We could plan something else!!! You name it. ok everyone needs to put on their :artist: creative thinking caps and come up with a catchy phrase so we can put them on a pumpkin magnet so we can tell our DIS cabins from the others!!!!

Spooky Sailing

I love it! :rotfl2: Got the costumes at buycostumesdotcom. I'm waiting for them to be delivered, hope they fit! Let's meet on deck 10 before the sail away party, that way we won't miss it. Don't know about you guys, but I plan on being one of the first on the ship :) For those of us staying at the residence, what time is good for everyone? I want to take my kids to the dinasaur store in Cocoa, it looks really neat, and I have two dioasaur freaks in my bunch!!!!!

Love the sign. we could pitch for some money for the pumpkin magnet. If we all brought a bag of candy, the kids would have a ball. Maybe a meet at residence inn after the dinner hour so we can sit around the pool with our sodas or something.

Hi! everybody,
Count me in for the TOT. it sounds like alot of fun. I just heard fron one of my customers, that Johnny Depp was on the magic for the opening of the movie. She got her pictures taken. He was dressed as jack. We missed it.

Steph,
I'm sending my money tomorrow.i'll let you know what I want on it.

Talk to you all later

Hello again. I have a couple questions, being a first-timer on a cruise. First, I can't figure out if I need to sneak on a few 12-packs of Coke. Some people say that sodas cost money onboard, and some of the literature from Disney says that sodas are complimentary. Have they changed their policies related to sodas? Just asking because, well, I'm addicted to Coke. Yep, it's a fact, and I'm no longer in denial :-)

Second, not being privy to the goings on on the ship, we're not sure when/if to make reservations to have our daughter (2) stay in Flounder's Reef and our son (3) in a kids' program while we have a quiet night one evening. If we want to try that Palo place, will they feed the kids where they're being watched or do we have to arrange for that before we go to dinner as a couple?

Next, I tried to reserve (or at least see how much it would cost) one of the suites (via disney's site) and went as far into the future as I could, but every one was apparently booked already. How would I go about getting one of those suites WAY in advance? Do you have to get those through a travel agent or through Disney via phone or???

Lastly, are there any excursions/sights/events that we 'can't miss' on our first voyage? I know our boy will be having lots of fun in that Mickey pool, but I just realized last night that they won't allow swim diapers in any of the pools, so our daughter won't be able to swim unless she speeds up her training in the next couple months! I'm bummed that she'll only get to play in the 'splash fountain' that they have.

Anyways, thanks for the input. I've learned a lot from this forum already. Take care....Bill

Glad to see that you are sailing on the Halloween cruise too! WELCOME! Don't bother sneaking coke on board, it's available 24 hours a day on deck 9, along with other coke products, juice milk, teas, and coffee. Just bring a big cup so ya don't have to refill as often :rotfl2: Can't help you much on the other questions, because we have never used flounders or the clubs, but I know they do feed them in the clubs. We did the swimming with dolphins, and it was fantastic! Not this time though. I think for the Walt or Roy suite, you need to be put on a waiting list that from what I've heard can be quite a long wait! Start a thread on the dis and I'm sure you will get the correct scoop. Be sure to join us for the meet on deck 10!
Sue

Yes, you should book Flounders now because the time available fills up quickly. We booked Flounders for when we are at Dinner, so we can enjoy our dinners without a toddler! You can book up to 10 hours and then once you get on the ship, you can book more hours. Since we have early seating, we booked from 5:30-8pm each night, then 2 hours in the morning when I have my spa appointment. The feed them lunch, but not dinner (I think) We will feed her dinner at 5pm (hot dogs, pizza, chicken tenders; not very healthy but we get to eat in peace for once!)

Suites fill up very quickly, you have to fax your request to Inventory Control (I don't have the number, but I'm sure someone can provide it here on the boards!)

Like Tink11 said ,coke is available but we are pepsi drinkers so we are bringing our pepsi's on board with us. we also are going to try to be on the ship early. The first day I know is hectic but , does anyone have any ideas for a meet other than deck 10?
also if we get all the room numbers we ( or I) can print up a map for the kids to use to go TOT.

wow! i'm going to make sure to start reading the thread everyday! we are all starting to post a bit more!!! that means it's getting closer and closer!
hope everyone is doing well!

I think a map would be good. I am glad you volunteered rosemary.... LOL....not knowing anything about the ship i think i would get you lost... LOL
I am cabin 6064 and just in case my sister doesnt post her's she is 8040.

a map is a great idea! We are in rooms 2122 and 2124. The cruise is getting closer and I'm getting soooo excited!!! The pirate costumes came yesterday for the kids and they fit! One less package I have to return.

Well, how is this going to work? Just like at home where one parent takes the kids trick or treating and the other parent sits home to pass out candy?

I'll have to recruit my father to pass out candy. (Since DH is not coming on the cruise)

I'm in 2070, I don't remember my parents room, I'll have to check. About 1 week prior to sailing, we should double check all the room numbers because people may get upgraded (please, us!) or switch rooms.

Also, we can get a print out of the decks, and have each room highlighted so it will be easy to navigate.

I will not be able meet at the hotel the night before, as we are local, but we will be at the DIS meet on Deck 10.

Stephieann, the magnet samples in frame/reply # 1205 are fantastic. Please accept a compliment :thumbsup2.

looking back.....

this thread has been around for a full year now!!!! woohoo!! it seems so long ago! And now the cruise is getting very close!! We leave in only 11 weeks to go to MNSSHP!!! Can't wait!

:cool1: :cool1:

Well, our Airfare is DONE.. got in on united at $630.00 round trip for the 4 of us. :cool1: Im sure we could of found something a tad cheaper.. but I was afraid to lose this good rate! We also got the car rental done, and now just have the hotel to book... Still waittin on my sis in law for some info b4 we do that one, but it looks like we might be staying at Country Inn and Suites. I still havent recieved my pass port. My DH and kids all have their original bc. Mine was a questionable one.. so we decided id be the only one who would need to get a PP and save the other $$ on getting theirs. Really feel like im forgetting things to get done "in time"....Anyone think of anything else??

Thanks!!
