Welcome home Barb!

Well, my mom called. The doctor called this morning and asked if she could come in today instead of tomorrow. WELL, the doctor said that she HAS to have a knee replacement. It will be in June. They gave her the date of the 24th but that is the day we come home from vacation, so she is going to ask to move it to the 29th. She will be in the hospital for 3 days maybe 4. SHe is in so much pain that I'm glad she will be getting it done. She is now panicing about my dad and I told her we have 2 months to get things in order for him and try and get someone to help with him. FUN FUN FUN!!!!

Bless her heart worried about your Dad when she is in so much pain. She is lucky to have you to help her!

WOW Anna Marie is done with a year of college already! Doesn't seem like that long ago we were talking love seats! Tiffany stores her stuff in a storage place so she does not have to drag it all home. It is pretty cheap and well worth it!

I bet you are going to be hopping with all the end of the year school stuff going on. May is such a busy busy time of year when you have kids.

Barb, I have to say that is pretty funny that Amanda ended up on your plane. What a hastle. Not funny at the tiime but it sure is funny to us reading about it. Good grief, who would of thought??!! The wedding sounded so beautiful. Just like a dream weddinng. BOB ON THE DANCE FLOOR?? WOW! Remember that name that I wanted to call you but held off......well, I haven't forgotten especially since I read only 17 more days until you go AGAIN!!!

Glad everyone has found our new "DIS-home". I kindof panicked when the old one was locked. I couldn't remember how to do anything but post replies to the existing thead. Somehow, I figured it out.

We have been having PC issues so I haven't been able to post much. I ordered some RAM to upgrade my memory on my desktop since it is sooooo slow. I haven't installed it yet. I had to backup Paul's laptop and reinstall the Windows Operating System then all the programs he has. I just got that finished late last night.

I am still seeing the chiropractor because of the wreck but I am so much better. They did total my car but I did not accept their offer for the damages. So, we are negotiating. Wish me luck. At least I am still in the rental through at least Friday.

Still don't know about my job yet. A lot of people that did not lose their job got 10-15% pay cuts. I am preparing for either that or displacement. I hope they tell us soon. I hate being in limbo.

I'll try to get back on later this week if the RAM install goes well.

Good to hear from you Susan. I wonder if Barb could give you some pointers on dealing with the insurance company. Great news to hear that you are doing better. Sheez, computer problems never end!! Believe me, I know.

Computer problems...... Tell us about it! Garry's computer died last week!! His motherboard went on it and it was actually cheaper to buy a new one then getting another motherboard and having it installed. Oh well! A computer is a must anymore. We are wondering if we had a power surge and our surge strip went bad and that's why both of our computers went within months of each other. SO, we went out and got a new computer with a NEW surge strip. I told Garry from now on, Santa is going to give everyone a surge strip in their stockings EVERY year!!!! Garry had read somewhere that those strips are only good for a year. We haven't gotten me a new computer yet, but I have the laptop so I'm good for now.

OH OH. Maybe we should replace our surge power strip. At least when our mother board went out we were still under warranty. POOR LAUTER'S!!!!!

Warranties...... No way! LOL!! It's Lauter luck for things to go bad AFTER the warranties are up.

Believe me.... our power surge strips WILL be replaced every year!!!

Julie - I cannot believe Anna Marie's first year of college is almost done. Did it go by fast for her? That is so cool that the school put on something for the siblings. I bet all the kiddos enjoyed that. Thanks for the heads up on the surge protector. Now I am all paranoid and am going to have to change mine once a year!

Barb - Welcome back home. I cannot believe you get to go back to FL so soon, I am so jealous. The wedding sounded fabulous. Your plane story about Amanda is hilarious, I cannot believe she ended up on the same flight as you.

Susan - I pray you only find out good news on your job and I hope the insurance company isn't trying to rip you off. How horrible to have to deal with all of that stress at once.

Good Morning

Quick post trying to get it done in-between calls. Not much new with me. Water aerobics tonight. overtime today.

We have not had internet for over a month. Been working with our provider who can't seem to figure out what is wrong. grrrrrrrr. Missy said she had a dream that we had the internet again. I see serious withdraws!

Today is my Dad's 80th birthday. Can seem to come up with a good present guess I will get him the usual. Soooo boring but he is hard to buy for!

I am SUPER excited to be going to Disney in 16 days!!! I made a paper chain for Ethan and punched out Mickey heads on it. Still don't think he gets the concept. I told him diapers are not allowed on the plane for big boys only babies. He told me he will bring big boy underware and potty in the potty. Do you think he will..... NOT!

Susan-If you have any questions about the insurance end of it. I would be happy to help if I can. Just let me know.

Julie-I have never replaced our power strip. YIKES! Guess that will be on my "To Do" list.

Sandy-How is Tyler? When does he go into the hospital?

Heidi-Not much longer now!! You must be really getting SUPER anxious! How much do the girls know? Did you decide how to surprise them? I hope worrying about Tyler does not put to much of a damper on your trip. I know he is on your heart a lot.

I am looking at going to Disney in September/October with Jaymee and Louis. With the meal plan free and military people get in free. Passes for spouse's, friends and family are only $99 for 5 days it is a SUPER DEAL! Airline tickets are even down!! YIPEE!!! Just call me Denine!

Julie: I forgot about little sibs weekend. Sounds like they had a blast. It seems like Anna Marie just started school. Yikes about Garry's computer. I hope the knee replacement helps. You will definitely need to find some help for your dad during her recovery. Make sure she talks to a social worker at the hospital. They may be able to help.

Susan: I hope the insurance can be settled to your satisfaction. Pixie dust for your job.

Today is a normal day. Unfortunately, Jerry seems to be getting a cold. Too much stress and I have a little headache. It is to rain on and off all day and tonight. Then the weather greatly improves on Thursday.

Barb, Garry knew it was your dad she was talking about. He was trying to be funny that's why he said it wasn't HIS birthday. He wasn't making fun of your dad or anything.

Heidi, did you decide how you are going to tell the girls or have you already? Did you come up with something creative? The sibs and kids weekend was really neat. If you are on facebook, you can look me up and I have an photo album from the weekend. Anna Marie tagged me and now I have them on my page. I don't know how to post them from there to here.

Sandy, I got your message. We should be good now. I don't know much about it either!

Denine, I was wondering, do you know of anyone from your work that does part time health care? Cause my mom has been talking with social services already and they are trying to work something out for when she will be in the hospital, but it is the month after that she will need help. This whole process is strange and their are trying to tell my mom that he doesn't really qualify for assistance. They keep saying put him in a nursing home, and we all know that's not gonna happen.

Susan, glad to hear you are feeling better from your accident. Keep up posted about the car situation. Also, we will keep our fingers crossed for the job situation too!

Julie: Things sure have changed since I worked in the hospital. Social services really worked with the families to meet their homegoing needs. I don't know of anyone offhand at work that does part time care. I would look into an agency. Maybe the social worker can give you a list of good agencies at least.

I have a lake in backyard from all the rain. It is supposed to become scattered by this afternoon. Supposed to be sunny and upper 50's tomorrow!
Sun and low to mid 60's on Friday!

The park program today is on the Underground Railroad.

Jerry is feeling better. Hopefully he won't get sick. He can fight stuff off better than I can.
