Sandy, I love the TV again too! I love Boston Rob and I hope he can go far. I can't wait for the Amazing Race too!!!

Heidi, that stinks. Garry has worked without a contract for the past 2 years, no pay raises for the last 2 1/2 years, and the city wanted them to have furlough days as well. It's bad all over.

Well, Denine MUST be back in Ohio. It was sunny out and almost 60 degrees, then it went gray and the temp. dropped.... Thanks Denine!;) The past week it has been really nice out. Almost all the snow and ice had melted.... Oh well, we knew it wasn't gonna last ... not until next month anyways... but I will take the 50 degrees......

Just took a minute to check the board. I've been cleaning the house... the girls room, 5 loads of laundry already, my frig is cleaned out and I'm working on my bathroom. At least I could do all of this with my windows open!!!

Well be back later! We have family fitness night at school tonight so the kids and I will be going for while. It's sooooo much fun! That is where I first learned Zumba!!!! They have the kids and parents and everyone do it.. IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!

TTFN

Heidi, don't work yourself up in a panic yet.

I just don't understand pay freezes, furlough days etc. The economy needs people to spend but how can they spend when money is taken away? I truly think this country has been handed over to the rich and the middle class suffers. I vote to take away free healthcare for all politicians.

I'm with you Julie. I need to go clean, clean, clean. I put it off till the last minute because of the Scensy Party this Saturday. This poor little house will be bursting at the seams.

Julie - I LOVE ZUMBA!!!!!!!!!!! I do it 3 days a week. Best exercise ever and so much fun, but then again it is not exercise it is a dance party! (that is what my instructor says!!!) The Wii Zumba game is fun too.

Mom - Trying not to panick but with Chris not having a job and me being the only financial support its tough. Just think you are doing it for your grandson as I keep telling myself I am doing it for my nephew.

Just got done with my interview. It is much harder having people you know interview you than complete strangers. They already know all the answers about me! One question was "if they called your current supervisor, what would they say about you." Um…why don’t you ask her, she is sitting right next to me, lol!

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Don't think that I am trying to downplay your situation because I know I would be freaking as well. With Chris not working it definitely would strain your budget. My advice was easy to give but I'm not in your situation and I know you are a HUGE planner. Hang in there. It isn't final is it???

YIKES, where is their human compassion?? I can see a pay freeze, no problem. But 28 furlough days????

Hey all, we are back home. We got home last night. Maurice kept us up a lot of the night meowing and banging on the bedroom door. I would have let him in, but he wouldn't have let me sleep at all if I did.

Can't believe how nice today turned out to be. We even have a couple windows cracked open.

I haven't read anything yet, maybe tomorrow.

Hi everyone. Very busy week again at work. Also, Turner had 2 hockey games today and there are 2 more tomorrow. He got a shutout this evening 4-0!!! My mom, my niece and her husband and their 4 kids came to watch the game. It was great that they got to see such a good effort from our team.

The last 2 days have been in the 70s and I have been loving it!!! Tomorrow should be another nice day.

Hope the fundraiser went well today!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

We are home and it is supposed to get crummy this afternoon and evening with snow and ice. Supposed to be headed to Julie's later for the kids birthday party. I hope the roads will be OK.

Money is tight everywhere! I haven't had a raise in several years. They are talking layoffs again where Jerry works.

We had a really nice trip, but wish the weather was better the first week. We would have been fine if the temps had gotten to what they forescast for the day, but so much of the time it was 10 degrees cooler. There is a big difference between 57 and 67! It was finaly warming up this week and we had to leave. The one day is it was soo cold and rainy that we really didn't do anything. It was amazing to me the nu mber of people walking around in shorts and tees when it was 52 out. I guess they didn't pack appropriatley or think those temps are warm enough.
We aboslutely loved Via Napoli! The pizza was really yummy and the service outstanding. We ended up going back a second time.
We decided that while the "no crowd" thing was nice, we would rather have warmer temps and more people.
The cats had fun while we were away. They set off the motion detectors twice, last Sunday and again Wednesday. I have no idea what they did, because no one has ever done it before. We got the 7 AM phone call twice from Jerry's mom who gets the call from the alarm compnay when we don't answer the phone. The police went out both times and said everything looked OK. We then had the pet sitter change the setting to turn off the motion dectectors. I didn't want the police to think we were a nuisance.

