I'm reading over some of the more recent posts and feeling a little nervous about posting to all of you. We're so late! But, I'm hoping better late than never?

We just moved and started a new school and DH's new job so we've been a bit preoccupied. Now, we're settled and trying to get our cruise plans finalized.

It's me (38, today!), DH 41, DD 6 (almost 7 for the cruise), DD 4. We've been on DCL many times, but this is our first 7 day cruise! We're ex-castmembers and still love Disney and all it's magic; escpecially sharing it with our children!

DH is looking forward to the 5K run - thanks for mentioning that!

Is it too late to join in on the FEs? I totally forgot about these and know I should have been checking this board a long time ago!

Anything else we might have missed, just clue me in! Thanks!

Keep me posted on any great Southwest deals. Right now we are driving. There are 7 of us so it's probably more affordable to drive BUT if the deal is right we will FLY!!

Seems like things have been going well for everyone this past week, that's great!
Speaking of the Melting Pot, my husband and I have made reservations there for our actual anniversary on September 27th (eventhough we will be celebrating in Palo as well). When I called to make the reservation, the girl on the phone was a little surprised I was calling so far ahead. I guess I am just used to the WDW ADR craziness.
I am going to finish shopping for my SM today and after that, I am completely done except for saving some money over the next few paychecks and packing! I am going back and forth between getting a gift basket from Shirley, but I can't do that until we are two weeks away anyway, so I will make that decision later. Has anyone done a gift basket? Do you have any recommendations?

Welcome aboard! I'm not sure, but I think the FEs are pretty definitely closed. I know Michelle is no longer adding and keeping track on the website. But we chose not to do the FEs and I know we'll still have a good time!

So, can I surmise by your name that you were a character? Where did you and DH work and when? It'd be fun to know if any of us might have a picture of you guys in our Disney archives (I'm assuming other people have Disney houses with artwork and vacation pics everywhere...it's not just me, right?).

7 weeks from today, we'll be enjoying Key West and, perhaps, a Frozen Key Lime Pie on a Stick (maybe we should call it a FKLPS) or a meal at Sloppy Joe's!

Welcome aboard Ajwaspooh!!! You will love the 7nt'er. I can't imagine sailing with Disney on any less. I mean a 3/4 would be get on and then off...LOL We have ALOT of girls on this cruise rangng mostly from 3-10....ALOT of 9/10 yr olds..

Since no-one else wants to touch the FE question...... I guess I will! We had a cut off of July 20th. Due to people ordering things/supplies, most people have enough for the cut off list. If you want to start a new list of late arrivers, then that could work for ya.
Unfortunately I am done..and packed! and out of suppplies!

Today, Del, Nelia and I went and watched 2 of our friends do a triatholon! Awesome! One did the sprint and one did the olympic one....Holy cow...never in my wildest dreams could I do that! They both did awesome! Swim--bike--run! Shoot I would have been lucky to make it back to shore.... Time to take her out for a drink after that!

And no Heather U are not the only NUT! Maybe you weren't on here when I was redoing my room. I have a family room that has red walls on top and white on the bottom with black base and crown molding and then yellow around the 6 windows and chair molding. So it's like Mickey mouse! and then artwork all over the walls!
SO u are definately not the only one...=)
Well I am off to relax, hot here today and I am exhausted! Feels like I ran...hehe

Hi all. Well, I may not be packed but I definitely have all but 2 items. Got LOTS of great clothes this weekend for the girls. Got shorts for the hubby. Got a few items coming in that I ordered and I have everything else. The only two items I have left is to order my gift "basket" for the girls from Shirley and to pick up a cool "purse" that Trina convinced me I needed.

I ordered from Shirley before and LOVED it! As a matter of fact, one of the first things my eldest said to me was "will I get another gift like last time?" So, we'll be doing another one this time but it will be for both girls.

As my DH and I will be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3rd I wanted to get him something special. We're doing Palo on the 15th and I was planning on giving him my gift then. I found the PERFECT gift! What is it you ask? Wellll, after reading TONS of information online, I found oneshare.com and bought him stock in Disney. I ordered one share for him. So, he'll have 1 share of Disney and, every year he'll get a small dividend check in the mail. So, it's the gift that keeps giving. Very cool!!!!!

on board. It's a real shame that you missed the cut off for the Fish Extenders, but I know that people have been making stuff for the fish extenders and it is simply too late to add other people. I know that I for one can not accommodate anybody else at this late stage. My main gift is a custom item that I ordered as soon as the deadline passed and there is no way to order extra. I am also making some homemade gifts for girls over the age of six and ladies and also for the boys over the age of six and for neither I can get supplies on this short notice. I hope that you will still join in with the meets and other activities.

