Good Luck, there's nothing better than when your Wii Fit no longer tells you you're obsese:thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes Although I'm not doing so great with it. Now to top it off, I'm getting the nasty cold my kids have had for 2 weeks... I think I'm going to try and get lots of sleep tonight and work out in the morning. :thumbsup2

Morning:

Happy Fathers Day to all the dad's on here.....

Heading to graduation party today then I have one more after this one and I think I'm done for this year.

:banana::banana::banana:

Hope everyone had a great fathers day! Just giving a little boost!

Ok, been looking at investing in a waterproof digital camera. Does anyone have one or know someone that has one. What is a good one to get?

I own or have owned just about every waterproof digital camera they make.....the Olympus 1030sw and 8010 model.......the Panasonic ts1 and ts2....The Canon Powershot D10 and the Sony TX5.

All of them have been good cameras and take good pictures. I say "good" because none of them really compare to the picture quality you get from a more expensive DSLR like the Nikon D90, but for what they're designed to do they do very well. On a rating scale I would rate them like this.

1. Panasonic TS2
2. Olympus Stylus 8010
3. Canon D10
4. Panasonic TS1
5. Olympus 1030SW
6. Sony TX5

The TS2 takes great pictures and is waterproof down to 33 feet, so if you scuba dive like I do it's wonderful and it shoots high definition 720p video. The Olympus 8010 is also waterproof to 33 feet and is a great camera and does 720p video, but the video on the TS2 just seems to me a little better...the 8010 is extremely tough and can take a lot of abuse.....just don't take it diving more then 33 feet, mine imploded at 60 feet down while scuba diving in Grand Cayman! :rotfl2:

The D10, TS1 and 1030SW are a toss up, however, the D10 does take a little better photo then the others.

The Sony TX5 is a nice camera. I have the non-waterproof TX7 also which is amazing. If they could make the TX7 waterproof it would be my #1 choice, but the TX5 is Sony's first attempt at waterproof cameras and they just aren't there yet.

These are a little more than what i want to pay for a starter camera. Do you know of any a little lower that might be a decent quality type photo. I would just like something that makes better photos than the stupid disposable ones! OH yea...i don't scuba..just snorkel!!

I just bought a waterproof housing for my camera. It's big and bulky but cheaper than buying a whole new camera. It works great and at least you know the type of quality pic you will get.

Ummm.....wonder if they make one for mine.

I would be scared i would not do something right and it not protect my camera ......what are the chances of water getting in the cases?

Any upgrade from a disposable waterproof is going to be digital and they aren't cheap. If you could find a digital waterproof camera for under $150 it's a steal, because most will set you back at least $250-$300!

If you only snorkel with yours Christine had a great idea. Just get a waterproof case for your camera. I bought a special camera bag for my TX7 that was very inexpensive (about $40) and really isn't anything more then a clear industrial strength ziplock back, but it says its waterproof down to 80 feet. I haven't used mine yet, so I can't say how well it works. :confused3

Good luck in your search. :thumbsup2

i found this one that i was looking at and got my search started!

That is something similar to what I have. I always test mine before I leave. I fill my sink up and put the case in the water empty and leave it there for a few hours to make sure there are no leaks. It comes with waterproof seals that have to be greased up the work, very easy to do.

 Morning Everyone

:wave:Morning!

Hope everyone has a great day today! I'm going to attempt to stay dry today. We've had over 4.5 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. :scared1: Roads are closing, towns on the creeks are evacuating, it's not fun. I'm quite sick of the rain and we are going to get hit again in an hour or two with more torrential downpours. Supposed to get hit again after 7 tonight too. :scared: So much for DD's swim lessons and both kids going to VBS tonight.

:scared: Ekkk, stay dry and safe.

You should move to Vegas, it hasn't rained here since April.

Thanks! We are pretty dry and safe here at the house. Our basement has gotten a lot of use the last few days but we really haven't needed to go down there.

That is a town about 5 min from my house. We came through there last night and the water was almost off the highway, but if we get hit again today like they say we are going to, it will be under water again. We can still manage to get around where we need to go though. :goodvibes

Got a busy day today with swim lessons, bible school, chiropractor and a board meeting for the Feast of the Hunters' Moon. :thumbsup2 Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!:goodvibes

just popping in to say hi!!!

Is it 2011 yet?

I wish, although there is less than a year and a half till we cruise.

I found something better than my 5 second vacation photos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ7J8edOw8E&feature=channel

This is the first in a series of videos that are amazing. I swear I can smell the hallways and the sea air. Warning: it shows every detail of the cruise so if you want to be a little surprised don't watch it.

Thanks for finding these Christine. I started watching in prep for our August cruise. These are amazing.
