Hi Christine,

yes I have seen the drawings for the pool area and it is smaller. Thats the only way to fit other things in. The entire deck is laid out differently.
Cabins are smaller too. I love miniature golf so I am happy they are going to have that too.:goodvibes

I'm finally here.

The clouds have moved in and I've lost my sunshine.

Been trying to get caught up on some work today.

I'll check in later.

Good luck with the cleaning today Kathy!

Thought I'd check in early today.

It's been snowing off and on here since yesterday. I guess that will make our cruise that much more enjoyable when we leave in 28 days. :cool1:

The hospital called and said my surgery is scheduled for 3pm tomorrow afternoon. They also said I couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight tonight....it's going to be a long day. :sad2:

I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Kathy
I'm here. Just a busy busy week. I am having a devil of a time cranking through my to-do list and i have new business coming my way on an almost daily basis. Not complaining as it is a GREAT problem to have. I just need to take a breath and organize a bit better.

Looking very forward to our trip to WDW in March. So ready to be out of the snow.

Girls are busy as always. Swimming, Dance, gymnastics, girl scouts, school, friends....

We just started looking at excursions for our Med cruise and they all look so incredible - very expensive but we figure we are not going to have a chance like this again so we want to do things right - and safe - so we are doing mostly DCL excursions. Still haven't come up with our complete list but when we do, I'll share it here.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday. Christine, have a blast in NOLA (as if there is any other choice)!!!

jeff

Morning all,

Greg for once I actually feel badly for you. I hate not being able to eat for that long a time. I had a delayed surgery once too. it was scheduled for 8 a.m but was closer to 1:00 before they were ready to put me out.
I was so hungry my stomach hurt. in my case a child needed surgery so they took him in first which I understood but it doesnt help the rumbling tummy.

hope the snow doesnt stick there. We jus thave rain. Suppose to have a short break today for a few hours before the next storm comes through and its suppose to really dump the rain and wind too. Then a dry weekend and rain all next week.
Maybe my rain will become your snow?? in that case I will send it along to you.

Now that the cleaning is done today I can work on my scrapbook. Most of the pages are done accept lettering and then put into the album. thats the cruise part, now the WDW part needs to be done.

For anyone who is interested I officially have a head cold!!
Grrrrrr!!! Guess thats better than the flu!!

Greg i suggest you pig out right up to midnight:lmao:

Back later,

Kathy

evening

having a great time here in colorado.....we left chicago on time and no snow on the runways. it was snowing here today....but really nothing to really worry about. having a great time with Izzy.....

hope things are well with all

greg good luck with your surg. tomorrow.

Good morning.

Well I had my final meal last night before surgery...a subway sandwich.

The kids had piano lessons and karate after school plus Janel had a cub scout meeting at our house, so needless to say no one had time to fix dinner.

Looks like we may have a some sunshine today. :woohoo:

Kathy and Jeff, watching the weather last night looked like both of you were getting clobbered with rain and snow?

Denise, have fun with Izzy. :-)

Happy Friday all,

Greg, thinking good thoughts for you today:goodvibes

Yes we are getting dumped on all night and all day today. At least its just rain here, poor Jeff probably has snow again:sad2:

Denise good to hear you made it there with no problems.

Have fun with Izzy. She will probably be spoiled rotton by the time you leave which is the way it should be when Grandma comes to visit;)

Back later,

Kathy

Yes another snow storm. Kids are off school AGAIN. However, we are not getting it nearly as badly as Philly and New York. "ONly" about 4-6 inches here total between last night and Saturday. As a true winter-hater, this year has been my hell. Give me 90 degrees and 90 percent humidity any day.

Woohoo! I made it through surgery!

This surgery took twice as long as the other...had more to repair I guess? :confused3

My arm/hand is really swollen, so I fear this one is going to take much longer to heal. I hope I'll at least be able to lift more then 4lbs with it by the time we leave in 4 weeks. :worship: My right arm is feeling better everyday, but It's still very painful to lift more then about 7-8 lbs with it.

They gave me a different pain killer this time and it seems to be working much better then the first.

I'm feeling very drousy, but I don't want to sleep yet or I'll be awake at 2am.

How's Greg doing now?

Have a good night.

evening

greg, glad to hear your surgery went well. hope recovery goes well so this dosnt interfere with your trip.

Kathy, yes I am spoiling Izzy, I am having such fun, however, my knee is getting a work out and is starting to bother me again. but right now, I dont care just enjoying my time here. Jim and Heather are going out tonite and I guess mom gets to stay home and babysit....

later:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Good morning Nana's!

Well I've got to say I'm pleasantly surprised this morning. I made it through the night without needing a pain pill. :woohoo:

So far I have very little pain so I just took two Aleve this morning to see if that will suffice? I may regret that choice later today, but we'll see?

Jeff, are you still getting snow? Did the girls just have to miss one day of school with this last storm?

Kathy, how's the weather your way? We're suppose to get a lot of snow too, but so far we haven't gotten much.

