Would you keep your updates (about" pj breakfast" and "Meet & Greet") in post #1476? I have linked this post to post #1 for easy tracking.

Just giving us a little BUMP and saying hi! :)

Happy New Year, everyone!!:cheer2: :dance3::dance3::dance3::cheer2:

We did Palo brunch on KW day last time- it starts earlier than usual that day- 10 or 10:30 instead of what it usually is.

Thats good idea for Key west day.

I dont think we will be off the ship too much that day. Maybe about 2 hours for an electric car.

Then maybe an hour right before we leave to mingle through the Haloween stuff at Mallory Square.

ALSO that is Halloween night and i need extra time to get ready so i plan on being back in room getting ready for dinner.

If we were going without kids i would being doing the whole afternoon doing the DUVALL CRAWL.....But that will khave to wait.

Hopefully what ever quicktrip we decide to do in the summer will include DUVALL!!!

Oh that's good to know! :) Thx!!!

Yep, it has been waaaay to long since we have done a Duval Crawl too!!:rotfl2:

So, back to the real world for me tonight after 2 weeks off. Not looking forward to THAT. Especially in this weather. Our office is always HOT (85 degrees plus) so I'll be wearing my shorts even though it will be 20 something degrees outside. LOL, the sprint to & from the parking lot should be fun! ;)

And with less than 3wks to the RCCL cruise I have SO much to do, gathering, packing, printing, etc. Our printer decided to go on the fritz so all of these documents, spreadsheets, port info etc. may have been for nothing. I was going to just put it all into a binder but I decided I'd much rather print it in 8 1/2 by 5 and put it in the Passporter. Anyone ever done that? I saw a program called CopyBook which has a 15 day trial download so I may check that out...but I don't know If I should bother....especially if we have to take it to be printed at Staples or somewhere. (I'll probably run out of time anyway:rolleyes1!)

Our new Year has been great. We went tobogganing at our BIG hill on New Years Eve, and then again New Years Day. What a difference a year makes for a child, last year our youngest went down the hill once. He got snow in his face, screamed and cried and never ever went again! This year he was just going to WATCH us, but then he saw how much fun everyone else was having, tried it once with his daddy, and LOVED IT! We couldn't get him OFF the hill to go home (thus why we went again New Years Day, we barganed with him). I'm making a Youtube video or our Day there, will post a link once it's done!
DH's First Day back to work is in the morning, but his Start to the WORKING New Year isn't that great. As of tomorrow his hours change from 7am - 3:30pm, to 1:frigin:mad:: 30 A.M. to 10:30 pm. He's not happy with it either, but we'll deal. At least he now has permanent 3 day weekends! (yah, look at the bright side:))

I know how you feel. It was back to work for me today as well. After getting off allot of time because of the holidays plus extra days for being sick, out the door I strolled to be greeted by a balmy 15 degree morning complete with a snow squall. Of coarse my commute wouldn’t have been complete without the snow bank my car got stuck in causing me to need the aid of my auto club and a very nice policeman (when did they get so YOUNG) to free it. I arrived 1 1/2 hrs late. My clients thought that my story was HILARIOUS and made jokes all day. I need a Mohito:drinking1.... and some steel drums.....and a beach:beach:......and a Mickey Bar!:mickeybar LOL

Hope it warms up before your cruise.

I am stired of the cold already.

We are sticking to our NEW YEARS RESOLUTION SOO FAR....HAHA

And di the WII Fit tongith and tool the dogs for walk and it was sooooo cold..
I cant belive how cold it can really get here in THE FORT!!!! UGGHHH.

The rest of you must be freezing i cant even imagine i could barley make it around the block....

Hey everyone
another cold and wet day...YUCK!!! I'm so ready to get out of here. Every winter all we talk about is moving but then summer comes and its so beautiful (for at least for 3 months or so.) today I think we hit a high of 35.

SHANNONR... I was checking out the first post and saw that you guys are in the exact same rooms my fam was in on our last cruise in may. There connecting rooms right? They worked out great for us its fairly close to the elevator and no noise from above:thumbsup2

I don't know how some of you do it all the matching outfits, FE gifts and packing stuff for pirates night and now Halloween! don't get me wrong I wish I could but My hubby only lets me pack one bag per person...I know, thats just not right, right? but that's what I get. I did manage to squeeze in a pirate costume for my youngest last time but it was a tight fit. I will probably mail our FE gifts this time, several people from our last cruise did that and it seemed to work great. I (we) don't really do the dress up for dinner. my hubby and I do bring something nice enough for PALO's but thats a must!!!! MMMMM...can't wait, it's heavenly :littleangel:

hmmmm. . . I was told they only did Palo Brunch on Sea days . . . :confused3

That's what I thought as well. But I wonder if it's because we don't get off till later,I think 12:30?... I know it's a sin not to have our schedule memorized, I'll try to do better:laughing:

and since I was left holding the door - I'm glad you finally stopped in!! :rotfl2:

It's truly great to be here. I always find in interesting how it always feel like family/friends here, especially since most of us have never meet. I love my DIS FAM!!!!

