The camera I bought last year was for out cruise this past May so I totally understand black friday for good deals - not neccessarily Christmas related.

It is a crazy shopping day!! :)
it is the day after Thanksgiving. all the stores open up early . ( some as early as 4am.) There are great deals on shopping. a lot of sale items are on sale only for a few hours and many stores only get a few of one item in.

Thanks, we have sale days too where normal people suddenly become crazed shoppers who will hurt you if you are between them and the item they seek, bit like getting between me and caffeine in the morning I suppose.

Normally this is new year or just after christmas but looks like the sales will start early ths year as nobody wants to part with their hard earned cash.

Well enjoy your shopping everyone

Hey Everyone, just checking in to see what was happening. Everyone must be having a busy weekend. I am just getting ready to go shopping myself. We got lake effect snow here yesterday, so not much movement, but now that the roads are all plowed, I can get to the mall. Everyone have a great day!!!!:)

sorry I've been away. I am going to catch up on reading today! I have been planning a surprise 40th birthday party for Marty and it took all my time! We had it this weekend in Gatlinburg and had a blast. His best friends from high school were able to come down and I think that might have been the biggest surprise.

Since I was able to pull that off, I think I am going to try and surprise my kids with a trip to Disney World for spring break. I have always said I would NEVER go over spring break but he 4+3 deal includes our spring break week so I am thinking that the crowds won't be too bad. I guess we'll see.

Good morning group. Where is everyone? I know Andrea is on her way to Laura's. Was anyone else traveling for Thanksgiving? We are just going to my friend's house that day. It will be nice. Well, gotta get kids off to school. Talk to everyone later:)

We're here, we're here :cool1: (at Laura's) ...and we're COLD! :cold: Laura if you're reading this...I did have enough blankets last night, and don't you dare tell anybody how many blankets, and sleeping bags, I had on my bed.
We are going to try and print out our door magnets this week, I'm sure one of us will let everyone know how it goes.
So, am I the only one of this group that traveled 3,000miles and lost 40 degrees for Thanksgiving? It's been quiet on the board, so it would seem that everyone is busy getting ready for the Holiday.

Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to head down to Virginia for THanksgiving. We're spending it with my Dad and step-Mom and my bro. We're working on cleaning up and getting packed. We actually leave tomorrow night after our church service. Hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving. And for those of you who head out on Black Friday, may you have a blast and may you find everything you need/desire at really low prices! :) Still not sure if my hubby and I will head out to people watch but will let you know what happens when we get back. We're not due home til Saturday sometime so don't expect to hear from me til Sunday or Monday. Take care! Kristi

Good Morning everyone....wow we are a quiet bunch lately , aren't we?
Nothing much new here. I have just been researching on bfads.net and looking for anything I would like to get. Nothing I need , I just love the excitement and the adrenaline rush that morning. My friend and I are going out about 4am...gonna start with a starbucks, I am assuming they will be open early that morning, then to walmart...she wants a GPS for the hubby and honestly I just want the track suits for the girls...they can wear them for dance!

Well Andrea how many blankets did you have ..........5? Liteweight!!! Thats ok...i don't wanna wear a jacket on BF cause it's to bulky so I am wearing long undies to try and stay warm. I just pray this year it doesn't snow or rain in the morning!

Well I hope everyone has made it to their destinations safely and will load up on turkey and the fixins. TTYL

We will be off to the airport shortly to fly to Paris. The packing is done, I have my trading pins and I checked us in online. Can't wait for my Disney fix.

Corinna

Corinna, I hope you guys have a wonderful time! It's Disney, so I'm sure you will! I'm going through park withdrawl since I haven't been since last year, and don't know when we will be going next. :sad2:
Michelle, I hope you have fun on Friday, I think you are crazy :rotfl: , but I hope you have fun! I'm not telling you how many blankets I had, you will make fun of me! And I'm not telling you that on top of all the blankets was a sleeping bag. Laura didn't mention that she lives in a old New England house with old windows and it feels like standing outside when you are next to a window, so it's not my fault that I'm so cold, OK it's not entirely my fault! We are all having fun though, and Laura and I snuck away and worked on our magnets last night.
Well, I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving, and a successful shopping day!

