Oct 2014 - HHN & Diagon Alley

Thanks Wilma-bride. I think that's now the plan, just get a ticket on the gate when we go, no real benefit in purchasing before hand, unless get a cashback offer somewhere etc.

We'll just be visiting Epcot this time I think, GF has never been plus its food and wine so perfect chance to have a day getting merry walking around the park.

Only other park we would probably visit is Animal Kingdom but so expensive for two days at Disney, plus after few days at Universal and IOA plus possibly Sea World / Busch Gardens we won't have many days left for Disney parks.

Good to know about the adding of hopper, maybe could do AK morning then move to Epcot for the afternoon / evening, choose a day with later hours etc.

:thumbsup2

The only advice I would give, if you only have a day, is to avoid Friday, Saturday, Sunday as it will be busier and more lines for the booths etc.

I'm going at a similar time to you I think! I've done the past 2 years of HHN and I love it! I tried howl o scream last year at BG and I loved that too. The street actors are much better at HHN in my opinion but I think HOS houses seemed longer and as the staff were breaking the line into smaller groups you seemed to get more of the scares than the continuous single line at HHN. If you can get to both, then do it! I know BG always seem to do a special house too where you pay extra for a more intense experience and I'm plucking up the courage to give whatever they do a go this year haha

Just this morning booked my next trip to Florida.

This will be my 12th visit and my OH 4th visit. Returning specifically for HHN24 and Diagon Alley, haven't been to HHN since 2005 my OH hasn't been in Oct before so will be first experience of horror nights.

:rotfl2:

Now can start planning what to do and seek out some bargains hopefully...

Car hire and park tickets next on my list.

We love HHN, we've done 3 (1995/2001/2006) - i don't think i could do another one as its too scarey for me :lmao: this october we are returning with our DD6 so unfortunately (or maybe secretly relieved) won't be doing it this time. Just MNSSHP which we also love. We also can't wait to see WWofHP. Have a great time :goodvibes

Is it really that scary? Lol I'm a big scaredy cat and generally only watch horror films at home in the daylight - would it be too much for me?

My sister who I went with in 2005, said she will NEVER go again, she did get chased by 3 men with chainsaws screaming near spiderman ride, eventually got her into a corner.... waited let her go shouted run and chased her again. We loved it she didn't can't quite understand why.

Yes, if you're that bothered by scary stuff. It's pretty intense - I would liken it to actually being 'in' a horror movie for a lot of the time.

I absolutely promise you 100% that this is the main reason that we want to always go back in October. We have only been once but it was way and above better than anything else that we have ever done in Florida. I know that that is a big claim but it's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
We had a good night at MNSSHP where we got dressed up and really got into the spirit of it, but HHN still came out on top.
Yes they try to put the fear of his into you, and you may get someone with a chainsaw following you down the street, but it's a horror night. Fluffy bunnies need not apply.
If you scare easily, or wet your nickers when someone says BOO, then give it a miss (or take plenty of Tenna Ladies with you) but for a night you won't forget I can't recommend it highly enough.
I think there may be some photos of the one we went to in my signature below - our 2009 trip report.

Oo I may have to re-think attending then as I really am a bit scaredy cat. Wouldn't want to waste the money on something I would probably leave within 10 minutes from!

HHN tickets purchased, thinking of getting Sea World / Aquatica / Busch combi ticket now and then that just leaves an Epcot but not leaving much spare time.

14 Day Universal Pass
14 Day Island of Adventure Pass
HHN Rush of Fear Pass

Epcot - Food & Wine
14 Day Sea World
14 Day Sea World Aquatica
14 Day Busch Gardens

7 Parks in 9 days and I know I'll be going to Universal / Islands of Adventure over the weekend we arrive to make most of the Rush of Fear and probably most of time to soak in Diagon Alley :rotfl2:

same reason we've never gone..
i always want to go, but chicken out..
i can't even watch a horror picture on TV, so i doubt i'd survive HHN!!!
