Julie: Thanks for the concern, but my parents are better off where they are. There house is handicapped accessable. They built it that way. My house is not. My mom would rather move into an assisted living than come live with us.

Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve. I felt horrible so we didn't celebrate. I felt bad for Ted. I even managed to mess up the prime rib. Never did that before.

Julie, just got an email from Stacey. She sure appreciates all your ideas. She's trying real hard to come up with things. She told me to thank you.

It's been warmer here then it is where you are Denine! LOL! I been looking at the weather and it's suppose to be in the 30's tomorrow, not 26. It's suppose to stay in the upper 20's and 30's all next week. We had our windows up yesterday!!! It was wonderful!!!

Sandy, that link was truly touching. My heart goes out to all of you!!! I can't believe Rich's brother and his wife would say that either. Some people can be so rude in what they say and do! Unfortunately I know way too many people like that!! It's all about them and they have it so much worse then other people... always has to be in the "spot light" for everyone. So sad!

Denine, I figured as much, I just couldn't let my mom go to assistant living knowing what we went through with my dad. I guess I have a different look on it since I went through something like what your parents are going through and knowing how things "turned" out... I know we all would have done things differently. I guess I look at things differently since I have only 1 parent left and my kids only have 1 grandparent left and not from the medical aspect that you look at it.

Barb, I hope you had a great New Years!!! What did you guys do?

Heidi, how's the snow? I heard you guys were getting hit pretty hard out there. I also read that BOTH Dakota's and Minnisota pretty much closed down completely do to the snow they got New Years. That would have put a damper on any party activities.

Yay, my laptop is in. They had to replace the mother board and the hard drive. I absolutely love extended warranties on computers. Bad part is that we have to reload programs. Yuck!

I'm on the computer researching Hawaii. We got an invitation in the mail for 5 nights, 6 days on Kaui at a resort for 849 total for lodging. I think they got our name from when we stayed at the Swan. I am sure we would have to sit for a vacation club meeting. I just want to research it before doing ANYTHING. Would be fun, tho!

Back to school today. Jerry is working from home. He is going to start working from home 2 days a week now. They are changing the way they do the taxes and we pay less (plus less gas for the car) if he works from home.

Sandy: Would love to go to Hawaii some day. When do you leave for your cruise?

Got my laptop back today. Trying to reload the extras plus all of our info. Gotta remember the printer and good grief. I just want it all to end.

Happy New Years!

Back to work and still sick since the end of November. I do however finally have a voice back. I don't sound very good but at least it is better then the whisper I had over the weekend.

Went to Pattys house in New Mexico for New Years. My Mom & Dad, Linda & Terry, Linda's daughter Kimi and her new husband and Patty's family were all there. Had a really good time minus the hacking I was doing.

Sandy-just watched the video you posted. I am sitting here wiping tears. Such a cute little boy. So heartbreaking to see him during the seizers. I can't even imagine the pain you suffer everytime Tyler goes through that. My hairdresser has a little girl with the same thing. No explaination. She is about 10 but several years behind in her development because as Keri puts it "everytime she learns something new she has a seizer and forgets" They have tried everything diet, chiropractics, med, surgeries.... nothing has changed. I ask about her everytime I go in but so far the reports are always the same. I will continue to pray for Stacey & Tyler and all of your family. So glad that your friends little boy has been seizer free since 2007 and praying praying praying that will be Tylers story too.

Good Morning

Pretty scary when the last 3 posts are from me!

Left work late last night, stopped at the store went home made dinner for last night and Wednesday and breakfast for this morning. After dinner spent the rest of the night on the couch on my laptop. I LOVE HAVING A LAPTOP!!!!

I see the new ship is in Florida now sure wish I was getting ready to board. Looks like we will be cruising Oct 16th to the 20th with Jason, Michelle and baby Alana. YAY!! SOOO EXCITED!! have not taken a Disney cruise since 2004 Dang College & Wedding expenses. Hoping to be on the maiden voyage for the Fantasy.

Going to go back to water aerobics tonight. I have not been since November. Between the holidays, vacation and being sick I have not gone. I still get so out of breath because I am still really sick so gonna take it slow.

Kaleigh woke up not feeling well this morning. She has a slight fever and the sniffles. Tylenol usually works wonders, so we will see. She starts back up with PSR this evening after being off the whole month of December.

Good morning dis family! Sorry I have been MIA for awhile. I am just swamped at work and then get home exhausted and spend the time playing with the puppy! I hope everyone had a great holiday!

I am so excited to begin fundraising for Tyler's seizure dog. For a Christmas gift to my sister, I am watching Tyler and Joey over night Saturday and my BIL is taking Stacey to a night out with a nice dinner, hotel, and spa treatment. First time I have spent the night alone with him when his seizures are so bad, but all I can do is make sure that he doesn't smother himself in his sleep. I will also have the girls so I am thinking of making it a big slumber party in my sister's room. The girls will be on the air mattress and Joey, Tyler and I will be in my sister's bed!

I convinced Chris to come home a week early then yesterday found out I have to take a trip out to DC for work so I was a little bummed out. I get to see him a few days before I take off. When I get back from DC, I am in the office for 2 days....then off to the Dream!!!! I cannot wait. I am trying to convince Chris to go to the Port today and take pictures of the Dream. He is 91 miles away from her!!!! I think he is convinced but his sister isn't!!!!

Julie - Since we booked him on Southwest we didn't have to pay any major fees to have him change the flight. The Flight went up $6 so that is what we had to pay. I love Southwest for that!!! Great suggestions for the fundraisers. I have never heard of the bar one before. Not sure they do that here, but sounds fun!

Barb - That will be so much fun to cruise with Alana next year!!!! Not sure when we are going to sail next. I know June of 2012 we will be back out to FL for a graduation so maybe we can combine it then!

Denine - Such a tough decision with your parents. I am like Julie, I would rather take care of my parents if I could than have someone else do it.

Susan - Happy 2011!!! Hoping this year is much better for you!

Barb, thanks for the prayers. With Emmett becoming seizure free, it helps us keep the faith. I was shocked when you posted you haven't been on a cruise for that long. I guess I had forgotten that you cancelled several. I think you will have a grand time.
