Oct. 29th 2006 Halloween anyone?

Hi all! I am leaving Mississippi tomorrow, so now my thoughts and packing will be on the cruise :cool1: The kids finally went back to school today :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I think they were almost as excited as I am! They won't be as thrilled as soon as homework starts.

Ok, so I thought I read in the Disney brochure about the fact that after December 2006, everyone would need passports to cruise. Then, today on WDBO, I heard Clark Howard talking about due to Homeland Security Issues, everyone, even infants, needs a passport to go on a cruise "even to Mexico or Canada". They didn't mention the Bahamas specifically, but I'm wondering if a passport is required for this cruise or not. Can anyone give me the "official" ruling on that or should I go ahead and call DCL? Thanks, and hope everyone is doing great today!

Howdy neighbor!

Yep, you need a passport for EVERY country now.

Wake,

you DO NOT need a passport for this cruise. It takes affect jan 2007 where when ever you leave our great country, you NEED a passport. So for our Oct 2006 cruise you DO NOT need a passport! Only original birth certificates and ID's. (double check on this)

Yes, I stand corrected. For this cruise you don't need a passport, but any cruise after 1/1/07, you will need one. I think I was listening to the same show. He said to apply now for a passport as it will be super busy this winter because everyone will be applying for one.

Thanks Labmom97!