Denise, how long will you be in Colorado? How's the knee holding up? My neighbor just told me he's got to go in and have his knee scoped on Tuesday.

Have a great day everyone! :thumbsup2

Howdy all,

Jeff, we may have to start calling you Mr. Snow this year. Sorry to hear you still getting hit with the white stuff. Time for a quick trip to Hawaii for a few days, after they remove the Tsunami watch. I know thats spelled wrong but I have been up since 5 a.m. so my brain is not working too good yet.:confused3

Denise,
glad your having fun, I figured Lizzy would be spoiled rotton by the time you leave. Its so much fun being a grandma isn't it:cloud9:

Greg, thats great your doing so well this morning. I hope your hand heals quickly so you can really enjoy your cruise.
Maybe proping it up on a pillow may help the swelling?

If you get our rain in the form of snow your in for a ton of it. It has dumped rain for 2 solid days. This morning we have a bit of sun before the next storm arrives. We had lots of wind last night.

Poor Pixie was kinda shook up with the noise of each gust.

Greg and Peter are moving Gregs moms things from her storage unit to the room Greg added on for her today. It will be an all day job but hopefully they will finish today. Greg is 100% now but i have a head cold. So far its all stuffed up inside my head causing headaches and a cough.

I dont know which is worse, blowing my nose every 2 minutes or the pressure and headache when it wont blow out the nose.:headache:

No news other than that around here this morning. It was 34 this morning which is pretty chilly.

Greg, dont over due today. Relax and sleep as much as you can so you can heal up better.

Back this afternoon,

Kathy

Sorry to hear you have a head cold Kathy. Are you able to take anything to help it...like liquid tylenol cold or similar?

I hope you get feeling better soon.

When do you and Greg leave for your Trans-Atlantic cruise?

I don't see your countdown ticker?

I can use just about any cold meds out there. Some just need to be crushed and dissolved first, so capsules dont work but Dristan or Things that you drink work.
Of course cough syrup wont work since I can swallow it but many other meds that I can dissolve and shoot in have cough supressants. Just have to have a full tummy so they dont upset my stomach. I have a great pill crusher. I have to crush all my meds and dissolve them. I have to be careful on liquids that they arnt sticky or they can clog the tube. Some you can delute and that helps. I have experimented alot over the years.

Our TA is September 18 but not sure if we will do it. We are getting hit with a lot of extra large bills right now so we may put that off for a year and do something else that doesnt cost as much as a precaution. The Rv has several things in need of repair plus a few other items.

We have been discussing several other options for a great vacation that is half the price. We will decide for sure by May 1st because May is the pay off date. Past that and we wont change plans or we would loose too much money. There are other cruises or destinations ot think about.

we are going camping in June for a week in the Bend area to ride quads and hopefully get in some long hikes and a few days in late summer down a tthe beach I hope. So what ever we deicde to do, whether its the TA or something else it will be next fall. Summer is filled up with weekend trips or daily picnics too. I am hoping the kids and grandkids can meet up with us some too.

Time to take the pups out,
Kathy

Gosh, you would think with today's modern medicine they could do something to help you be able to eat and drink normally again?

I sure hope you guys will be able to make the TA cruise, it looks like fun!

Well, I decided to buy an electronic dog door today, so Max can get in and out of the house when he wants. It will be nice while we're gone because then he can come and go as he pleases and I don't have to rely on the neighbor's to let him out.

He used to stay with Janel's parents, but they got a new bigger dog and he and Max don't get along!

Greg, I never heard of an electronic doggie door before?

Our dogs had one they used in Florida. It was a flap they pushed open to go through both ways and we had a plastic panel we could use to close it off when we wanted to. They caught on really fast and could always go out when they wanted to, it was great!!!

Hows the new surgery doing today? Has the swelling gone down some?
How abotu the old surgery? Can you tell a difference yet? I hope so.

Gotta go fix some dinner, we have had a beautiful sunny day today. Greg even bathed the dogs.:goodvibes They smell so much better now.

Hi Kathy,

Yeah, the dog door looks awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuLjQHfEpBI&fmt=18

I don't want our cats coming in the house though, so this should work great for that.

My right arm that went through surgery first is feeling wonderful. My left that just had surgery is still very sore and painful. I've been taking a hydrocodone every 4 hours for the pain today, but it will be feeling better in another day or two. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear your weather is warming up. I wish ours would, but I only have to endure another 24 days and we're outta here! :cool1:

Thats a cool door Greg. I wish my door would do that for me. Do they make them in Old lady size:rotfl2:

I am glad your right hand is doing so good. That gives hope for the left one.

Peter bought a small cheap BBQ this afternoon. I wasnt prepared for BBQ hamburgers or steaks so we had BBQ'd hot dogs. they came out pretty good.

Well good night all,

Kathy

Morning all,

foggy here today. Rain is coming by afternoon. RATS!!! I was hoping for another nice day like yeaterday. Although they think the weekend will be nice, I wont believe it until I see it;) At least its not snow:thumbsup2

No news from here this morning,

back later,

Kathy
