When will I be able to 'rent' points from someone for October 2006? We're hoping to rent points for a 4-night stay at Fort Wilderness... Please let me know.

Email: mnbrown11@comcast.net

Thanks!

Hi!

Renting points to stay at a non-DVC resort is usually not the best use of a member's points or your money. For the most "bang-for-the-buck" when renting from a DVC member you should consider staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas, Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk, Old Key West, or Saratoga Springs Resort. The earliest anyone can make reservations for you is 11 months from your check-out date at their home resort and 7 months from your check-out date at any other of the DVC resorts. Hope this helps.

Thank you SO much... That helps me a lot. So I guess the most 'bang-for-the-bucks' will be a Villa at the Wilderness Lodge, which is fine by us, because my DH really wants to stay at FW (or the Villas) and it seems as though we may be adding more people to our original group. How many people can sleep in a FW Villa? And, if we 'rent' points, are we able to take advantage of the discounts that are available to DVC Members? Thanks!!

A studio and 1 bedroom can both sleep 4 plus a child under 3. A 2 bedroom can sleep 8 plus a child under 3 - there is a king bed in the master bedroom, 2 queen beds in the second bedroom and a pull-out sofa in the living room. Both the 1 and 2 bedroom villas have a kitchen dining/living room and a master suite with jacuzzi. Be forewarned that once you've stayed in a 1 or 2 bedroom suite it's really hard to go back to a studio!

The DVC discounts are, I believe, for members.

Congratulations on your growing family! Have you thought of joining the DVC family??? :teeth:
