Oct 3, 2009 Wester Carribean

Well, I'm finally done getting the house back to normal after taking down all the Christmas stuff. I can't believe we set sail 9 months from tomorrow! I can't wait to get our taxes done, that way I will know for sure we will be able to go on this cruise(and take all three of our kids ;) ). I hope everyone has a happy and healthy new year!

We just got back from Disneyland and had a WONDERFUL time. We spent New Years Eve there and it was great! I have never been there while it's decorated for Christmas and it was so beautiful. We went with friends who go 2 or 3 times a year and they introduced me to all the hidden Mickeys. Being a Disney novice this was new to me and alot of fun.

Now that Christmas and New Years are over I am going to start planning for my first Disney cruise!!! My plan is to lose some weight and do a lot of shopping.

Can anyone tell me when you can start booking the shore excursions? If I can afford it I would love to take Amaya on the dolfin encounter. Which port is best for that?

Happy New Year to all.

Terri

Terri--- I am looking into the dolphin encounter too and Cozumel has one at Ch...something park is nice so I have read. On our web page is all that info on when u can start booking thru Disney(75 days out for 1st cruisers). However I have read people booking on their own thru the place itself, I plan on doing that. It is cheaper and my Nelia(5) is free when I do it myself, but Disney charges for her. Also it seems alot of us are hoping to work off those xtra pounds. I have some to lose but I have gotten down and serious about it so I hope it goes fast!!

I hope everyone has had some good days and get ready we only have 275(I think) days left.....alot to do and so little time:rotfl:

Here are a couple of pictures from when we went to Curacao and Gabi swam with the dolphins. She had an amazing time. It was realllllly expensive so I dont think we will do it this time. She did have a blast though. They were in the water for close to an hour, I highly recommend it!!!:goodvibes

It sounds like there are two different things you can do, actually swim with the dolphins and dolphin encounter. What do you actually get to do with the encounter? I guess I should read more about it and determine the differences and also the price.

Robin - thanks for posting the pictures of Gabi and the dolphins. It looks like she had a great time. I want to do this so bad but we'll have to see...

Welcome back Terri! Riley has been wanting to call Amaya, and I keep telling her she's not back yet...sounds like you had a good time! Good enough to start an addiction? If you aren't there yet the cruise will get you there!;) I've been doing pretty good going to the gym and doing the Comcast Ondemand work outs. Although over the holidays I've gained 3 pounds. Normally I wouldn't even have known that, but I wiegh myself every time I go to the gym--probably shouldn't be doing that :confused3 .

Hi all! Happy New Year!!! I'm so siked that the cruise is just 9 months away. :) I've got some paperwork to do to get Katelin's passport and then I can add her to our cruise. :) Very exciting. I'm also looking forward to doing our taxes as we will get an incredible tax credit this year. :) Thank you adoption! We're finally getting with the program around here. Today we will finish Katelin's room (yes we haven't finished) and then we can get her clothes organized instead of in a pile on the floor. :) I'll be MUCH happier.

I'm hoping to start looking for clothing for the cruise shortly. I'm waiting a tad just to see how fast Katelin will grow. She's in 9 months clothing right now so we're going to wait it out to see when she gets into 12 months clothing before I go shopping. :) I'm really hoping to get some matching dresses for the girls. :) Anyone know of some good (cheap) dress websites?

Well, I've had my few moments to actually type like a normal person with two hands. Now I've gotta get back to the girls. Talk to ya later. Kristi

Hi Kristi---welcome back to our conversations..:flower3: . Ur age gap is bigger the my DD's and I had rough times matching --however places like Children's place, Old Navy, Umm even target at times. and the Disney store..... Hope that helps.:)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful morning. One last weekend and life goes back to normal. Kids go back to school.!! Though I am not looking forward to having to taking the girls to school everyday--I like not leaving in this cold weather....go March/April I will be ok....but I hate the cold!

A little FYI for everyone------January is::MinnieMo pluto: :donald: ::MickeyMo DISNEY month at AAA. I don;t think you have to be a member to profit from the discounts. So if anyone does find any deals please share them with the rest of us!!

I have had good luck shoping the clearance section of disney for matching outfits and t-shirts for us.

Kristi- There is a 7 year age difference between my daughters and I always seem to find matching things at Gymboree. Granted they arent disney themed, but they would be matching. I found some matching dresses at Target too. I love that store:)

My family is booked on this cruise in Oct. I am SO excited to finally be in 2009! This is our first cruise!

My husband (Rob-34) and I (Heidi-34) and my two children, Alan (11) and Anne (7) will be sailing. We are booked in room 6056 and I think the "main" seating for dinner. We are totally in for the FE exchange....new to this but it sounds like fun!

Welcome Heidi and family. This is our 2nd cruise but first Disney Cruise. I can't wait. We just got back from DL so I have the Disney fever now. I will have a 9 year old DD on the cruise and it sounds like there are alot of girls so they should all have a great time.

Terri

:rainbow: Hi Heidi, glad you found us. Just 9 months to go...that doesnt seem sooo bad. I have to go make some more fe gifts so gotta go. Goodness our thread is growing quickly.:upsidedow

Welcome Aboard disneymeister family!! You have come to the right crowd....we are a crazy crowd. Anything you need to know u can find on our web page.(found below in my signature) Are the ages you gave the ages at cruise time? We do have a lot of girls on board...I have 2 myself! The majority range from 7-10.

Welcome Hiedi, and Welcome home Kristi! I'm so excited we now have LESS than 9 months to go! :cool1: Riley's teacher set sail on the 7 day Eastern yesterday, I'm so envious!
Anyway, I didn't get on all day yesterday because Riley has a research project on an Indian tribe that is do tomorrow. She had to do a full report and a diarama, for third grade! :confused3 And she had to do it over the Christmas break! This assignment was assigned by the teacher (she has two) that has no kids, otherwise I don't think it would have been assigned over Christmas break.
Well, I've got to get ready to head off to church, I just wanted to pop in and say "Hi".

I was just thinking that we havent heard from Marianne, LisaG and Ann (beansf) in awhile. Where are you guys? You havent left us...right? "Come out...come out...wherever you are!!" Hmmm maybe Lisa is over on facebook. She did say she was on it alot and it is addicting:goodvibes

I'm still here :thumbsup2

We are back from NC - we went up on the 1st and came back today.

The holidays seemed busy to us this year and the weeks just flew by between Mousefest, my family coming down for MVMCP, and then going to NC for a crop this weekend. Now we are back to normal so I should be around more again.

Hope everyone had a great New Years!
