Oct 3, 2009 Wester Carribean

I lurked on your thread for a bit before we left. My kids were so bummed to not be able to participate in the FE that I promised to start/join a thread as soon as we came home. It was a great cruise and gorgeous weather, wasn't it?

Alex's Mom -- Carol,

I sent you a private message.

By chance are these people disney dreamers?

I have a few pics on them on my photo cd. yes I was crazy and bought it but my mom, aunt and uncle all pitched in.

Mindi---I know 2 of the people---blonde is Heather with Sam(dd) and Josh(ds) ....and the guy next to her is her DH. The other couple I am not sure

Is that Heather from our group?
If so I will try and email her and see if she would like copies of the photos. I didn't take the time to have them take people off my CD, I just made sure they had all my photos on it!!!

Just wanted to post here, too, thanks for the photos, Mindi! And thanks, Michelle, for pointing her in the right direction. The other couple with us in the picture are my in-laws....

So I found out on Friday that the teacher's assistant in Josh's class used to work at Kennedy Space Center and her brother currently works there! Oh, to have had that info several weeks BEFORE we went to KSC....:rotfl2:

But Josh was so impressed with KSC that he now wants to be an astronaut and loves his stuffed shuttle. He can tell you all about the Saturn V rocket and how it took man to the moon and how they took the Lunar Lander down to the surface - it's pretty cool seeing him get so excited about it. Between that and feeding the stingrays on Castaway Cay, I don't know what he enjoyed most.

We're still kicking around the ideas of what our next idea for a vacation will be. I'd talked about doing non-DCL Alaska in 2011 (Carmine and I will both turn 40 ), but I'm starting to reconsider. I think I may encourage his parents to do that on their own (or a European river barge cruise - that's the other one they want to do ). I think I can wait through 2010 without WDW, but the 2010-2011 school year is Sam's 5th grade year and most likely the last year we can "easily" take her out for a week's vacation (thus, avoiding holiday crowds) and I want to take advantage of that!

Aw, heck! The sooner I can get to WDW, the better! So, If Carmine suggests it for this winter, I'm there! OK, he won't do that, but I could see him getting antsy this time next year, with us maybe planning something late 2010, early 2011.....cross your fingers!

Heather---loved ur web page....I wish I could do something like that. Ok I guess I could but never have....nice way for family to keep up with the kids and all. Yeah Sydney will be in 6th grade when we do the Mexican Riviera but I am just gonna ask for her stuff a week before so she can work on some before we go and then on the 5 hr flight out to LA. I figure being exposed to different cultures is definately more learning and she will definately remember it more than any of the stuff they learn in school.....especially all the non-sense stuff they I don't remember! Well off to dry Nelia's hair, we just took the cornrolls out and gave it a "good" washing! Her hair was clean just the braids and pullng makes her scalp dry! TTFN

We have been busy since we got home. Today was Kyles 15 birthday. Guess he had a good time. Stsarted talking about 16th birthday. We are going on a mom/son trip. He wants to go to Fenway park. We are going to Boston Oct 1, and hope to see 2 games. they are playing the Yankees that weekend. Should be a good time.
My ex has been in Iraq for last year. HUnter finally got to see his Sat for a few hours. He was very excited.
Back to work tomorrow. Dr I work for finally had her baby last wek. 4 weeks early. Baby had to be transfered to Nashville for NICU, and mom still in hospital with complications. Please keep both in your prayers.

Kim,

I am thinking about your doctor and her baby.

Get on those tickets now. My friend went to NY this year and tried to see the Yankees and Redsox and the tickets were $1000 each!!! Yikes!

The Tickets at Fenway aren't as bad as in NY. Try Stubhub.com or ace tickets. Although I'm not sure that they are out yet. They work pretty good for Fenway. Fenway is awesome.

Just got off phone with Fenway, tickets go on sale "early December". Will have to keep watching. All he has ever talked about is going to Fenway. Guess that is a good 16 birthday gift.
Have a great day
Kim

Good Luck with getting tickets Kim....I guess that means there is no hope u'll join us on the Mexican Riviera!!

Here del came home and got sick and now Nelia is fighting something....let's hope nothing big. They got the flu shot before we went on the cruise, well the reg flu one anyhow. Let's hope this is a pesty cold that passes by weeks end!!

Actually I think the Boston trip is for next year and since we have to WAIT 2 YEARS for our cruise. Maybe Kim and her family can still join us!!!!

Marty took me to Fenway over Labor Day. We had a great time. We stood in line for the day of game tickets that get released. We got great tickets.

Michelle. Mindi is correct, Fenway next year and Mexican reveria in 2. Looks like we will leave Boston and fly to Orlando as we r planning to go to universal for fall break next year. We will go to Boston for his birthday and then meet the boys in flordia for family vacation. What a week that will be.
Getting boys hair cuts tonight and still doing homework. It has been a crazy Monday.
Talk to you all soon
Kim

Kim-----so does this mean U are joining our other Dreamers over on the Ocrobet 2, 2011 Mexicn Rviera??? If so joing us on our new thread too and I can add ya to that web page.!! U better say yes....LOL

OK where is everyone??? Sheesh cruise is over so everyone falls off the earth! Terri we would love you to join us on the Mexican Riviera......So has anyone been to Puerta Vallarta, Cabo or Mazatland?? I am just wondering if there are any must dos? I was thinking the dolphin swim....I found 2 places to do it through...I guess I will have to wait and see what people's reviews are when the Wonder starts going that way in 2011. Well off to get the girls in bed and then I am gonna veg and prolly fall asleep with this laptop on my lap. TTFN

In Cabo we loved the catamaran ride we took - I'll try to find the actual name of the excursion.

In PV we did the Tequilla Making Tour (with lots of samples) - probably not the family entertainment your looking for though :lmao:

We haven't been to Mazatland so no help there.

We returned to the living today. We got off the cruise Saturday. I did laundry and errands Saturday with a slight cough. By Sunday night I felt horrible and Monday I was diagnosed with bronchitis. Darrell was a day behind and was diagnosed on Tuesday.

The good news is we managed to clean off 2 weeks on the DVR in just 3 days! :happytv: We both took the whole week off work - thankfully Monday was already a holiday so we only missed 4 days. Pretty much laid on the couch the whole week.

Jen and Lila were here until Wed so they ran errands and picked up Rx - I'm sure Lila would have preferred to still be in the Oceaneer Lab.

We all had a great time on the cruise. The FE gifts were all awesome and so creative!! Our rubber duckies paled in comparison.

Well glad to hear u are doing better over there Lisa...though I think u shared with us. Nelia is sick and thankfully no fever yet. She sounds miserable and isn't really eating! I hope it passes soon though since I have a wedding this weekend I am sure it will hang around for fun!!

Well off to get somethings done cause then I should get in bed before Nelia awakens abt 1am.........she's been in bed since 7pm!! Last night she fell asleep at 6:30pm and then was up to take Kids Nyquil about 3pm...and then off to school at 8..not sure how she does it!! Well TTFN
