Sounds like a lot of fun! :woohoo:

You'll have to let us know how the kids like Rome. We're planning on doing a "Highlight" tour also.

We actually decided to do all disney excursions for two main reasons. First we have never been to Europe before as a family - Mina is the only one who has done this kind of traveling and it was to Greece on a couple of occasions to visit family. So being unfamiliar and wanting to make sure we took the best advantage of the opportunity, we picked the excursions in Italy that were focused around kids in some way. We had considered hiring private cars but after talking it over, decided doing these kind of group excursions would be better - having the kids on a bus or van with other families would be a more "interesting" time than just the four of us in a car. Some of the excursions at first seemed a bit pricey but when I compared them with hiring a private car and paying the entry fees, etc. for the sites we wanted to see, the difference in price was relatively small. Before we booked the excursions I actually did some budget planning and thought this was all going to cost a lot more than it did so now I'm feeling like we are getting a deal!

FYI Greg, our Rome tour includes St. Peter's Basilica, the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, a puppet show for the kids (while the adults shop, sightsee or drink wine!), a 3 course lunch and more.

I agree. A bus tour with others kids their age will probably be more enjoyable.

I've been looking at the "Hop on/Hop off" bus tour in Rome. It looks like they have a kid's club on the bus that caters to kids under 12 to help keep them entertained and involved. The tickets are super cheap! I think they said a family ticket for 2 adults and 3 kids was only $70. Kids under 4 go free so that ticket would work great for us!

I wish we were stopping in Tunisia that looks like an interesting stop. We're very excited about visiting Alexandria/Cairo and the pyramids though. We've got tickets to go inside the Great Pyramid and to take camel rides on the Giza plateau in front of them, so I feel a Kodak moment will be coming our way. :-)

evening all......

having a great time with Izzy....she makes the funniest faces....and has a really good pouty face trying to capture that on the camera but she will always stop making the face when the camara comes out....the weather is pretty good here....alto woke up to snow this morning.....but it warmed up really well.....other than that, just been hanging around the house playing with the baby.

have a good one

Morning all,

I have great photos of Greg and 2 of our kids when they were younger on a camel. They are great:goodvibes They were not taken over seas but down on the coast they had camel rides through the sand dunes that Oregon is famous for. AWESOME Photos!!!

I still have 28 days paid for with that company. But for every day I cant use them I will get another day added on or a refund or they will get an earful!!!:rolleyes1

Nope never cruised with Disney before, this will be our first time on a cruise ever! (well I did take the Tallink ferry from Sweden to Finland and back to Sweden when I visiting one summer... but well that just doesn't count now does it).
