Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

I don't have the majority assembled yet so I still don't really know where we sit on extras. On paper, based on number ordered vs. tags set to be made still it looks like we will have less than 10 extra.

Ron thinks he has figured out a good way to handle how to distribute the extra ones. I have had inquiries from at least 4 families so I know there will not be enough to go around. I hate to disappoint anyone, :(. So I think I will let him handle those since he has a good plan, and I have more than enough on my plate right now.

So , everyone interested in the extra lanyards please be watching very soon for a post from Ron (livingis2me).
It looks as if there will be somewhere around 10 extra lanyards. Several people have expressed interest in the few that will be available. The only fair way I could come up with to unload the few extras is as follows:

As soon as Jen tells me how many extra we have, I'll post on this thread and say we have however many?? extras. Once you see that post from me and you are interested, pm me (livingis2me), not Jen. But not until I post! The extras will go to whoever sent pm on a first pm, first served basis. I'll pm you back with our paypal info, then pay ($3 per lanyard) via paypal within 48 hours. If payment doesn't make it within 48 hours we'll then offer to next on the list of pm. Since the lanyards have already been purchased that $3 per lanyard will go towards printing costs and the Dis TOT.

Sorry to sound strick;) we've just had several people interested in the extras and Jen wants to wrap this up asap.

So if you are interested in the extra lanyards please follow the thread closely and be ready to pm me your info. Be sure that when you pm you let me know how many you need. And don't forget to keep checking your pm to see if I got back to you so that you don't miss your chance...:goodvibes.
Thanks,
Ron

Just a heads up. If you book the KW old town trolley tour online, kids b/w the ages of 4 and 12 are now free with paying adult (the 3 and unders were always free). This is a great deal for my family: we only paid $52.20 (adult rate is 26.10 each) and saved about $25 with our two girls now riding free.

Here's the issue: I called the company to clarify as the language was confusing on the website about not putting the quantity of children in when you book it online (I tested it out, and if you do put in the number of kids in your party, the site charges them the child rate of $12.60 each). But if you don't list your children and just book the adults, the receipt says "the child promotional e-ticket must be used on or before 12/22/10." What child promotional e-ticket -- how can you get that when you can't put in the number of children in your party? I called the customer service number and the woman said they needed to fix that language on their site. She said that indeed, all children (12 and under) will get in free, just bring the adult e-ticket receipt. I plan on doing that, plus I printed out the "buy now" page which describes the "kids free" offer.

Sounds like KW will be crowded on the day we are there. This will save time for people who want to avoid standing in line at the trolley booths. Awhile ago someone posted a chamber of commerce coupon listing that children can ride free (Jeff was that you?) which is essentially the same thing, but you had to present the coupon at a trolley booth to get the deal. Now they've changed it and you can get the kids ride free deal online.

Hope this makes sense.

Beth

Joanie did we have a time yet for the Fishlips meet?

I will put this out for all who may be interested. We will have a Meet & Greet at Fish Lips the evening before we sail (if they can take us). Maybe Grills as a backup? Fish Lips has their menu on line, and I spoke with them, and they are happy to work with any of you who may have food allergies.

If you are interested, please PM me with your info as follows: Dis name, number in your party, how many adults, and number of children and ages.

I will post them :surfweb: here, and disney-cruiser offered to move the information to page 1. Perhaps 6PM would be good for people who have some things to pick up in the afternoon. However, we could do it earlier if that is what the majority likes.

So far we are: neener (5)-2 adults, 3 children 11,9 & 2
tjbaggot (4)- 2 adults, 2 children, 13 & 7
sssteele (2)-2 adults, both kids at heart

We would love to have you join us, and maybe :woohoo: we could have our lanyards that night!!!!????

OK here it is! There are 11 lanyards left. They will be offered in order by pm to me starting RIGHT NOW! Remember to let me know how many you need. I will then pm you back to find out what you want on the lanyard insert (ie. First name, Dis name, both or no name). It is important that you pm me back within 24 hours and pay via paypal within 48 hours.
Thanks,
Ron

If we did it @ 5-5:30 we might beat some of the crowd, maybe.:confused3 But, if we did that we may get to see the Royal Carribean ship set sail. I think that would be cool.

It seems we also received a credit from DCL, something around $59. I haven't received my credit card statement yet, but I figured it out by comparing my initial reservation confirmation with one I received a few days ago. The government fees & taxes portion had gone down.

Now, I shall go and promptly spend that money on our Olde Towne Trolley tickets!

Tinkerbelltwins: Thanks for the heads up about the tickets. Both of my kids are under 12, so this saves us quite a few bucks!

Hi Joanie,

I just sent you a PM about meeting at Fish lips the night before our cruise. It is getting ever so closer:goodvibes

That sounds like a great :thumbsup2 idea. Sooo much fun to watch the ships leave! Will this time work for any of the others joining us? Let me know.

Yep, I posted the links to the chamber of commerce awhile back. We bought tickets online then too so we didn't get the deal you got. Sarah is the only one that falls under the new promotion so I probably won't bother to get back the $12.60.

Thanks for posting the info.

Jeff

Does FishLips take Ressies? Either way, 5, 6pm, it all sounds great to me! Looking forward to it. Not quite sure what we are doing that day, but hopefully it's a NICE day and maybe we can sit at the beach in Cocoa Beach. Does anyone know if that is a free Beach or not? What else is there to do, as we can't check into our hotel till ???? and we have to check out of our Orlando Hotel by 11am.

I just checked and that RCL ship leaves at 4:30 pm. So if we wanted to check that out we'd have to meet a little earlier yet.:confused3 I'm good with an early meal if everyone else can handle it.

I am good with an earlier meal too. Plus, like you said before-- that might help us beat the Friday night supper crowd, plus it would be fun to see the ship leave.:thumbsup2

What time does the Magic usually return to PC? Late at Night or early morning? What are the chances we could see OUR ship come in? :)
As for meeting time, I'm good with anything you al choose.

Hi All!! I just wanted to cut in with a couple of comments:

* A big thanks to all the folks that are doing the TOT and buying all that Candy! The kids are going to be thrilled! :cool1:
* Thanks to Jen for the awesome lanyards!:woohoo:
* To all the folks involved with the Treasure Hunt - a special shout out to Beth!
* A special thanks to Sheri, who was able to get me a Golden Mickey for Anna's 9th birthday in 3 weeks! I am so grateful!:cloud9:
* If I missed anyone, I am sorry! You all have really made this a super special cruise. I can't wait to thank you all in person!

And finally a question about Key West... does anyone have comments or suggestions about the electric cars? Some folks in our group are interested and I don't know what to tell them!

Thanks!
Kristen
