Oct 24th, 4 nights on the Wonder... who's in

Yea! More FE groupies! Thanks for the Halloween info - do you think this will be a separate party than the Pirate party?

I will for sure bring costumes for the kids, but undecided as to us parents. I feel like I already have a lot to bring but it could be fun (if I can think of a good costume....)

Amy

PFlamingo - I am counting too!

Hmm... gotta think that one over. Last year they had trick or treating on the cruise, but not all the rest.

We're going to MNSSHP on the 28th, but I wasn't planning on bringing my costume on the cruise. My folks live in Orlando and we leave our non-cruise stuff there and swap out b/w the cruise and parks portions of our trips. I was just planning to wear a head scarf, t-shirt and shorts for the Pirate party. Now I'll have to decide if I want to bring the whole MNSSHP get-up, too.

Thanks for posting this and the FE link, DLBDS!

Welcome aboard Andrea!

(28 days to go - not that I'm counting. :bounce: )

You're welcome for the info! My daughter and I are trying to decide what to do about her dressing up or not. How young does a "young guest" have to be to trick-or-treat? My DD is 13. Is she too old to do this or is it like MNSSHP where everyone can participate, young and old alike?
:confused3

I would hope every "kid" would get to participate regardless of age. That was awesome when we went to MNSSHP a few years ago. I may bring a costume I have from last year. DH is undecided. DD is going as yet another Disney princess, but I think since she'll be 10 soon this may be the last year for the princess thing :sad1:

Thanks for the welcomes and we are sooooo excited. Wish payday was tomorrow instead of Friday so we could get this thing booked!

In all honesty, I'm not the biggest fan of Halloween because of the costumes. Totally stresses me out (I know, I'm weird). Love it for my DD and she will be really excited about all the festivities, but I will def not be dressing up. This is the first year though that she doesn't have a costume picked out - Oh the stress :sad2: Guess we should start hitting the costume stores!!

Both my girls will be dressed up as Pirates!!!!!! It is going to be fun, as the older one has lived and dreamed Princesses her whole life. The baby, is definitely not a girly girl/princess, so she should do ok with the pirate look. As far as me and Misti, more than like wont dress up at all...Just regular clothes.

We trick-or-treated last year. We saw a few other adults doing it, too, but they actually had kids w/ them. ;) I think a 13yo would be fine joining in.

We'll probably skip that this year and do the adult activities instead.

26 days to go!! :Pinkbounc

Well, we all have our costumes now. Decided to do it after all. My daughter is going to be something scary (without the mask), I'm a "pirate beauty" and my mother is a "gothic maiden". My mother and I have never dressed for Halloween as adults before. I hope we have fun with it!

oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!!!!!
:banana::yay::banana::yay::banana:

So do we have the final count for our FE exchange? There is one stateroom with no info on the list (LydiaAch?).

I'm sooo excited - gotta order my FE stuff, make my FE, lose 20 lbs (okay, not gonna happen). I. CAN'T. WAIT!!!!

How 'bout you?

The FE list is up-to-date (11 participants). I sent LydiaAch a private message and emailed her awhile back. Never heard anything. :confused3 Obviously, if we don't hear back from her before the cruise, there'll be no way to deliver to her stateroom. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if she comes back. Hope all is well in her part of the world.I'm getting excited but all the little things, that are still to be done before the cruise, kinda steal the excitement a bit.

i like the sound og the halloween activities onboard...they have been critisised in the past for not bothering too much
We are going to MNSSHP on the 22nd ( the day we arrive...LONG day thats going to be:eek:), but because of timing and luggage allowances ,we where going to keep the dressing up to a minimum...(i have cat mask so far:rotfl:)...but a trip to WalMart might be i order before we get on the cruise:thumbsup2
might have to re-think this one!
Pirates where also being 'paired back' due to luggage allowence,we normally go all out ( well..ish...draw the line at boots and long coats) but had decided on T-shirts ( already in the suitcase) and goofy/mickey hats ...also already packed). Saving our REAL outfits for next summer...we are planning to do alot of Christmas shopping on this trip, so need to save all the weight we can:rolleyes1

btw...just noticed..
my name doesnt appear on the FE list. Its Maria:cutie:

Ok, the days are going by fast and slow at the same time! I am putting the finishing touches on the FEs and really want to be done with packing all the non-clothes this week, but we'll see. I always say that but somehow it takes longer than I think!

We are getting so excited! Still working on the Halloween costumes....who knows what the kids will end up being - we'll see.

The countdown is on!

I still have to shop for jeans. Lost weight and my jeans, that didn't fit properly to begin with, are constantly falling down. I can't stand it anymore sooooo.... gotta go shopping before the cruise. Not looking forward to it.... :sad2:

Now we have numbers I bought the first of our FE gifts today and the girls & I are planning the rest.:banana: Three weeks!!!!

DD11 will be dressing up as a pirate - we don't do Halloween so we won't be dressing up and I'm not sure how many of the Halloween activities we'll do - sure the party will be good fun anyway!

I'll get working on the speadsheet and let you know when it's done. :)

Time is going to fly, now! I've been "between jobs" and I got called Thursday to go back to my former school (I taught middle school math for 11 yrs - long story) to "sub" for at least the next two weeks. Seriously need the money, but I was looking forward to having the time to get all our stuff together without rushing. But now,... EEEEKKKK!!!:scared1:

Oh, but I can't wait!! This is going to be so much fun!!

Okay, back to getting school stuff together so I'll have time to get our cruise stuff together. Now I know how Cinderella felt trying to get that dress done for the ball! ;)

Will DCL mail luggage tags to us or is there a place to print them off online? We printed them off for our Carnival cruises. I'm also wondering if I should ban DD from getting the mail for the next 2.5 weeks, as we're trying to keep this a surprise, and I'm worried we'll get something in the mail that will tip her off.
