iI am so bummed I can't meet you all at Fish Lips the night before this cruise. It sounds like so much fun but I just don't know how I would get from Castaway and back to the port before the ship. So I guess you will just have to get together without Janet and I.

However, we will be waiting on board for your arrival on Saturday!!!

I am at 134 days and counting till I pull out of my drive!!!!!​

Ok Miss Lois - please dont wait 134 days - you will miss the ship!!!

My Mom is sailing with us but not on the boards and she is Lois too! I know we are going to love you and Janet!

Janice, when we went a couple weeks ago the 7 Dwarves were in the space that used to be the skyway in Fantasyland. Just past Peter Pan on the way to Liberty Square. Very close to CHH!

Yes! I just heard that on the Podcast- and THIS time, I am making those boys of mine get in line!! 2 years ago we did MNSSHP on Halloween before our cruise- it's so much fun, I can't wait to do it again. Here's what they look like, with someone else's family-

Sooooo cool!

We rented an electric car 2 years ago and had a fun time. We had one that held 6 which is long. The battery ran down before our time was up but we were done by then anyway.

We did too! It was a blast- just don't head out to where they say "You aren't allowed to drive past HERE" on the map- it becomes a 4 lane road pretty fast. I still remember yelling at Pods to turn around as he hung a U-ee across all four lanes at a roaring 25 mph. (There were no cars nearby, so it was pretty funny).

With it now being October, I thought it best to now start informing my 13yr olds teachers of the trip. So I called the school earlier today and asked to be put in touch with ALL his teachers. The secretary said she'd leave a message for each of them to call me.

So today I've heard from both his French Teacher and his Drama teacher. They were both GREAT about us taking him away for two weeks, and fully understand it is a SECRET right now. Both will put assignments in an envelope for him to do on the trip, and send them home addressed to us his parents during his last week of school prior to the trip. Drama, now how on earth could he have Drama homework? Well, funny thing, it turns out that while we are away, the class is working on Radio broadcasting, or HOW TO do a radio broadcast as if each student were the speaker. His drama teacher thought this trip would be GREAT as for material for him to do a radio broadcast about! He can either do it in person in class when he gets back or he can record himself and play the recording to the class! Imagine, doing a radio broadcast with promoting Disney Cruiseline and one of it's Itinerary's or on What Washington DC has to offer a tourist!! What an awesome assignment!

So two down, 6 more to go.........


Trisha, I wish we could go to Epcot this time around. You'll have to let us know how the F&W was. We have one day to spend in a park but we are letting the boys pick, once they KNOW about the trip, and I don't think they'd pick EPCOT. I'm hedging on MK, but who knows, the kids can be surprising themselves, at times!

We did, as we got closer to the end of Duval St. But it wasn't too bad. It was definitely a good way to see the town, and the kids enjoyed it.

JEN- The candy purchase is INCREDIBLE!!! My boys will be thrilled! Thanks so much for doing the Lanyards and the ToT- you are the BEST!! We will not be at MNSSHP until after 7:30 most likely- we land around 5:15 that night. So we'll have to get our lanyards from you on another day.

Why is it, the closer the trip gets; the slower time goes.

So excited, can't wait.

Also wanted to share my graditude to all those who've gone above and beyond to make some magic for this cruise. I haven't told my boys anything about ToT yet; thought that would be a great suprise for them. That shopping cart was crazy full! Great Job to you ALL!

Boy that is a TYPO I do not want to come true. Lets try 13 days till I am out of my drive. Yes we are in the same stateroom for both weeks on board. That means no packing that first Friday night. So much fun to be had.

Can't wait to meet up with everyone. Lois

It looks as if there will be somewhere around 10 extra lanyards. Several people have expressed interest in the few that will be available. The only fair way I could come up with to unload the few extras is as follows:

As soon as Jen tells me how many extra we have, I'll post on this thread and say we have however many?? extras. Once you see that post from me and you are interested, pm me (livingis2me), not Jen. But not until I post! The extras will go to whoever sent pm on a first pm, first served basis. I'll pm you back with our paypal info, then pay ($3 per lanyard) via paypal within 48 hours. If payment doesn't make it within 48 hours we'll then offer to next on the list of pm. Since the lanyards have already been purchased that $3 per lanyard will go towards printing costs and the Dis TOT.

Sorry to sound strick we've just had several people interested in the extras and Jen wants to wrap this up asap.

So if you are interested in the extra lanyards please follow the thread closely and be ready to pm me your info. Be sure that when you pm you let me know how many you need. And don't forget to keep checking your pm to see if I got back to you so that you don't miss your chance....

I will then pm you back to find out what you want on the lanyard insert (ie. First name, Dis name, both or no name). DD comes home yesterday with two flyers and an invitation. One flyer is for the school sponsored "Boo Party" - the Halloween party thrown by the PTA. The second flyer is from her teacher announcing their classroom party and all the fun things they have planned. And, the kicker, an invitation for a Halloween party thrown by the twins next door (the girl is her age and they are good friends).

DD is now upset she is going to miss everything. I've told her about the DIS TOT and the DCL TOT and the pirate treasure hunt, our sea turtle/dolphin excursion, our stay at Animal Kingdom and visit to MK, etc., etc. She is still depressed.

DH says ignore her. She's 9. That she will be fine when we are actually on our way. That the concept of time is elusive to her and October 28th (when we leave) seems very far away.

I hope she cheers up soon. I'm telling you, I never thought it would be my kid who would suck the fun out of a WDW/DCL vacation for me!

Our little Catholic school (K-8) is having a Halloween party on Oct 29th. The President of the HSA committee is looking for volunteers. Told him I couldn't make since I would be at the Magic Kingdom Trick o' Treating!! He couldn't think of a better reason not to be available to volunteer.

Don't worry about your DD; children always focus on the "Here and Now". Once you are on vacation the focus will change again and all will be well.

Also I will like to thank all the people that dedicated their precious time to organize all the wonderful things for this cruise, we are kind of new to all of this, and will be missing some really cool things like the TOT and the Treasure hunt in Nachi Cocom beach, since we didn't sing in time, but did enter the FE and we just finish making al the bags.

I can totally relate. Our son's team is a contender in our league and he will be missing two toughest games we have. He also is the best player on the team. I have had parents somewhat joking about flying him back the day we get back from vacation.

Then to add to all the fun, my cousin is getting married and my sister is due on the 21st. She is expecting to go earlier. We packed somewhat about 2 weeks ago. Friends that we haven't heard from in months are wanting to get together.. its a wild month!