That is why- it's because the ship docks in the afternoon- also, on the Western, if they didn't do KW day Palo brunch there would only be 2 brunches- and I'm SURE that wouldn't be enough! :goodvibes

I'm laughing about the DUVAL CRAWL- the last time, i did it by MYSELF!! :rotfl: After we walked around/did the electric car as a family, the kids went back on board, and Pods & I went back to Duval...stopped inSloppy Joe's and the Giants were coming on, so Pods stayed there while I went to Irish Kevins & Margaritaville alone! :rotfl2: :woohoo: But i guess you're never ALONE in Key west, are you? :dance3:

TJbaggot- congrats on getting the whole family up on that hill!! Sounds great! :thumbsup2

......I have stocked up with some long overdue supplies.;)

Since the highs for the next 4 days won't get out of the 20's, I have stocked up on:

1) Hot chocolate laced with cinamon.
2) Cinamon "Teddy Grahams."

and....

3) Godiva chocolate squares (one per cup of hot chocolate):cloud9:.

So when I get home after a long day on the job, The Teddy Grahams make for some great dunkin into the coffee cup filled with that great concoction while I kick back in my recliner watching more of season 4 of "Fraggle Rock" on dvd.
But before any of this takes place, she goes just completly nuts - just a barking with quite a loud "Gypsy yell" - cuz it's time to go out for a w-a-l-k.:woohoo:
So, it's off to the local post office followed by four laps around our neighborhood (1 hour total). After that, it's back home for some of those above listed treats!
Of course, my trusty four legged friend wants in on the action, so I have handy a hand full of dog treats ready for her as well. She has seen snow only once (four years ago) and had no clue how to "use the facilities" outside since all that white stuff was covering everything up:laughing:.
It took me clearing away a spot for her (using my shoe to scrap away the snow) to feel comfortable in using said facilities.
Anything for my buddy:).
---------------------------------

And speaking of work, I survived last Thursday through Monday as we were quite busy with the Cotton Bowl crowd and all those nice neighbors from the northeast (OK I COME IN PEACE WITH THAT LAST COMMENT;)) as I definately expect a return visit of them this weekend as well.......that and we will also be housing the Army National Guard.

Ah..... a kingdom for the Mary Kay convention!:worship: But speaking of the neighbors from the northeast (Pennsylvania) -
Wow! Tickets for the upcoming football game (Saturday) are running $600 a ticket! OUCH!

--------------------------------------------------

Yea! I get to pick up the Disney dvd, "Aladdin" from the library today! Looking forward to watching it for the first time Wed am of this week.popcorn::

--------------------------------------------------------

Palo Brunch: That has me curious since I have never been to it.
I have heard a little about the lava chocolate mouse & wondering have anyone of you tried it? How was it??
What's your fav food to eat at Palo?
--------------------------------------

And don't forget about the PJ breakfast everyone as well as the DISmeets Meet & Greet. Anyone wanna get signed up for them, please feel free to go to the 1st posting of this thread & it will direct you to the specific posting for more information.:hippie:

P.S. for anyone with children, feel free to read "Cruise Critic.com" as there is some updates / info on changes in how Disney Cruise Line handles their kids clubs and such (Oceaneers club, etc). From what I have read, it sounds pretty good. It's listed in their "News" section.

Opinions on the new changes??

If we could do Palo brunch multiple times I'd give up the Palo dinner to do it... such an amazing brunch!! :)

Didn't know they did it on the KW day either! Good to know - as it's usually easier to get DD into the kids club on port days than sea days. For some reason, the activities seem to be more interactive on port days!

Stay warm everyone!
I was blown away to see that Denver is warmer today than most of the south and pretty much everywhere else eastward of us... and my toes are cold anyhow.

(p.s. yes, I'm still dropping in and out randomly - you guys still love me, right? ;))

Knewton64- thanks for that heads up on all that new kids stuff! Doesn't affect my boys too much, but I am interested to see what new activities will be coming up for my tweens! Stay warm everyone!!

Yeah, I have read a lot of discussion about it on the main DCL forum.

I'm going to withold judgement on it for the time being. Having two kids that are perpetually in different age groups - from that perspective these changes sound positive (They always want to do the same activities which are inevitably at different times etc....It has always been a headache) However- that having been said I expect it will be chaos of a much larger degree. I was always fond of the structured activities- I never cared much for the "free time" in the clubs- it was a nuthouse. It was hard enough to round up our kids when it was just the specific age group in a particular area...now if they could be in the Club- or Lab- doing whatever with 1,000 other 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 year olds....welll......hmmmmm.

Guess I'll have to wait and see. Glad there will be lots of time for them to perfect this new structure before we are onboard! ;)

(I will be glad if Sarah makes it into the club that her older siblings will be there to help allay her fears! She will only be 2 1/2 but we are working on the potty training already)

I'm hoping the changes will be positive so my soon to be 3 year old can "hopefully" go off with his big sisters and give us some free time :cool1:
I've finally got him potty trained, now I'm just trying to get him to learn how to put his clothes back on when he's done! :rotfl:
