Welcome WiseOldOwl! Where is TN are you? My parents live there (they moved out there when my dad retired). They are in Erwin, or is it Irwin? Near Johnson City. My oldest DD will be 15 on the cruise. Is yours 14 now or will she be 14 on the cruise?

Merry Christmas to you all I had today off and we headed to town to get some vegetables and some other odds and ends. It was not half as busy as I had expected and loads of places have already started their sales. I managed to get a pair of Mammoth Crocs at a 30% discount so I shall wear them to work tomorrow. I also got a few odds and ends to go with DH Christmas present at a really good price.
I am on the early shift over Christmas. We will have a bring and share buffet at work tomorrow and I will bring my famous pasta salad which I have yet to make. DH will cook the Christmas dinner tomorrow and when I come home from work, we will have Christmas dinner and unwrap the presents. Tonight we just had some finger food and Gluehwein (a German hot spiced red wine)

Welcome, Jamie!! I too am wondering where in TN you are from. I am originally from Murfreesboro.
Kim, the construction part of the house is complete. Patrick's furniture was delivered last week. We are still trying to get the little "stuff" back in place and put away. So far, it has cost over $25,000. We are still not finished with the insurance co. yet. The above was just construction and repairs. We still have to settle on the furniture and "stuff" that was ruined. Hopefully we will get that finished next week.
I just got back from my final run to Walmart. The weather here is in the low 60's with rain and storms on the way. It is way too warm for Dec. I'm afraid we will have some bad weather the way it feels outside.

Well, all you east coasters better be asleep or Santa is going to pass your house over. I sent Riley and Bailey off to bed and told them that Santa had already been to all your houses. They are very excited for you! I have strict instructions from Bailey that if I see Santa's head coming out of our fireplace I have to "run upstairs and go to sleep FAST".

I know why I am on here at 6:19am. Well I usually am up waiting with the video camera for the kids first reaction...ok and Sydney is usually up by now so here I sit. Santa has left his traditional one gift unwrapped and set up and I love to hear their comments but I am sitting ...waiting....waiting.
I am sure it won't be long. I guess Sydney got up at 1am(must have known u were on Andrea) and had to pee. So she came and asked DH if it was time yet to open...he just said no
and go back to bed. I was out..usually I hear every move my DD's make but I never knew she was up. Well ok I will go back to waiting
...since no-one is here to talk to.( wake up ANDREA!!!!) I will return with updates of festivities...can't wait to hear about ur mornings....tata for now!

We were up and had all of our gifts open by 7. DH got me a really neat Mickey watch. Apparently, he got it while we were on the ship and I was even there in the shop when he bought it. DH's parents live in Birmingham, so they are getting ready to head back there. I am lucky that my parents live only about 15-20 minutes away. I made a big brunch this morning and then sat down and took a nap. The kids and I are going to make cookies later.
I have to admit. I thought about the people who are on the Magic today, wondering what it would be like to be on the ship for the holidays. DS(10) said very quickly that they had a day at sea today. Goes to show you how much fun even a 10 year old has and the details they remember.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got everything they were dreaming of. I didn't get much because my big gift is next October!! Amaya's big gift was a keyboard. She is taking piano lessons and has had to practice on a "toy keyboard" that she got 3 years ago so she was very happy. The last thing I gave her to open was a Disney gift card. She looked at me kind of funny and I asked her, where do you think you can spend that and she said "the Disney Cruise". I agreed that yes she could keep it until then but that she could spend it somewhere else and she said "but we're not going to Disneyland"...and then the surprise...I told her "yes we are, we're going for New Years" She was very excited, especially since we are going with friends that we get together with every New Years Eve. We leave on Tuesday, can't wait! I guess her keyboard was her 2nd favorite gift

Our day went well too. It was very quiet, just us, then Ryan went to work last night. I got a new fridge for Christmas 
and lots of new food 
. Riley got a digital video camera. She is always sneaking off with our camera and taking video with it, so she got her own. It's funny though, her favortie gift was a $10 webzinz golden retriever, she was on the computer all day yesterday "playing" with it. Bailey got the Disney digital camera, the one that looks like Mickeys hands are on the camera, it's so cute! Ashley got an i-pod dock/alarm clock. Maybe now she'll be able t hear me when I am screaming her name at the bottom of the stairs, because she wont have headphones in her ears.
Terri--I am so excited for you guys! I bet Amaya is really excited, I'm glad she finally knows. Something was said yesterday about Disneyland and I wanted to tell Riley so bad, but I wasn't sure if they would see eachother before you left and I didn't know when you were going to tell her. She asked if Amaya could come over yesterday and when I told her it's Christmas and she's with her family she said, "she could be with our family for Christmas" I thought I would have to tell you.

Good Morning.......I hope everyone had a great Chrismas day! We enjoyed ourselves at home & then at my families gathering of 18....boy everyone talks...and it's loud. Somehow we still hear each other!
Today is Saturday..the kids are wanting to go back to school. It's gonna be a freakish day here of 60*. Unfortunately the ice is melting and it's soo wet and muddy out that the kids can't even enjoy it. Thank God Sydney has a bday party so she is going skating...then she has one New Yrs Eve too....sleep-over..hmm wonder how I can get rid of the other DD... .j/k
I have been reading Kristi's blog and following her journey. I am so excited for them. Seems that they will be getting home sometimes today.
Congrats Kristi...for whenever you get a chance to relax and read all this...we have been busy since u have been gone!!

Well I did it! I made a cruise purchase, two actually. Our Mervyns is closing in a few days so I thought I would pop over and see if they had anything. Well I got a formal dress for Bailey for $8 and a casual dress for me for dinner for $5. So, now I can say I've begun making purchases for our cruise. We still don't have our FE, but I will post a picture when we get it.

Riley is going over to Amayas today, and Ashley is gone for the weekend, so I feel you Michelle...there's always one left!

I had a great Christmas even though I spent a few hours each day at work. Unfortunately the heating at work broke down and nobody could be reached over Christmas to fix it so we were so cold. So I appreaciated the nice warm down quilt that I got for Christmas even more.
We had our own version of Black Friday yesterday. Most shops opened yesterday (some as early as 7 am) and offered discounts of up to 70%. We watched footage from one of the local malls at work during lunch and it was just insane. I thought the staff at one shop would get trampled to death by the people that surged through the doors at opening time.

Hmm Robin doesn't that sound like Andrea doesn't want anymore photos from us...thats not very nice.
I hope everyone had a good Xmas. Del and I really don't buy for each other cause we just get stuff when we have some money...not often Sydney got an AG closet for her AG doll clothes, money, and tons of AG things. Nelia got a doll double stroller,money and tons of AG(american girl) things as well. Next year some of their xmas is the cruise... My tree is down and my house back to normal...well kinda. I just felt cluttered so the tree needed to go so I could make more room. Today my goal is to reorganize the girls bedrooms, wash bedding, and unfortunately watch our Browns get their butts handed to them by the Steelers. VAL U LIKE THAT HUH? 
Val i think is at WDW right now rooting for the steelers.
I hope you all have a good Sunday. I know doesn't feel like it. I am ready for the kids to go back to school and get back to my normal schedule..kinda
