We are doing Captain Marvin's to go to the Turtle Farm and Hell. I have read great reviews of them on the boards and have had good customer service over the internet so far. For the island tour, it is $30 per adult (not sure about kids) so you may want to look into that.
From all the great reviews on this thread, I decided to purchase a Canon Powershot. I found a 12.1 MP, 4x stabilization and optical zoom at bestbuy.com for about $170 with free shipping. Thanks for the information! If anyone is looking for a camera, there are some great sales on the website.
Have a great week everyone!
Thanks for the tip. I am considering getting a new camera. I got myself a tiny digital camera last year that fits neatly into my pocket. Since I had this, I really got into taking photos. It is a nice little camera, but it has its limitations. DH really likes it and he has got no camera of his own at present. So I will probably get a new one and he can have my existing one. I have started to look around for a new camera, but maybe it makes more sense to wait until I come to Florida.
Corrina....my DH usually goes along with my corny boarding day shirts because "got to keep mamma happy",,,LOL This year I actually made them more for him. We have the main screen on the back of the shirts and then a small screen on the left chest. Kinda like Nautica shirts. So he is happy with them, plus anything for his girls!!![]()
Well another week half over! Tonight a few girlfriends and I are gonna go out for a drink. I need it after starting work. Speaking of drinking, looks like about 6-8 of us are in for Margarita tasting....has anyone done it before? How much is it? Andres thought maybe $15, anyone know for sure?![]()
I am jealous of u all who's kids go back to school, mine start Aug 31st. Well SYdney does. Nelia goes the 2nd and then full time from the 8th on. They stagger the kindergardners to make it less stressful, so 1 /4 come one day and then the next and so on. I am saying bring on school!!
Well I had to add another piece of luggage so they wouldn't go over 50lbs. and I am thinking of sending my FE goodie bags down ahead of me and then just packing my FE's I made in my luggage!
I am getting ready for a garage sale....trying to set up a week ahead since I dont have as much time to do it!
I hope everyone has a good day, I have rambled enough and need to get dressed for work....take care!
Even though DH has my happiness at heart, this would still not convince him to weat matching t shirts. I had a hard time initially to even convince him wearing the lanyard that a group of people had made for our Cruise Meet Thread for the 5 Night Special Cruise on the Magic last year. It was only once I explained to him that all he would need around the ship is his Key To The World card and that the lanyards were designed to carry those around with you, he got rather enthusiastic about this.
We did the Margarita tasting lat year on the Magic and it was $15 per person. I had also done the Martini tasting and DH the beer tasting. Here is a bit from my trip report from last year on this topic:
We had tickets for the Tequilla and Margerita Tasting and decided to go to the bar where it would take place a bit earlier. By the door we bumped into one of the couples whom we were sharing a table with at dinner. We decided to sit together and chatted until the tasting started. This was quite an experience. I love Margeritas, but have never tried Tequilla on its own. First we tried four Tequillas and then we got to try a classic Margarita and a Strawberry Margerita. The first Tequilla was quite hard work as it tasted very strong, but they got progressively smoother and there was one that I really like. The classic Margarita was nothing to write home about, but I really liked the Strawberry Margarita. The educational part was a bit of a disappointment. I had expected it to be interactive like the Martini tasting the day before, but the person holding the tasting was just talking and talking and lost all of us after about 10 minutes. Still, the company was good and I tried some drinks that I would never have drunk otherwise, so I was glad that I went.
Hi everyone. Gosh, almost an entire page while I was sleeping last night.) LOL
My family is doing the Boatswain excursion. Richard and I did the math and we really weren't saving anything by not using DCL. We also decided just to make sure we got back to the ship on time we'd use DCL.Didn't want to take chances.
As for the t-shirt thing. Our family (along with my in-laws and my BFF Trina and her DH) are all wearing polo shirts for boarding day. I had a graphic made for our families and that will go on the front of the shirt (where the pocket would be). It should look nice.I'm also going to (hopefully) make a regular t-shirt for just the 4 of us for another day (probably for Key West or Grand Cayman).
On a completely separate note, Sara the Hamster has been found! Thank goodness. She's dirty and was probably hungry but otherwise, just fine. Now I don't have to be worried that a rodent is going to run over my feet or something.
Well, it's off to work I go! Have a great day everyone. Kristi
I am glad that the hamster turned up safe and sound. I had the same kind of thing happening with one of my pets in the past. I used to keep pet rats. At the time I was working in a boarding school and had a little apartment in the boarding house. They were fine about me bringing the rats as long as I kept them away from the kids. Well, one of them went missing while I was cleaning their cage. I was worried that he had either got in the bin bag with the dirty bedding and I had thrown him out or that he had somehow gotten into the boarding house. I finally found him three days later when he came out from behind the boiler in the bathroom in search of food.