I am so excited ....Starbucks is open at midnight. So they will be my first stop!!! carmel Machiioto(sp) non fat .....Mmmm I am so lookin forward to that! :surfweb:

Andrea.....Ok enough with blamin the poor house. :rotfl: Wimpy wimpy wimpy! I can stand the cold but I don't like it anymore then you do. I am extremely impressed with the time change that you were up this mornin....wow! :yay:

I will have fun friday but would have more fun if I didn't just realize the funds are lower then I had hoped! :scared1: Taking down those trees killed us....glad they're gone but wow...I might have to miss out on MNSSHP next yr. I wanna pay everything for the cruise with our taxes and they shrunk w?tree removal. Owell all I need is to be on the boat!!:cheer2:

I hope you all have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving and even in this tight economy you can find something to be thankful for. I am thankful for Oct 3, 2009 oh and my family too of course...:rotfl:

I hope every one had a restful, peaceful Thanksgiving day. DH & I had a wonderfully quiet afternoon together. After breakfast, I mean lunch, at 11:30 with the fam, we took a long ride in the country, stopped & saw a movie popcorn:: & ate a late supper. First time in a long time we have had a chance to spend that much time together.
Shopping mania is here. Local McD's opened at 4 AM & Cracker Barrel opened at 5. There were lines outside of Best Buy @ 7 PM last night! I came into work & got paid to surf the net most of the day:surfweb: . No clients coming in or calling. Very quiet. I needed the break. Got some great stuff @ Disney online. Can't say what I got beause Kristi won't be surprised at :santa: Christmas.
As soon as I remember our stateroom # & find some pix of us I'll get them posted.
:grouphug: Until I get back, I wish every one a Merry Christmas.

Yeah... I love Black Friday!!! :woohoo: Let's see where to begin. Yesterday on the way out of town I noticed people lined up at Best Buy at 5:00am Thurs morning!! :scared1: Crazy nuts in 20* weather... We had a nice Thanksgiving. Then this morning at 3am my girlfriend picked me up and we went to Kohl's, I was shopping for mom who just can't handled the wee hours. Luckily I only needed a 18 qt Roaster pan, so my friend stood in line I grabbed the pan and we were outta there in 15 minutes! Then to Meijer where she needed a GPS and I needed micro sd cards ($4.99) woohoo:banana: . Then Walmart...holy lines.....OMG the hole length of the store. We grabbed what we needed and slithered our way up through the purse to a shorter line ...:rotfl2: .sneaky we are! Then to Staples, Lowe's , Target,Dick's Sporting Goods, and then to Qdoba for food. (9am) Then we thought --kid and DH free so off to the mall to walk freely. Home by 11:45am...oh boy needed a nap but still plugging along....I think I will die soon. I scored almost everything I wanted to, nothing I had to have but got bargains and I am all about getting a steal of a deal.!! :yay:

Well off to figure out dinner. I am thinking pizza and turkey leftovers tomorrow. We'll see. i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and Andrea...hope your freezing...

Well, the girls and I are back home. We had a really good time! We made it home pretty easiely, except our bags didn't make it with us and we got pulled over on the way home from the airport. Luckily the officer just wanted a hug and a kiss from all the occupants of the car and I got out of a ticket :thumbsup2 . Laura made some progress on our magnets. We got about half of them printed and the rest saved and ready to print. They turned out really cute, thank Laura :) . On Wed. we (my parents, the girls, Jason and I) took the train into Boston and did some sightseeing. It was a lot of fun! The funniest thing was that Jason kept telling everyone that he "took the day off", because he didn't go to school that day. Then on the train home in the evening while the girls slept Jason read the paper. He was like a little business man, it was so cute!
The high here today is going to be 70, so Riley is back in her shorts and flip flops, and I'm still craving a fire! I did make it out yesterday for some shopping. I am now done shopping for Ashley and Bailey, I just have Riley to do. It is going to be a very light Christmas this year, so shopping will be easy. Which is good for me, cuz I hate to shop.
Well, I hope everyone enjoys what's left of their Holiday weekend!

Here is another little photo I liked...just messed with the graphics myself. I wanted to write this on our logo but graphics over Mickey ears kinda ruins it. Just was watching Peter Pan and I live the whole pixie dust saying...kinda fits since the have pixie dust at the end of the cruise!

Andrea....glad u made it home ok....Everyone must be still gone or just getting home cause boy our thread looks awful....LOL