Jerry is watching the Daytona 500 and Kaleigh is in her room, so here I am.

Hi everyone, the party went pretty good and my house survived!

I feel that 28 days without pay is asking way too much. We have all gone without raises but on top of that take away 28 days of pay for the year??? That is basically 5 weeks without pay. Over one month of work days. That is certainly the worse thing I can think of for a family. I will be here for you Heidi!

Thanks mom, I appreciate that. I guess we will be eating over every night. ;)

Denine - Sorry your first week was cold. When we got there it was cold and they had a huge rainstorm with tornados so it was pretty scary. The first cruise was chilly but the second one warmed up.

Susan - Glad the boys played well!

We had a nice time at Garry's party last night. Thankfully, the freezing rain had turned back into rain before we left. The roads were fine. We woke up to about 1/4" of ice coating everything this morning. Luckily no one had to go anywhere. Now it is snowing on top of the ice that didn't melt. Welcome Home!

Sandy: Glad the party went well!

Denine, Julie predicted the weather would change once you got back and I guess it did.

Ted and I are booking our vacation club week in Cozumel again this year. We really enjoyed it last year. We didn't do much but sat around last year but maybe this time we will take a snorkel tour from the diving shop at the resort. I'm thinking about adding a sunset cruise this time as well. Or maybe rent a jeep again and drive the island. We had fun doing that a few years ago. We shall see. I was trying to plan a day trip to Tulum but decided it was too many different modes of transportation to the mainland, to Tulum and back to Cozumel. That will have to wait until we go to Playa Del Carmen again.

I am jealous!!! Have fun! I cannot wait until Chris gets out of school so we can join you more.

Today is a short week for me, only working 3 days! Very exciting for me!!

Sandy: It is a lot of traveling to get to Tulum from Cozumel. Glad you got your trip booked.

The sun is shining and it is cold and ice is still everywhere. I am hoping the sun will help even though it is still only gonna be in the 20's today.

Everyone knows the weather improves when we leave and gets bad when we return. But, if I had such control over the weather; why can't I make it nice when we are here and bad when we leave?

Is it spring yet? I am ready to leave again to someplace actually warm, anyplace! I hate being stuck in the house!

Denine, Spring is on it's way, no worries. No need to pack your bags (unless you want a vacation :)

Heidi, I can't wait to show off our resort in Cozumel to you guys. Not fancy at all like Xcaret but it's on the beach. What more can you ask for? Plus the First Club is extremely nice. A whole different atmosphere than Xcaret.

Good morning. Lilly is losing teeth like crazy, there is blood everywhere now because of that since she is chewing on everything!

Sunny!

At least the ice in the driveway melted yesterday. The ice still needs to melt off the trees before we get more ice. It is supposed to get to the mid-30's today but still only 25.

Well, if Kaleigh didn't have PSR yesterday for President's Day, it would have been cancelled anyway. That school system was closed because of power outages from the ice. If school is closed, no PSR.

Now Jerry's car is acting up; something with the traction system. It just sounds like $$$ to me.

Not much going on here.

I work on Friday and find out my hours for next month.
Kaleigh start the theater program again on Friday evening.

My nephew is 18 today. I remember holding him as a tiny thing in the hospital after he was born. Time flies!

Denine, sure hope it isn't $$$$ to fix Jerry's car. It never ends, does it?

Heidi, poor baby. I don't remember Shorty bleeding but maybe he didn't chew on his toys like Lilly. I don't remember buying him toys. Wow, now I feel like a HORRIBLE person.
