Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

The maps look awesome!

I'm about to start pulling out clothes to sort in piles for the suitcases. How cold does it get on the ship? Thought I remember someone saying that the air conditioner blasts out cold air in the dining room. Can we control the temperature in the state rooms? Should I be packing long-sleeved jammies for the kids in the stateroom and sweaters for the dining room? Do the stewards provide extra blankets for the beds if need be?

OK...so the last 24 hours have been interesting. Yesterday afternoon we decided to go the Rainforest Cafe. On the way, Catherine says", have you heard about 106.3? It is now a Country music radio station! :cool1:

For those unfamilar, this area has not had a NY/NJ Country music radio station since April of 2003 when Y107 went off the air. Although, there is a very good station in Philly, it is too far to get good reception.

Jeff

That used to be 98.5 down here in Ocean County. Really good station, good DJ's, although no Ray Rossi!

We really liked it... his mummy is not there (they have an exact replica...it looks creepy and real), and the "famous" sarcophagus is not there. But what they have is really neat and well done.

I love Egyptology and for me it was the second time I saw his things. I was a teen when "everything" came to NYC! Now, I need to go to Cairo some day!

Enjoy!

The ABD Egypt is on my bucket list

I always pack a light sweater for my daughter... the dining areas can get chilly. The rooms have their own thermostat, so you should be fine!:goodvibes

I don't see us either. We are in staterooms 7541 & 7543.
We were also on the list posted at the start of this thread!
Thanks

I'm very sorry but I just recently took over the Fish Extrender Groups as Leslie became ill. I don't have your name on the list, so I will add you to group B. Will this work for you?

:yay: Don't know what I did, but I finally got the FE info to download.

:confused3 On the other hand, I thought I saved to favorites the link to print ears for the porthole. Nowhere to be found. Do any of you know where I can find them again?

WOW these FE maps look great! It will make finding the state rooms so much easier. There is only one correction that I have for us, which probably isn't a big deal, but we are from SW Wisconsin and not Geneva, IL:)

Otherwise these are AWESOME! Thanks so much, Janice, Judy and Jennifer!:goodvibes

I always pack a few universal sweaters that go with everything-I'm always cold, so I need them for the dining room, theaters, etc...and it can be chilly outside in the evenings with the breeze when the ship is moving.

You are doing an AMAZING job! Please let our friend Leslie know we hope she is resting and taking care of herself.

I think the master list may have just shifted as we are the Geneva, IL family with Late seating and it is in the row right beneath us. No worries!

Hey gang,

I will try to make the changes mentioned the last couple of pages to the FE lists and maps. Joanie and Sam's room number is the most important one I want to be sure everyone has correct.

What this means is I will have to delete the old file and upload the new one, which will have a whole new link. I am looking into a more viable option for everyone to access these documents and for changes to be made. I tried Google Docs briefly awhile back with some of my ToT stuff and it made a mess of my formatting but I may try again with these files and see what happens. (I'l save a copy first of course!)

Hopefully I can get this done timely. Please hold off printing until I can get to it (we are down a computer here right now- mine of course :guilty:- so I have a limited amount of time to get done what I need to online. ), I want to make sure everyone has it right. :goodvibes

HI All! Help! Need a little clarification on the Cruise Docs....

I am VERY confused. We have three cabins all paid by me. All booked by a TA. We have received one set of documents with a label to my 13yr old Son's name and our home address. Problem is that he is booked on my parents room with their own address. And the docs in the booklet are for their room.

Now what we received was from DCL in the mail and it said Special Cruise Documents Enclosed. Inside was a Castaway Club Book spiral bound. Is this what everyone is getting? I guess I am confused because it says Castaway Club and the booklet came to my son with our address but he is on a reservation with a different address. He is however the only one in the cabin that is a Castaway Club member since my parents haven't cruised before.

To boot the other two address' (mine with the rest of my family, and my sister's in Va) havent received our docs at all. Should I be worried or am I just being impatient. It has been two days since we got the one set of docs.

:confused3:confused3

Jen - A whole new doc sounds like a lot of work. As long as the cabin numbers are correct do we need to bother you to adjust the other (trivial) info? You have put so many hours (much appreciated) :worship: in to our FE list and lanyards. Just my 2 cents....

As for the docs - Yes, all we received is a spiral bound booklet but I might check with your TA or DCL about it being in your son's name.
