeah, we looked at homes in the Milwaukie area, mainly down on Lake Oswego. In Washington we're looking in the Bellevue area. Janel and I have just been kicking the idea around for a while....nothing serious yet. I don't know how many more Idaho winters I can tolerate, but then I don't like it really hot either.

Lake Oswego is a very nice area.
Here we rarely get snow and when we do it is only for a day or two. Mostly its the rain, tons of rain but Washington is far worse for rain than we are.

Greg cant take the cold anymore. It makes him hurt really bad. (arthritis) You know how that goes. You should fly out and take a look around. Rent a car and just explore different areas.

Heat, well we usually get 2 weeks of HOT weather each summer. In the upper 90's. So far we have had 5 days that hit 90 or above and its a little more than half way through July. Suppose to be 80's all week with a good breeze which cools it down.
Also the beach is close to this side of Oregon, if it gets hot, head for the coast, its NEVER hot there!!!

Well have fun thinking. Its a big decision.
Time for dishes,

Kathy

Just thought I would pop in and say Hey. :)

Class reunion was crazy but fun. Weather killed the power just after people finished eating so we sat in the dark for about 3 hours before we all decided to come to the bar run by one of our classmates here in town. We had a great time, but not many showed up from the class. Our float trip was canceled due to weather and I was informed I am in charge of the 15 year reunion.:scared1: (Yes, we are going to do a 15 year one since this 10 year one was a total bomb and not many came.)

Kathy, no news about camp yet. I guess no news is good news???? Hoping to get the call to go up there this week though.

Anywho, hope everyone has a great week. :goodvibes

Happy monday everyone,

Morgan, many people dont do reunions until 15 or 20 years I think. Thats the way my reunions have gone. I only went to one, because I didnt live close enough to come, but friends went each time and they said the more years, the more that came.
I think people want to see if that snobby cheer leader finally got fat or the stuck up Jock finally lost his wavy hair :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I know the best thing about my reunion was many of the snobs had finally grown up and were nice people. I was happy about that. It was interesting to see what kinds of jobs they had.

It was a surprize to see how old everyone looked, especially since I still looked 17:rolleyes1

We are cloudy today but will soon heat up. So I am enjoying the cool air for a bit.

Hope everyone is off to a good week,

Kathy

I'm back:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Had a great vacation but am glad to get back to the nice dry heat. We have been here just too long to live with humidity. I will take 112 any day over 87% humidity.

:banana::banana::banana:

Hi all
Well we are getting close to our next sailing and starting to panic a bit about packing, excursions and everything in between. We had 2 excursions canceled on us (Tunisia and Corsica) and though we think we will probably just hit the beach in Corsica we don't want to go on our own in Tunis. Now investigating a museum visit where kids get to make their own mosaics. All I know is that I want to ride a camel and we get the chance to do that at the port.

Dreading the long flight since I can never sleep on planes. I really want to be able to hit the ground walking, if not running, when we get to Barcelona and I don't want to sleep my mornings away on the ship. So I am going to do my best to force myself into a late to bed, early to rise mode. Kids are excited beyond belief. Emily woke up today and before she even opened her eyes, held up six fingers -- only 16 more days...... :lmao:

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Christine, nice to hear you had a good time. I agree about humidity. That was the only thing I hated about living in Florida.

Denise, You will be ready for a vacation after playing with Izzy for a few days.;) They have so much energy at that age. Have fun at the water park.

Jeff, sorry to hear you had 2 excursions cancelled. No much time left to decide on something new.
You make sure someone take syour picture on the camel. I have to see that one!!!

I have a photo of Greg on a camel with the kids years ago, Its a real conversation starter.:lmao:
Getting video of people walking after they get off is better yet:rolleyes1
I was busy with the baby and didnt get to ride. Maybe next time??

Hey how about giving us a first name to call you?

My firend renewed her vows on a disney cruise and said it was better than when she got married the first time:love: I love their wedding cakes. I have seen 3 different ones so far on Galley tours on the ship and in photos of friends cakes.

Are they making your cake too? If so , how are you going to have it decorated? Or have you decided yet? Lots of exciting decisions to make.:yay:
