So much to talk about and so little time.

Congrats, Lori, on the 1st place!! You were so excited and obviously had every right to be.

Denine, I hope you guys finally got to make the peach pie! I love fresh peaches. I made a peach/bueberry crisp last week that was awesome!

Sandy, sounds like you had a nice surprise party. You really do not look like you are going to be 50!

Spent the evening in the ER with Turner. He fell playing soccer and landed on his left arm again. They don't think his wrist is broken but they have him in a brace and we need to make an Orthopedic appt. for later this week. Here we go again! I am so tired. We didn't get home until a ittle after 11:00 and today is the first day of school. Not a good way to start off 4th grade, huh! And, hockey try-outs are Sept 4th!

Gotta go get ready for work and help Turner get ready for school.

Later!

Good Morning!!

Wow lots of posts to catch up on this morning.

Lori-Any chance of you posting a picture of the float?? I really would like to see your creation.

Sandy-What a fun fun fun weekend you had. Happy almost birthday.

Susan-Hope turner is ok. He sure is a BOY!

Bonnie-Hope the vitamins are working. Not much longer till you get to be with Glen again. You guys really need to settle on a state to live in.

Denine-Sounds like a fun way to spend a black out time. How did the pie turn out?

This is the big camping trip week for me. I rented 2 tents and spent the weekend looking for stuff like air mattress and another sleeping bag. We started setting every thing aside and bought most of the groceries.

Barb:smooth:

Jerry "worked" from home on Friday. He had already planned on it so I could finish staining the deck. I still had to do the railings. It turned out Key told employees to stay home anyway because they had no power or water. Then they told everyone to conserve energy by not using AC, computers, doing laundry, using large appliances.... Jerry signed on for a little and I had to do a load of Kaleigh's laundry.

I made the peach pie Saturday morning. It turned out really yummy, but it didn't look as nice. The humidity took a toll on my pie crust. I love peach pie! I also have some blueberries that I am going to combine with the peaches into something. We went over to some friends on Saturday afternoon. We cooked out and just relaxed and enjoyed the pie. They tooksome pictures of Kaleigh and 1 of me. I am waiting for him to e-mail them to me.

Sunday I had a bunch of stuff to get done. The furniture store was having a sale, so we went to see if the baker's rack I wanted was on sale. It was the same "sale" price as last time. But the salesman we work with gave us a good price on it. So, I will be getting my new baker's rack in a couple of weeks, then hopefully my new bookshelves will come shortly thereafter. Then we went to Kohl's and bought a ton of socks. They were on sale and we desperatley needed them. The were only using partial lights to conserve electricity. Personally, I thought they could have turned down the AC. It was freezing in there!

Jerry is working from home again today. The rear tire on his car was losing air big time. So, he had to stay home so he could take it up and get it fixed.

Lori: Congrats on the float!

Sandy: What a great surprise!

Barb: Enjoy camping!

Julie: Did you ever receive my phone message?

Sue: Not eaxctly the best way to start the school year. Hope Turner is feeling better. Hope your dad feels better after his iron infusion.

Bonnie: Sounds like you are shopped out. I like to shop once in a while.

Laurie: Peek in a little more often!

Poor Turner. Here we go again! Emergency rooms are always very tiring. Spent so much time in them between Ted and broken limbs and Stacey with epilepsy. Maybe he is done with that!!!!!!!

Denine, glad you got your bakers rack. Peach pie sounds so good. Our "adopted" grandparents were baking peach pie as we pulled away from the campground. It smelled so good. She knows it is my favorite and had all intentions on sharing with me but we left early. Now I know why! Gee Denine, just ask Laurie and me-------air conditioning is never too cold. I bet Laurie and I could have enjoyed that shopping trip at Kohl's. I got a gift card from there last night so I plan to go shopping today.

Barb, you gotta post pics of you camping. It is a monumental occasion for YOU!

Lori, you are from CA. You should be familiar with Del Taco. They are building one by Krispy Kreme and Chucky Cheese on Quebec and County Line. It is my family's favorite fast food in CA. so we are soooo looking forward to it. Bet Ben likes it.

Shopping time. Going to be a goooood day! I have "free" money.

Turner! THis is not the way to get out of school!! Hopefully it is a sprain although they can sometimes be worse than a break...stay whole!

Barb...I am trying to picture you camping...I hope somebody has a video camera. I would love to see it. Actually I would like to see if there is room for people in the vehicle once you pack.

Have a great day all. Maybe more later.

Just came back from another visit to the hospital. My Dad is still undergoing the iron infusion. They started about 11:30 and they hope he will be finished by 10:00 tonight. What a long day for him and his girlfriend. I am so thankful for her. Since their company shut down she has lots of time to help him with things like this.

Turner's wrist is still hurting so I gave him some Motrin and we are both planning to get to bed early. He had a great first day of 4th grade. He completed all his work so he had no homework! He is trying hard to show us he can do better this year. I think he really means it. Time will tell.

So enough from me for now. Later!

Bonnie - did the zinc, vitamin C, etc. work for you? I have a horrible sore throat, an earache and a very stuffy head this morning. I'm sure this is not allergies anymore! I guess I better start taking something to fight this thing off!

Have a great day everyone!

Later!

Good Morning!!

Wow no secrets with this bunch!! Bonnie how did you know about my "overpacking" problem?? I am a "always be prepared" type of person. Bob always says we should be taking a Uhaul when we go to Disney.

Camping will be a challenge. I have been pricing top of the line airmattress and below 0 sleeping bags. I did hear the campsite we are going to have showers. That was like music to my ears when I heard that good news!! I like my comfort zone and am not looking forward to steping outside it.

Susan-Hope you get to feeling better.

I have been trying to finish our guest room for the intern. I had to buy a bed, bed rails, sheets, comforter, new blind, curtins, in addition to all Jaymee's bed stuff for school. They are both getting Disney stuff because it is on sale! Jaymee loves the comforter and bed sheets I ordered for her once she saw it she HAD to have a big Pooh to sit on her bed because he matches the sheets. Pooh will arrive in the mail this week!

I got to talk via email back and forth yesterday to Jason. He is still enjoying Korea. The best part is he gets a month home in December just in time for the surprise Disney trip.

We hear from Mike at least once a week from Iraq. He is so home sick. He has gotten word that he will be returning next April. He will be able to go on the Oct 2004 Disney cruise with us.

Denine-How is the bakers rack??

Sandy-The big day is getting closer and closer. Are things still falling into place?? Once you are through this lets plan an "End of the Summer" get together. I miss seeing you and Lori.

Barb:smooth:

Barb, aren't you the sweetest! We WILL get together after the wedding. With my birthday surprise, the shower and the camping, we still have a lot more pew bows to go and I want them done by her shower this Sunday. Guess we better get some done TODAY! Any bets that they won't be done???? Sounds like you are having a great time with the intern's bedroom and Jaymee's stuff. Barb, email me and let me know where you are going camping. I would love to know. I don't feel comfortable doing it on an open board.

Sorry Susan that you are still not feeling good. Sounds like another trip to a doctor. Don't let it get ahead of you this time. Hope Turner's wrist is doing better.

Good morning. Supposed to be nice and warm today, 86 and sunny.

Not much going on. It is ragweed time and my allergies are in full swing. Ugghhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like everyone continues to be busy as always.

Have a good day! :D

Oh Turner! Preserve that body! It needs to last long enough to carry you thru the pro's and support your good ol' Mom and Dad.

Barb, can you believe I don't have a picture of the float. We forgot the camare on parade day. I'm sure there are tons of pictures somewhere though, so I'll ask around for someone to email me one.

You guys have me craving a peach pie. Not just a piece mind you... the whole pie!

Well, we survived the first day of school. Katie had quite a bit of homework already. Yuk! We ended up getting up an extra half hour early this morning to get further along on a bunch that's due Fri, just to keep above water when she gets more tonight.

Later gaters.

  BE CAREFUL TURNER!!!!!

Hey, could you guys pass me a slice of that peach pie???

Hey! thought I'd check in and see how you all were doing? Haven't (and won't! LOL) read the 80+++ pages so am in the dark (I know it's my fault!). Kids are growing up, so I have a bit more time and am starting to come back to the computer! Getting psyched for our adult only cruise Nov. 8th! My Dad is done with chemo - now it's wait and see. Going to see him Labor Day as my sister is getting married at his house.

Hope everyone is ok! Even though I don't lurk or post, I think about ya!

Hi Diana!! how funny to hear from you. I was thinking about
you last night when I was shampooing my carpet. I was thinking how much I missed reading posts from you and just figured you were busy with all the kids. Especially this time of year starting back in school.

What a way to brighten a rotten day!!!!!! Diana posted. Glad you checked in and hope that you find more time again. Lucky you and an adult cruise. Have a great time. Hope all is well with your dad. Weddings are in the air this September.

CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!

I see them all over the place!!!! Diana posted!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!! I need my smelling salts!!! I think I will pass out !!!!

Glad to hear you are doing well Diana...check in more often please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still think of you sitting on deck with your PJ's on!! Only one as petite as you could get away with that!

Sue: The zinc/vit/eccyne. worked very well. I have also been taking my Zyrtec faithfully. A little scratchy throat and that sort of "I don't feel well" kind of feeling but I can breathe!!!! Poor Glenn sounds awful!!!!!! And no nurse out there to take care of him...there better not be anyway since I'm here!

Oh Turner! Preserve that body! It needs to last long enough to carry you thru the pro's and support your good ol' Mom and Dad.

...and this from Motorcycle Mama!!!! One of those do as I say not as I do!

Barb...I can picture all the stuff!!!! How's mom? Haven't heard from her in a long time!!! Patti alias Patty either!!!!

My baby is only 9 years old and he is on the phone with a girl from school (Tori) and I overheard them talking about another girl (Brianna). I think Brianna likes Turner but won't tell him. I heard him say if she "won't say it to my face then it's over". What is "it"??? This is starting way too early.

Another good day for Turner. He got all of his homework done before he got home!! And he already knows 20 of 25 spelling words for the week! Who is this child? Definitely not the one I had last school year!

Hi, Diana! Good to hear from you. Glad your Dad's chemo is over.

Sandy - why the rotten day?

Paul and I still have the sore throat and feel yucky stage of these colds. Taking a few things to try to get it to end soon! Think I'll get to bed right after Big Brother.

Weigh in tomorrow. I am hoping for a pound loss! I would be thrilled! We'll see.

Glad to see all my friends posting more. We were a little too quiet last week with the blackout and all!

Later!

Hi All! Glad to see everyone checking in especially Diana! Well, we came through the blackout fine. We went to the Browns first football game (pre season) on friday night. When we got home from it, I tried to log onto my computer to check the boards and my computer DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't start up or anything! We think that my stepdaughter was trying to get on to play a game and I had unplugged the computer and we think that she might have shorted something out trying to hook everything up. SOOOOOOOOOO, I had to go out on Sat and buy another computer tower. All my email addresses are gone, our cookbook that I was working on, and my pampered chef stuff. SOOOO, I have to look into seeing how much it will cost to fix it so I can get all my stuff back. I din't get my email working until today on the new one (thanks to Garry).

Denine, yes I did get your phone messages, but I have really bad case of "prego brain" and I forget to do everything! I'm sorry I forgot to call you back. Will your forgive me? Garry has the next 3 days off so maybe we can get together then? How's Thursday or Friday? I think he might have Sat off too. Just let me know.

Susan, how are you feeling and how is Turner's arm? You guys better take better care of yourselves!

Bonnie, I think that you might have to go to Glen early to nurse him back to health and he can do the same for you:p :p !

Sandy, I'm soory to hear that you had a bad day today. I hope that tomorrow will be better. SO has Ted given in to the fact that you WILL be going to Disney in Dec?

Barb, have a great time camping! I give you credit because I'm a hotel gal! The only time I went camping, my brother rented an RV with air, frig, stove, etc.... so that is my extent of camping. Have FUN!!!!!!!!!!

Lori, I got your email with the float picture attached, but I couldn't open it. Could yo try and send it to me again? I want to see the winning float!!! You should be nominated for Mom of the year! YOU GO GIRL!

Well, gonna go! Be back later today!