By the way, this will be our first 7 night cruise as well. We have done the 5 night special cruise on the Magic last year and a 4 night cruise on the Wonder. We have also cheated on the Mouse Boats this year and did a back to back (5 nights and 2 nights) on the Norwegian Jade in May, but this will be our first proper 7 night cruise. The next cruises planned are the two Transatlantic cruises next year.

I can't believe how quickly time goes by. When we booked this cruise on September 9th last year, I thought the day we set sail would never come. I can't wait to see Key West. Count me in for the Key Lime Pie on a stick. Once August is over, time will really fly between me having a weekend away planned with people from the UK Community board and then having to go to Germany for my sister's wedding the week after.

Speaking of Fish Extenders, I am busily working on the little gift that I am making for the girls 6 and up and the ladies. This is proving to be quite involved, but the end result looks stunning. I also found out that the main component for the gift for the boys 6 and up has shipped and should be here hopefully by the middle of the week. So that acts as an encouragement to finish off the other gift.

I also have finally found just the thing for the under 6 crowd. I had a rough idea what I wanted for a while, but today I found the perfect thing. I will order this during the course of the week.

Welcome to the group. This is our 2nd 7 night cruise, and 3rd Disney cruise. You will love it.

The weekend went by too fast. We just got home from the Melting Pot. We went to dinner after church to celebrate my DH's best friend's b-day. This is the same couple that went with us to celebrate DH's birthday there last month. Once again a delicious meal.

Hope to get FE gifts finished very soon. Now to decide if I am going to ship them or take them with me on the plane.

Wow alot of lurkers tonight but everyone has nothing to say!!

Today was ok for me. I am working over everyday cause I took Friday off. My dad is having hip surgery. I am an only child so my mom really needs me there with her. My dad is a little scared and I have to admit that I am too. When I was about 12/13 yrs old my grandfather(dad's dad) died 3 days after surgery in the hospital. I happened to be with my grandma as the nurse told her, so those memories come back now as my dad is going under the knife at the same age range my grandpa did. I know that is what is scaring my dad! So please anyone who has faith please pray for my dad on Friday!

So on a better note!! Who is ready for vacation??!!??! Me soo me! I am setting up for my garage sale. Decided I dont care how much I make I just want it gone. So i put 50 cents on most things...limited too jeans 1.00, dresses and outfits 1.00!! I want it gone I say....LOL
It will all be Disney money....even 50.00 would be lunch and dinner one day before the cruise..
Well I am off to take a shower and relax before I blink and it's morning...

Michelle - I will say a prayer for your Dad. I have know a couple of people recently who have had hip surgery and have done really well. I hope he does as well. By the way, have you gotten a stateroom number yet??? Just wondering???
We are all gettting so excited about the cruise. Alex and Mitchell both started back to school last week and all is going well. Of course, they both are already for Fall Break to go on the cruise.

My Fish Extenders are done and in a box ready to go. I have all my stuff for our Secret Mickey gifts, just have to put on the finishing touches.

By the way, are we ever going to reveal to our Secret Mickey person who we are???

Well, got to go and get Alex in bed, he has school in the morning and I have work.

I am definitely ready for my vacation. There is so much going on all around me at the moment. It is definitely the anticipation of our vacation and especially the cruise that keep me sane.

The components for the boys' fish extender gifts arrived yesterday and they look fantastic. I will put those together on my day off on Thursday. On my way to work, I will check out if I can get little tags to label my fish extender gifts. I printed off the fish extender list and if I can get what I need, I will spend the train journey to and from work writing out the labels.

I just realised that I have another count down going. This month I am hosting the monthly quiz on the Disneyland Paris Planning and Community Board and in September I do the same on the UK Community Board. I am really enjoying this, but the best thing is that once I post the last question for the September quiz, it is time to get on the plane to go to Florida. By the way, you are invited to participate. There is usually a couple of people from the USA that take part. The questions will be mainly about WDW, but there will also be some about DCL and non-Disney parks.

Yes, I used to be "good friends" with Pooh and others. Great memories! I was at MK in 99. I have a couple of photos from / with guests and those hold such dear memories for me. I really enjoyed making that part of the magic!
