We tried to book BCV at the 7 month mark (we have two contacts @ SSR & AKV) but couldn't get the two days after the cruise. The 6th was available for a 1 or 2 bedroom, but not the 7th so I booked WVL and wait-listed BCV. With any luck we may see you at Stormalong bay after the cruise.

It's BOOKED! I just booked my mom's room on our Dream Cruise in 2011! I spoke with her Boyfriend today, and he is coming with us!:banana:

Now I need ideas of what to wrap for her for Christmas (this is a Christmas gift), to Slowly reveal the Surprise! What are some items you all can think of that would get her wheels and curiosity going before the BIG REVEAL? :)

Well one package could have a bottle of water and a rubber duck. Aqua-Duck. LOL! That's pretty bad, huh? :rotfl:

Congrats on your booking!!!

I think DCL is pricing themselves out of the ground transportation market. We are staying on property before the cruise and will be taking a DCL bus to the port mostly because there is no hurry to get there. In past cruises we tried to get to port by 10ish when the port opens, but we are concierge guests so we are allowed to board the ship upon arrival so there is no need to rush to port.

On our last cruise we took the DCL bus to WDW and it took us three hours to get from port to our resort. Unfortunately, you have to wait at the port until your bus is full, and then when you finally get to WDW it is the luck of the draw which resort is dropped off first.

Anyway, my point is we booked a DCL bus to port ($35 pp) totalling $140 for this cruise. I wanted a limo for after the cruise so for fun I booked a stretch limo from Southern Elegance for $185; a standard towncar is comparable to the DCL bus in price.

Seems crazy that we can book a stretch limo for only $45 more than a bus.

I do like to surprise my girls, so I told them I booked a car, didn't mention how long it is. :thumbsup2

Something for pirate night? A couple of highlighters? Our last cruise was a Christmas gift to the kids and we gave them each a pirate costume to open and then let them figure out why they got a costume for a Christmas present.

Did Disney announce the MHSSHP dates already or are you speculating on what the dates are?

I don't think they were announced yet. But if you look at the MK calendar that is up on the WDW website for October 2010, you can kind of guess based upon the nights the park closes early (7 pm vs 9pm). Also, Wishes will not be listed as one of the events on a given party day, since the park closes early and the fireworks that they do on a MNSSHP night is Hallowishes only.

Of course, the calendar could always be changed up until the date they post the MNSSHP schedule.

We are arriving Thursday to AKL and plan just to swim in the pool and/or go to Downtown. We are not doing MNSSHP, but are going to MK on Friday which is likely a party night and a day the park closes early. This is o.k. with us, since we always get to the park at rope drop and usually only stay until dinner time since that is about all my kids can handle. I was considering making a dinner reservation at O'hana or Chef Mickey's that night so we could leave MK, hop on the monorail (DS's favorite thing ever!) go have dinner, take the monorail back and then grab the bus back to AKL.

Wow, I just made myself tired thinking about it!

Edited to add: Whoops, I stand corrected. I just went and looked and they have been posted now! Tickets on sale May 1st, as I believe Nenner posted weeks ago.

We will be doing something similar, we are staying at BLT for two days. Since Thursday is a travel day we will take it easy, but Friday will be a big day at MK. If there is a MNSSHP Friday night we will go then. Since our focus is MK and the party we decided BLT would work out well.

Saturday morning we are doing Chef Mickey's which will be a great way to kick off the day.

I think on Saturday we are going to stick close to AKL and go to Boma for breakfast. We have never been there before, so I wanted to give it a try.

Heart-felt congratulations from our house to yours! Welcome to the world little Vincent!

Hi,

Thanks everyone for welcoming our newest addition to our family. It is hard to believe that Vincent is 4 days old already:) We are both doing well, but of course I have not gotten a lot of sleep the last few days. You forget how exhausing, (but rewarding :goodvibes) a newborn can be. The kids are so excited about Vincent and my oldest (age 11) especially spoils him :).

We are starting to talk about what we would like to do for our excursions. Are the beaches nicer in Cozemel or Grand Cayman? Any one been to any of the beaches at Cozemel. We thought about doing a Mayan tour in Cozemel, since my oldest son is adopted from Guatemala and is Mayan, but I am not sure if he will get much out of it at the age of 8. It might be better if her were older.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Vicki

Welcome to your newest family member. AS far as if your 8 year old would enjoy visiting a mayan Tour it really depends on his interest. My Grandson at 8 would have loved it. He was into history and loves to study however my Grandaughter at 14 years old strill would not enjoy it.

Please consider the travel time and lenght of the whole excusion. Remember that it will still be very hot and there is limited shade. I loved Tulum and even have considered returning but it is a very long Hot day.

Best wishes in figuring out what will meet everyone wants and needs. I would be overwhelmed with an 11, 8 and newborn to consider. I am having problems with just the two adults. Lois

Did Disney announce the MHSSHP dates already or are you speculating on what the dates are?

Oh I was speculating based on the 7 PM close, and the fact that they have been traditionally on Thursdays in the past! It's good to know now for sure though!

Hmm, only a little experience in Cozumel. We did our own thing and just stopped along the coast at the little beach clubs. Some were nicer than others. Traditional sandy beaches were hard to come by- the places we were at (Dzul Ha/Money Bar, Playa Corona) had rockier shores. This was on the calm side of the island. There were some sandy shores on the other side but no swimming over there due to the riptides and current. I know some places have the nice beaches like Chankanaab. With the baby I would definitely consider somewhere like that that has facilities.

It is finally Spring Break down here! Our passes expire next week so we are heading out to DHS tomorrow. Remember when I complained about the "7" crowd levels at MK? Well tomorrow is supposed to be a *9* at DHS. Two Fantasmics, all that jazz. I am thinking we'd better be there for rope drop!

.....oh nooooooooooooooo - run!:lmao:.

Ok.....so around May 1st the tics go on sale (more or less).....is this something we can do online????

Or do we have to call 407-934-7639??

Help - as any kind suggestions wud be greatly welcomed:goodvibes.
