I'm Teri :thumbsup2

and yay! glad to hear there will be some girls my daughter's age there! She's very excited the trip but we have to keep telling her it's not this Halloween but next Halloween. So long away! We will be going to WDW this July, my daughter and husband's first trip there (my 4th). We did DL last year (just for a day. We were in San Diego visiting friends).

We just booked and paid our deposit on this cruise! Cannot wait! It will be me, my husband, and our daughter (who will be 5 then).

Welcome madtown mama & family

My name is Denise traveling with Wally and a possibility of our grandaughter who at the time of cruising will be 2.5 yrs. This is my 3rd Disney cruise and looking forward to going.....

Well I caught some bug and have been sick all day. Vomitting last night and achy all day today with no energy. I ended up taking 2 naps today and am starting to feel some better....Hopefully this will be gone by tomorrow. I ruined our plans for tonite...we were going out to dinner for Izzy's birthday, but we just ordered in dinner instead. Wally is leaving tomorrow morning and heading back home...I stay till sunday.
Nothing else is going on

later

Howdy Teri,
great to know your name.:goodvibes

Denise,
thats terrible. Hope your all better soon.

Sarah,

they have a large book full of all kinds of songs for Karoake.
They have an adult one late at night and then usually a family one during the day in the family club. I hope the Dream still will have that. The family one has lots of Disney songs for sure. The kids love to sing them.([parents too)

Me I sit back and applaude everyone. If I sang they would set off the alarms and Abandon ship:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So with this being a 4 night cruise will there still be a formal or at least a semi formal night?

Yes, there will be one formal night but usually on these short cruises they aren't as formal as a seven night one. More cocktail dresses and suits.

How about a Halloween party?

From what I have read, kinda. They do have trick or treating for the kids thoughout the ship but some people say it's just OK and could be more. So it's something a little extra but maybe not something to get all that excited about.

Morning all,

I too have read halloween on the ship isnt a big deal, how ever many dis groups have done a special trick or treat for the kids in their group.

I think its a great idea.
They ask for volunteer people from the group who wouldnt mind giving out candy from the cabin for one hours time on halloween. Usually before the dinner times start so theres not alot going on.
The kids parents have a list of those volunteers cabin numbers and help the younger kids to get there, older ones can probably figure it out. They trick or treat at ONLY those cabins.
Make sure it is only for that hours time so the people wont be staying in the cabin past that time.
This has been very sucessful for parents and kids alike.
If we go on this cruise I would be happy to give out candy for an hour one evening. It would be so easy because we would know ahead of time how many are coming and when.

Who ever is in charge must remind everyone that afternoon so the people dont forget to go back to their cabins too.:thumbsup2

Thats a great idea, especially since most of us are in the rooms around dinner time getting ready.

I can't wait for an unlimited amount of these:

I actually emailed them a couple days ago about halloween on the ship and this was their response
Thank you for your interest in a Disney Cruise Line vacation!

I would be happy to assist with information regarding Halloween on the
ship.

Halloween activities are usually only on the cruises that actually sail
on Halloween. All Guests are invited to wear their best Halloween
costumes; however, we ask that you choose costumes which are not
obstructive or offensive. To avoid any disappointment or delay in your
boarding process, we ask that when considering costume options you
refrain from bringing toys or props that resemble guns, knives or other
related implements, as these items will not be permitted onboard.

Featured events include family trick-or-treating, as well as themed
parties for the children and for the teens. For adults, we offer a
ghoulishly fun Halloween party and costume contest. Prizes are awarded
based on the following categories:

Funniest
Best Group
Most Spooky
Most Original
Most Disney

Please check your Personal Navigator once onboard for other events,
times, and locations.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical Day!

Or family is defiantly going to bring our Halloween costumes (already have some ideas brewing around, but of course it really depends on what my daughter decides what she will want to be next year).

:thumbsup2Wow, thanks

I love halloween but not dressing up. People ususally go all out on pirate night, I can't imagine what they will do for Halloween, should be interesting.

If the pirate party is still on board I bet a lot of people wear their pirate stuff on Halloween.

The pirate party has beena round along time now. So I am expecting them to change to a new party soon. Maybe on the new ships?

Kathy

I love costume parties! We will have to start working on our costumes. Pirates are okay, but I wouldn't mind something different. I hope there is still a semi-formal night too.

Unlimited ice cream is something I didn't know about either. :cool1: Love those Mickeys on a Stick.

evening all:

I'm feeling so much better today......only now Izzy is running a low-grade temp.....
Wally left back to chicago early this morning. He's home and Jack was happy to see him. Altho he said jack seemed a little mad at him...:rotfl:

Nothing else is really going on here. Just a quiet day around here.....

Oh here is a little something interesting....Heather has a mama fox and babies nesting in her yard....I guess Louie got bit by mama once already....(he's fine..she took louie to the vet and no problem as he was current with his rabies shot) but this morning...mama and baby were out of their den..I scared mama away and she left baby in the den by itself.....I did get a picture before mama left....kinda interesting....Heather of course dosnt like it....but I'm thinking once the baby is weened mom and baby will most lilkely leave.

have a good one..

Yes in all the restaurants you can get the Mickey bars at meal time. As many as you can eat.
The rest of the time there is free soft serve ice cream with toppings, cones or bowls. Some make floats out of it with the pop at the drink station.

Not sure where it will be located on the new ship. Just look for a bunch of kids with giant ice cream cones near the pools and you'll find it;)

Morning all,

well my internet is still down, (4 days now) and my temp service ends in a few minutes so wont be posting for a bit until they fix the old service.
So I am saying hello for maybe the next few days all this morning.:goodvibes

Have a good weekend if I dont get to check in for a few days.

Kathy

No posts but mine yesterday :scared:

Thats not good nanaheads.

Where is everyone??

Who has plans for the weekend?
My only plan is to get my Costco card. Greg got his but I wasnt there so now I need to show my photo ID to get mine. Sounds exciting huh?:lmao:

Hope someone else drops by today.

I bought a different internet plan for 30 days so I would have service until these knuckleheads get their act together.;)

Dreaming of cruising today :cloud9:

Kathy

Hi Kathy!

I don't want to leave you hanging here by yourself.

Glad to hear you've got internet again.

Not much going on here. I rented out 3 weeks at DVC to pay for our Med. cruise, so I'll be faxing contracts and others documents to our renters this weekend...I know, to exciting!

It's snowing here again. I can't believe it was 84 degree here last week and I was contemplating turning on the A/C! :sad2:

Catch ya later!
