Just wanted to say that I just started reading the threads tonight. I am soo glad I did! I will also be on the Disney Wonder during Halloween and we are staying at Disney for 3 nights before our cruise. This is our first cruise ever and we are very excited!!! We will be doing the MNSSHP on Friday, Oct 26th. It will be the three of us (husband and daughter). Daughter is 9. I am hoping she will find friends to be with on the cruise. She is very shy and so I worry that when she goes to the Oceaneer's club, she won't like it. Halloween is our favorite holiday and we can't wait to go!

Welcome! Glad you found this thread! We're also flying down 10/24. I guess I'd better not tell DH about the launch on the 23rd, or I'd have to deal with changing flights too!! Where are you staying at WDW? We're going to be at Carribean Beach Resort.

We'll be at POFQ. Stayed at CBR for our honeymoon in '99 and really liked it.

Also how many kids and adults are going. Do we need to up our kid count with 2jaz joining?

We'll have 2 adults (Joe & Angie) and DD (Kateri, 3). Not sure if we'll do the pre-tot yet or not. I'll talk it over with DW and the other half of our party and post a yes/no sometime this weekend. We will plan to make it to the meet and greet on day 1 for sure.

Anyone have details about the family tot on board? Is there an official date/time for it? Is the official tot just Disney handing out treats, or do lots of people bring things to hand out of their own rooms? What kind of stuff is everyone thinking for the pre-tot bags - the same kind of stuff we'd hand out at home (mini candy bars, etc)?

Can't tell you much about what goes on at the tot on board, sorry. I do know I am sticking to whatever the ship does and the Dis tot. Not sure I want to try and go from room to room, not much hall space for alot of people. Also, going to MNSSHP at WDW so amount of candy is no big deal. DS doesn't eat alot, and usually end up trying to give some away or throw away. I read a navigator from last year, I believe there was a little dance party type thing in the club for the kids, DS will have fun there.

As for our tot, I found a few cheesy kids toys, like a top, etc... and some candy. Just like any tot, not everything is appropriate for every age or kid, but tries to get things that would please the majority.

No matter what, I am sure kids of all ages wil have fun !!

ok just dropping a quick note, i am out of town with dh's 20 yr class reunion. i will be back at home tomorrow night and i will update all the info and move it closer to the current end of the thread. i have not read everything so i hope everyone is updated on the meets. we are less than a month away.. well gotta run in the hotel and i have to study a little for my online course before i go to bed. hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!!

The onboard ToT is organized by DCL. You will have a map to guide you through it. You will not go to anyones cabin...it will all be areas of the ship with DCL staff waiting. I have not done it but my sis and her family did it last year. HTH

Who are some of your favorite Disney characters? Do you have pierced ears? Are you into scrapbooking? I think you like taking pictures.

Right now our whole household is sick. DS has so much sinus congestion , so took him to md thur and he was just starting w/ ear infection. So got an antibiotic, and also got his flu shot, prior to sailing. Well, he ended up having some reaction to the shot, not sure if it is allergic, or infection, since he started antibiotic at same time. About 1/3 of his thigh has a rash like thing that is hot to the touch and not going away. Had to take him to clinic on Sat cuz it got so big. They told me to use benadryl, but not doing much, so it will be back to md on mon.
DH has congestion and soar throat.
I have alot of congestion, cough, lost my voice and now either my head is so full of congestion it is literally coming out my eye or I have pink eye. YIKES !!
I hope we get all this illness out of our system now, and soon !! Every one pray for us !!
Hope noone else gets ill before cruise.
On a lighter note, I mostly lost my voice from cheering at my cousins highschool football game fri night. It was a great game, they won !! Go Cougars !! Also, my other cousin was announced homecoming queen at halftime !! So there was a super amount of cheering by my family. Trevor loves the football and thought it was neat his cousin was a princess (w/ her crown.)

I cannot believe it is Oct 1st !! I have a boatload of things to do to get ready. I have to assemble tot treat bags, make some door decor. Finish up Trevor's costume, organize, fill out forms, get stuff out that must be packed, and finally pack !! Better remember some money too...
for us it is 23 days and counting for vacation to begin !! Yipee !!

Yay!!!!!!!! I can't believe it's finally October!!!! My DD3 has been telling us for many months - since about February - that she wants to go back to WDW. So we've been telling her "you have to wait until October". So now I'm afraid she's going to find out it's October, and expect us to hop a plane this very instant, LOL!

Hey, for those of you ladies who scrapbook, do you have a Cricut machine? I just got the new princess cartridges, and they are SO amazing!!!! I still use the Mickey ones a lot too. Way too much fun!

I have some rearranging to do so i can get my scrapbooking stuff organized. I still have not scrapped my first cruise yet. I know shame on me. I dont have a cricut machine.. what is it.

Oh goodness. I probably shouldn't even tell you what a Cricut machine is because then you'll want one, LOL! It's a die-cut machine that cuts things out for you. Put that way, it doesn't sound too exciting. But there are 4 Disney cartridges on the market for it (which I have), so I can cut out all different kinds of Mickey's, Minnies, Plutos, Goofy's, Cinderellas, Belle's, Snow Whites, and on and on and on in any size I want them. I'll see if I can post a picture of something I've made with it. It's the most fun invention EVER!!!!!!!

So the Mrs. Potts, the Cinderella and Mickey were all made with my Cricut - plus a lot of the other little things were too, but the Disney stuff is the most fun and amazing. It does send your scrapbooking into a whole new world, plus I make a ton of cards and stuff. Ok, sorry - I hope I didn't make you want one, LOL!
