We are flying into Bush Intercontinental. So I am thinking going to AG might be out of the plans.

Anybody else flying in?

Are you getting rental car? If so thirty to forty minutes to AG Doll Store from IAH. Take 45s. To 610 west o 10west to Gessner exit. SE corner of ten and Gessner is mall. Have not been in mall in a while. Dd and dw yet to go to new store.

We were looking to go after the cruise so I guess it depends on how fast we get off the ship. Our flight to return home doesn't leave until 3:45. So if we are one of the first ones off the ship maybe...
Thanks for the info Rancher Dave!

After the cruise sounds like you will have time to visit the AG store. We are on a back to back cruise so I think they are going to want us off the ship quickly. I remember when my youngest had American Girl Dolls. They grow up way too fast. pixiedust: Sherry

Does anybody know for sure....will we have a pirate night and a Halloween night? Just trying to pack accordingly...and not too much! I have called Disney but they weren't for sure since we are actually the week before Halloween.

I just checked and on Deck 3 there is a Promenade Lounge. It looks like an ok place to meet. Is anyone familiar with it? Sherry

OK so 3pm Deck 3 Promenade Lounge before muster drill for a brief meet and greet sounds good for us.

Everyone make sure to print your FE list and we can update any possible cabin changes at the 3pm brief meet and greet.

We are flying in from WI and are crossing our fingers that the airline doesn't lose our bags like last time! Disney was a huge help- our bags were flown into the first port by airline because they messed up so we didn't have bags for 3 days. What a mess! BUT... We were well taken care of because that's what Disney does best.We have been busy working on our fish extender gifts. The kids are so excited although nervous because there are many if any kids signed up their age. 17 son, 10 dd, and 9 son. I told them not everyone signs up for our group and there will be others.
We are looking forward to the warm weather as our highs for the days are starting to be only in the 50s....
Can't wait, and I would say we would meet but are not sure with our flight if we would be there, however, if we are some of us will drop in!
Can anyone tell me how long it would take to get the American girl store from the airport? My DD loves American girl and I am sure will be bringing one, but wants to see if we can go to the store in TX. The closest store to us is in Chicago and we have been there probably a dozen times but my DD wants to see if this store is different.

we have a 9yo

You should have time. Make sure to be off first then an hour to store.

Just caught that but a ds right? My10 yo dd and 17 yo ds are a little worried.

I'm pretty sure they will find friends, most people will not ever look at these boards and a lot that do don't sign up for the FE exchange so.......I'm thinking this will NOT be a kid free cruise by any means and there will be some peers for them to cruise with.

I am not sure where I saw it but I think I saw that we will have both. I am packing for both. I did an email from Disney dated Sept 11 stating that our cruise will be celebrating Halloween on our cruise. There will be candy bags for the children in their staterooms that they can bring to the party to collect even more treats (mostly a direct quote from email). Prizes will be awarded to adult costume participants based on the following categories. : Funniest, Best Group, Most Spooky, Most Original, and Most Disney.

My husband has opted to be a pirate so he only has to pack one dress up. No fun. pixiedust: Sherry

Just saw on Disboards that kids will sail free on select sailings out of Galveston. I am hoping to book a six night and take my four year old granddaughter. I follow Disboards on twitter which is where I got the info. :cool1: Sherry

How can you find out what the "select" dates are?

The info should be on Disboards under Discounts. The sailing dates for 2013 for six night cruises are 1/12, 1/26, 2/9and2/23. The eight night cruises are 1/4, 1/18, 2/15' and 3/1. Must have two paying adult fares and there are stateroom restrictions too but it sounds like a great deal.

Okay so are we closed on the fish extender list? I have a total of 30 adults and 13 kids (I divided them into 4 older kids and 9 younger kids). Am I right here? I am trying to plan my gifts.

Also - I started packing! Mobilizing my whole family should be interesting but I've started the process!!!

Hi all, we started packing for the cruise :). Quick question about parking. What are the best options here? See you all in the meet and greet.
