Now you opened Pandora's box......

Dinner:O'Hana's in the Poly:thumbsup2
Lunch: Earl of Sandwich or Puck's
Breakfast: Tony's (but you have to be in a grand gathering)

Drinks: Hands down, Dole Whip:yay:

I still can not believe that we are over a year to go and we have all these post's.

...now I have a better idea on how to better approach my pre-day :goodvibes. I never knew about those ice cream sandwich things at the Main Street Bakery. I agree! YYUUMM!!! Gotta check those out! - and yes, DOLE WHIP is a must for a drink!

I was having sooooo much fun in Jan 09 at WDW but this time I wanna slow down "a bit" (:upsidedow) and see
where I am going WHILE I am going from "point a to point b" enstead of just going from point a to point b. I saw all 4 parks in 4 days but WHEW!!!!!! :faint:

Ok.....so it's 2 icecream sandwhiches & a Dole whip while at MK for a snack....hmmmmmm.........now do you see why I will be up at 4 am jogging every morning on the cruise ship (deck 4) followed by 1 hour on the treadmill then followed by 1 hour on those heated recliner via the Vista Spa? ;) .
Ah well - no pain no gain... he he he.

O.K. enough with the pictures.... Lets all sprinkle some pixiedust: pixy dust and make it appear.

Thanks for the news article. Well if all goes well, it will be on our way (on the cruise, most likely eating dinner) in 424 days (10,176 give or take a few hours) , but who's counting:banana:

I know it is over a year away, but what is everyones thought about getting together before the cruise? I was thinking about meeting up at BLT or ALK lounge on Friday night?

What are your thoughts?

Wife may be leaning toward staying at BLT so that might work for us. What is the accessibility to non-DVC members?

We will be there probably 3 days prior and one of the things that is on our "must do" list is the MNSSHP. If the party schedule stays the same then that Friday night before the cruise will be the night we go to MK for the party.

I think that is a great idea but I plan to be on board the magic that night. I hope you can pull together a mini meet for those at WDW. How about someone doing one for the folks staying at the airport and those who will be at the Port? It is great to see the planning begining to take shape. Lois

That does sound like fun, but we are planning on MNSSHP that night.:)

Keep working on it as the group will continue to grow and change over the next year.

What do you thing that the chances are that there will be another family or two doing a back to back with us?

Last year (on the DVC member cruise), we did two meet up's. One was at WDW (I think it was at OKW) and one on the Magic before sail away. But we can meet up where most of us will be on Friday. Like most of you, we will try to get the the Halloween party. Just think pack one outfit for WDW and the same for the Magic. pirate:pirate:

BLT is tight, at any other resort I would say we just need a DVC'er to hold the door for the rest of us but I've hear you can't go to the lounge unless you are actually staying there on points...(i.e. not just DVC member but have to be using points for the stay as opposed to just booking under the nightly cash rate.)

I'll admit I've wondered if you can get in there if you are using rented points but I don't think so unless you are a DVC owner.

Now the 4th floor walkway bridge on the other hand....I think we can get in there if someone props the door open.....:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Another beautiful day here in NJ. Thanks to Danny, the last weekend of the summer is a washout. :(. Well at least all the BENNYS will not be on the roads today, lol:lmao: So I guess no one won the Mega Millions last night except two people from CA and NY. If we won, the first trip we would take is the QM2 around the world cruise, then fly our friends and family to Disney for a week, all expenses paid and rent the park at night just for us. :cool1: But then I woke up and only have 2 numbers, so I guess the trip will have to wait.:rotfl:

Is any one planning to fly down before cruise?

A person after my own heart. That's exactly what I said we'd do if we won -- In Queens Grill, none-the-less.

.
Now, on the other hand - I hear ya about the Choc Chip or Oreo cookie question :goodvibes. Say....this does open up the floor for a excellent question. Ok.....so where wud u suggest I go to check out the ultimate WDW choc chip cookie or some other snack :confused3 ?
Per se, my pre-day will be at POFQ and I plan on havin my very 1st WDW rice krispy treat (dipped in chocolate of course) from Goofy's Candy Shoppe as well as a Chocolate Malt from Ghiradelli's while I am out & about. But what about that choc chip cookie or ?????
I figure since I have recently (here in Dallas Texas) tried Hawiian Icka ....dipped in Ghiradelli chocolate (not bad but tastes like salty tenny-shoe laces with an attitude), I wanna try other foods while I am at the House of Mouse.

Also, "Goofy" question but gotta ask: has anyone been out to the Boardwalk area?? Worthwhile checking out?? Opinions please.

Favorite dessert? Being a traditionalist, nothing beats a Mickey bar when on the go. For a sit-down treat, either Ghiradelli's, Beaches&Cream or something from Boulangerie Patisserie.

Breakfast - We usually do breakfast in our room, but if I were forced to pick something, I'd say the breakfast buffet at Boma
Lunch - Sunshine Seasons or Starring Rolls
Dinner - Chef Mickey's

We usually stay at the BWV, so we're there frequently. The Boardwalk is great at night. There are Midway type games, street performers and then there's always Jellrolls or the ESPN Club.

I've been on meet threads that had several chapters. Our cruise thread from last October is up to Chapter 13 already. Now there are some chatty people. And our 2006 DVC Member cruise thread is up to 7 chapters before finally petering out.

It looks like this will be done in time for our cruise!:thumbsup2 I'm so glad adults can use the waterslides!!!:cool1:

THAT LOOKS SOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!

I DUNNO where we will be YET?? BUT we have thought about doing the MNSSHP, Would love to have a meet somewhere....it is nice to get to the port and already know some people.

I think this is a great place to meet up especially for those with kiddos..
