Oct. 29th 2006 Halloween anyone?

Hey guys,

I hate to even mention this, but I MAY be switching to the 7 day Eastern that leaves on the 28th

I was looking through our Sunday paper and there was an ad for Florida Residents. $599 for 7 day DCL. I looked it up on my TA's website, and there it is $2,148 for 3 of us. About $40 more total! (not $40 per person, but $40 for the 3 of us!)

That's taxes and all port charges included.

I will be calling my TA tomorrow for more info, but if this is right, we may switch. I called DCL and they said there is an extra $50 charge pp to switch, but still, that's a pretty good rate this close to sailing. I will also have to see if our insurance is transferable without penalty, too.

So, Sadly I may jump ship but I have never been on a 7 day, I don't want to pass it up.

I'll let you all know what we decide.

misseulalie, that is great for you! i would be jumping ship too...no offense to any here of course! we are hoping to book for our first 7 day cruise while onboard this cruise! of course, we won't sail til 2008, but that's ok!

It for the same cat 9's. Mid-ship even! We'll know by tomorrow. The big thing is if we have to cancel and re-book insurance. That would end up being $200 additional, plus the $50 switch fee per person. So the savings wouldn't be much.

Hey, your local.. you should check out the rate. It's Saturday to Saturday so we figure, what's missing work/school on Friday? We've already missed M-T with the 4 day.

Hello all,

Well, I am sad to say that I just switched to the 7 day Eastern.

It was only $50 pp to switch and I was able to switch the travel insurance without penalty.

I just couldn't pass up the deal. If anyone is local, they just posted resident rates on Friday(which my TA just told me)

You guys are great and I hope you all have a fantastic time! I hope your Trick or treating goes well.
