Wow, what a difference 24 hours of antibiotics make! Doing MUCH better this morning already! Thanks for the well wishes.

As for the Welcome packet, we are not with DVC but did get this via our TA back in early December. She put it in a HUGE folder with a 2010 Calendar, a Certificate from them that reads "Guess who's Going on A Cruise?", It's on a photo of a DCL ship at sea and has a transparent Mickey head to the left of the page with my, DH's and DS'S names in it. Also came with from our TA an itemized packing list! The folder was decorated with Disney Stickers. Pretty awesome, but I had tucked it away immediately as I didn't want my kids to see it, and I had forgotten all about it till Pudo mentioned it!

Glad you're feeling better:flower3: Wow, sounds like you have an attentive TA! You got a really nice packet.

I'm feeling pretty jealous too, I'd like to get some Disney mail. It would make this cold dreary weather seem a little warmer.

I haven't gotten any Disney mail either. I booked just a few weeks ago though. I'll check with my TA. I might even go up and see if they've assigned us a room yet although it's probably way too early.

I need to change my ticker - we won't be sailing with you guys this time :sad2: It's not all bad - my Dad asked us to go to Disney in October on a family trip instead of going on the cruise. We took my parents on their first ever vacation in Dec 2008 - and they fell in love with Disney! If you knew my Dad (Mr. Tightwad!) you would know how BIG this is! So... it's a family trip to WDW instead of cruise! :woohoo: We are excited to go in October - that's a time we haven't been before! We are planning to sail October of 2011 instead.

Sorry to be leaving you guys, but it's all good!

Have a wonderful Halloween Cruise! :goodvibes

Trading one Disney trip for another is not bad at all. Sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun with family. I looked it up for a friend yesterday and October is a good time to go, fewer crowds :thumbsup2

I just sent my TA an email crying that I wanted mail and she said, "I just dropped in the mail this morning!!" yayayaya!!

Sorry you are not cruising with us but you will have a blast at WDW. October is a great time to visit still warm but not as crowded!! Have a blast and ride Soaring and TOT once for me.

I am pleased you are feeling better nothing is worse than feeling sick. Your TA is really very attentive. What a sweet thing to do. I don't think we have recieved any Disney mail. I am paying off my Disneyland trip here soon and when I return I will worry about my B2B. Lois

Our DCL mini packet came today too. Hope grabbed the mail from the box after they got off the kindergarten bus. She spotted the Disney envelope and asked: "Mommy are we going to go on our first Mickey and Minnie cruise?" And Skye said, hmmmm, Mommy are we going to go on a big ship with mouse ears soon? So my DDs are on to something! And when we finally give them the definitive answer we can predict the never ending questions: when can we pack our tinkerbell suitcases? when is October? will we get to see Minnie, will we get to see Mickey, will we get to see Ariel, etc etc." Through the eyes of little ones the magic is magic. So glad we will get to share the magic with all of you too!

If we do a "treasure map" for the Dis TOT, I'm betting my nickle on these two! :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear that you won't be able to join us, but I'm thinking time with family is a great way to spend your vacation (well, with your family, not with mine! hahaha) Enjoy your vacation!!

Hey Judy!!

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better - especially since I never got around to making my chicken soup this week . . . (I would have sent you some)

Let my little buddy Tim know, if he doesn't lose any more teeth between now and our cruise, I'll bring him a special treat! (perhaps that way you can start saving some spa money instead of letting the toothfairy use it all!)

In the words of my friend Mickey, "see you real soon!"

LOL!

Wanted to ask you something. How long (time wise) is the drive from New Jersey, to I-81? We are trying to determine weather or not to take the detour straight there on our way to FL, to drop off my mother and possibly Oldest son or Daughter, at my Aunts,,,,,, OR if it would be best to have my Aunt and her DH meet us at some place on/just off I-81 around Harrisburg or I-83 just before Baltimore. If we take the 83 to the 95, that will have us going THROUGH Washington, which we had wanted to avoid, but perhaps that actually the best route for dropping off my mother even if we have my Aunt meet up with us. If you could give me an idea of how long a drive that is approximately (or any others from NJ), that would be wonderfully helpful in our decision making!

Ok - I'm going to let you in on a little secret - but shhhh - don't tell anyone!! No one that knows me asks me anything about directions or anything to do with driving or navigating - I live about 5 miles from work and sometimes feel I'm going to get lost on my way in - hahaha!

There are a lot of Jersey people on here - so hopefully someone else can give you an aswer - and I'll just step back out of the way . . . :surfweb:

LOL! thats like me around here. I know where I'm going but don't ask me to tell you street names ect....for directions, lol

On another note, exactly what mail did everyone recently get? Back in Dec. I got the package I described up above, along with several booklets from DCL on the cruise planning (excursions, palo ect....)

TODAY, I got MICKEY MAIL! Thank goodness my kids are at school (oh and my 6yr has learned how he can fake a fever by holding the thermometre on a light bulb!) Todays mail had a beautiful cardboard envelope with a porthole on the front and a booklet inside titled "Welcome to your cruise, Western Caribbean Vacation". Also a really nice card with Mickey and Goofy on the front standing at the railings on deck 10? And to the side on top of the ocean part it says "Bon Voyage Baggott Family"!!!!!! (Thats not my TA's doing, this one is soley DCL doing!) Inside the card it reads "Welcome Back Baggott Family" and has all our cruise details necessary for making reservations (Res #, and date we can start booking)
AWESOME!! So is this what everyone else has been receiving or did you all get the package I got in December?

Put it into Mapquest with stops in cities along the route that will force it to route you the way you want to go. That way you can compare both distance and time. I do that all the time when planning to drive any distance.

Hey Judy,

I just checked with Brian, we're really not familiar with I-81, we use I-95. Where does your Aunt live?
